When he logged out he sensed something weird. He was no longer lying on the bed but on the floor. He was lying on some kind of dust. When he looked around, he saw that it was his bed that has turned to dust. His clothes have also turned in to dust leaving him naked as the day he was born. He felt something on his hand and saw the Link in his hand emitting a large amount of ether.

“This…, What happened here? It cant be…” He looked at the potted plant he kept by the window. His face turned pale seeing that the entire plant has withered away.

“No no no…, this can’t be happening now! My curse has not acted for last two years.” When he started to hyperventilate due to panic he noticed something that made him calm down.

“I’m not absorbing life energy any more.” he concentrated and felt his energy flow. His meridians are still at the sealed state. There are no abnormal energy flow.

He frowned his eyes thinking a bit and then walked towards the balcony. It was still evening and there are people outside. He calmed himself down and become one with the concept of wind. He could feel everything in several hundred meter radius. After checking that no one was looking he jumped down from the balcony on to a nearby tree and touched it with his bare hand. Nothing happened to the tree.

“Aha, that’s a relief.” He smiled and jumped back to the balcony and went inside the room to get changed.

“What could have caused this? Is this because because what I did in the game? I should probably log in for a minute and check.”

He sat on the floor in lotus position and logged in to the game.

“Player Lin Shen will revive in 71 hours 14 minutes.”

“This is definitely related to my outbreak of curse in real life. I should discuss this with my grand father.”

Only players. Every one has equal access level to the slate through Asgurd. So be the strongest in Asgurd child. I know you can do it. In the near future Asgurd’s importance wont be any less than that of real life. Got it”

“I understand that grandpa. I’ll make you proud.”

“Your parents should be returning in few weeks. They would be incredibly proud of you.”

“After your penalty is over we’ll test the limits of your hidden skill.”

“Thank you grandpa, Then I’ll be leaving now.”

During this time a legend has spread all across the Asgurd about a wolf god. It said that due to a group of players angering the guardian dainty of a wolf cave when they tried to raid it, the god materialized and butchered them completly in an instance.

There were some people who managed to record the incident and when they looked at those recordings all they could see was that, in one second a large group of players are chatting and laughing and in the next second they had turned into a bloody mist.

Even when the experts tried to check these video's frame by frame, all they could observe was a blur appearing in their midst for a split second. Every one has concluded that this was an attack of an extremely high level NPC.

All those players who participated that day lost a level and dropped from world rankings. Guild token was recovered later by Xia family reinforcement which arrived at the area after the incident.

This incident was recorded in the history of Asgurd as the calamity of red mist where about 60 high level players died without even knowing why.
