Hi guys. So one day me and my friend had a conversation. He agreed to be my new artist to add illustrations on my novel. He then asked me about each of the character profiles. As we talked to each other, I realized something, “I don’t know my characters that much.” After that we’ve brainstorm on the the chara’s design, personality, behavior etc. We improved their backstories on how they became the way they are right now. We even tried creating char sheets for each of them. Then, when I started incorporating it to the novel, I realized that I need to revamp most (or maybe all) of the chapters. Though the concept and main plot is still the same, a lot of scenes needs to be changed/revamped. At first, I thought that it’s ok to upload revamped chapters while I continue with the story but then I realized that it’s better to finalize everything first before I upload them to avoid too much confusion on the scenes specially for readers who’s currently on the later chapters. Because of that I had to go on hiatus and revamp the story.

I would be lying if I said the negative reviews didn’t affect this decision. All 3 reviews are negative (the 1st one removed his review since I fixed the problems he pointed out) and they mostly pointed out the characters being too bland. Even though their reviews are not what I consider as “healthy criticisms”, they’re still criticisms nonetheless. And if that’s what they saw in my story, then maybe the a lot of readers saw that too since the a lot rated the novel low. Because of this I would to ask you guys your opinion on the novel’s style, story, grammar and character. You can make a review or just comment it below. Anything is fine as long as it’s an honest opinion. It would really help me a lot if you could point out everything that I need to improve and retain. You can also suggest to if you want.
