“Nooooooo” Raman screamed with his eyes closed. But as he came into consciousness, he saw that he was surrounded by the young faces who he seemed to know but did not remember their names.

“Yes, Raman” an authoritative voice of the Lecturer suddenly broke the murmurs, “Were you so sleepy in my class that you are getting nightmares because of my lessons?”

Raman was still in dilemma. He could not make a head or tail of the situation in front of him. How could he come to this class when he was clearly dying from a gunshot half an hour ago?

Yes. Raman clearly remembered all the events leading to his death.

He was a police officer who was successful in all the cases assigned to him. He had worked himself to death to solve these cases. That day he was assigned to a serial murder case. After getting the lead on the criminal he and his partner had gone to corner to him, but instead of that they feel on his trap.

As the criminal nabbed his partner and demanded for a safe passage, Raman had rushed forward to rescue him. But who would have known he was shot from behind and died?

As the last breath was slipping away, he had seen his murderer and his whole perspective of life had changed.

As he was standing in daze, he did not notice that the entire class was silently observing him. Even lecturer Rangaraj got confused. Even though there were occasional murmurs nobody had dared to disrupt the class like this.

But Raman had come from his dazed state. He did not believe what had happened to him but seeing the familiar faces he has a hunch that he had traversed.

He turned to professor Rangaraj and asked in a Calm voice,” Is this the Criminal psychology class?”

Professor Rangaraj could not believe the audacity of this kid. First, he was utterly disrespectful to him by sleeping in his class. Now he wanted to ask what he was teaching. Isn’t this pure humiliation?

Suddenly, Raman felt that his hand was being pulled. His Class mates were motioning him to shut up.

“Yes, it is” Professor Rangaraj said calmly.

But the students knew that this was calm before the storm. And the cause of the storm was their own classmate.

“Ok, Can I change the courses now?
