《Level Up Lord》Chapter 1: Karl the Baby
Advertisement
An old woman came, alerted by the cry of the baby. The woman looked big. Very big.
'Is she a giant??'
"Oh my, you must be hungry, right? Here's your treat."
The old woman carried him and fed him with a bottle of warmed milk.
The bottle was made of wood and the tip was just covered with a thin layer of cloth but whatever it is, when you are hungry, you just shut your mouth up and eat what is given to you.
"My boy, what an appetite you do have, hohoho (*it's not Santa Claus laugh). You are new here so let's give you a name as well. It would be too cruel for a cute baby such as you to not have any name."
So yeah, he now has a name: Karl.
'Well, it's not too bad as a name I guess.' thought Karl, the baby.
"Boo-booh"
"Oh, you are happy now? What an adorable baby you are. May Demeteria bless you, Karl."
And so, after being fed, Karl was layed back on his bed.
'Demeteria? From what she says, that must be the name of the God in which she believes in'
He tried to move his body after the old woman was gone but without much success. So he tried to swing his arms upwards. A bit chubby, white, petit but fragile looking arms. Like a baby's arm. And look at those small tiny hands! A baby's hand!
Yeah, now it's confirmed: Karl really wasn't in a land of giants (or in an attraction park) but he became a baby.
'So I should think I've reincarnated or something like that and since I see this weird game window, this must be somewhat like in those fantasy novels. Well, I have no choice but to live on, get used to this and try to survive.'

There was no goods in being panicked and Karl fortunately was cool-headed. And there wasn't much he could do anyway as for now.
And so, Karl spent a few days trying to know more about his actual situation and his surroundings.
So here's what he got:
1. He's an orphan (and the status window confirms it) and is in an orphanage.
2. For an unknown reason, he understands the language spoken by the old woman. And this language doesn't look like any of those spoken on Earth.
3. The old woman is a nun. Her name is Emmanuella.
4. There's 9 more other children in this orphanage, all older than him.
5. There's a pinkish red moon in the sky!!!
6. The orphanage doesn't seem to be in a good financial situation.
7. This world looks like the Middle Ages in Earth from what could be seen. The tools, the orphanage's building, the clothes... So a medieval fantasy world?
'I feel so powerless...But wait, babies tend to roll over at around their 3rd or 4th months of birth! And the earlier I can do that, the earlier I could get out of this tiny wooden bed and move around! Well, this is just my expectation but let's do this. It doesn't hurt to try and I've got nothing better to do anyway.'
That's how Karl tried over and over to flip over.
2 more days has passed and finally, Karl succeeded to flip over!
'Hell yeah! I don't know why but it somehow feels like I've accomplished a great achievement!'
'Damn it.'
But nobody except a single mosquito congratulated Karl for his effort.
'Fuck mosquito!'
Karl smashed the fucking mosquito that tried to bite his arm with its fucking needle and fucking suck his blood to the bone!
Spaf!
Suddenly, a small window popped up along with a bell sound.

The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound
As the system initializes, the world shifts. Geography is rearranged and mixed, and levels and stats are instituted across the globe. On that night, one young man was walking through an underground tunnel, his mind on the small problems of his easy life. Because of his location during the shift, he starts in a dungeon far above his level, with no knowledge or teacher, or Newbie Village to guide him. Without a class, he struggles simply to survive in this world changed by its new connection to the Nexus. But struggle he will, for he is Randidly Ghosthound, and this is only how his legend begins... Cover credit to cthulupillar **Author's Note** This started as a way to destress and play with overly complicated stats systems and level systems, and I just kept writing. I don't really take it very seriously, but feel free to read and enjoy.

Soul of the Warrior
In a world where Classes, Stats, and Levels are the everyday norm, Reivyn has a secret. He was unusually aware of his surroundings from an incredibly early age, and Skills and Stats were acquired easily. He was just the son of an ordinary village family, and nothing appeared out of the ordinary on the surface. But below the surface, dreams of another life help shape his mentality and growth. Why does he have some remembrance of a past life, and what is his purpose in this new one? "Soul of the Warrior" is what I call a Semi-Isekai LitRPG. I say "semi," because Reivyn's past life is remembered like a dream, and very incomplete. It is still Isekai, though, as he remembers enough that it directly shapes his personality and his sense of self. The System that governs the world of "Soul of the Warrior" is a combination of modified versions from Selkie's "Beneath the Dragoneye Moons" and Kosnik4's "Magic Smithing." I have changed enough of these Systems and combined them in a way that is unique that I'm mostly sure it's fine, but I still have requested permission to use these ideas. They have both graciously granted me permission. Winner of the April Writathon Challenge. Release Schedule is Mon, Wed, Fri on Royal Road.
