《I want to be Low-key》To the principal’s office

As the period came to an end Lecturer Rangaraj left the class as soon as possible. But he was surprised to see that Raman was following him.
So, he slowed down his pace.
As Raman came near him, the lecturer thought he was coming to apologize and asked, “So, have you come to your senses?”
“No, sir. I need to go to the Principal’s office. I don’t want to study in this course at all. I have to change the course as soon as possible so that my academic year is not wasted?”
Hearing this lecturer Rangaraj understood that this guy was not joking at all. But he could not understand one thing. Why did this person enroll in the course he was not interested in? Why did he work so hard to enter the course?
As he kept pondering over the question Raman had already reached the principal’s office. Seeing that Lecturer Rangaraj decided to stand near the office in case the principal called him.
Raman did not have any anxiety. He directly told the peon that he wanted to see the principal. He was in a hurry he wanted to move out of this college as soon as possible.
As Raman stood there waiting for the call from the principal, he was also having a serious discussion on the phone.
“No, Tiwari you have to understand one thing. If we add one more course to the existing curriculum the students will be leaving the course. You can’t expect them to be good officers with only bookish knowledge, right?”
“I can understand your point, but what the higher authorities are expecting are results”
“Results? Please tell them to go to agricultural land and plant as seed. Will a seed mature at the moment they want? If we want to send a good officer from our college you may need to give us the time we require”, the principal said fuming.

“Ok. I will try to manage from my end. But please understand our position. The crime rates are higher than the previous years. People need someone to monitor them and I don’t think our police officers are doing a good job regarding that. As of now, we are dependent on private detectives. And you know it is harmful right?”
“Don’t think like that Tiwari. At this critical juncture, we need all the hands available in the deck. Please wait for some time. The students we have selected are the best of the best. We will be able to…” before finishing his line he was called by the peon.
“Sir, someone wants to see you urgently.” The peon said.
“Ok, Tiwari we can discuss this later. I have to attend my official duties” then without waiting for a reply from the other side he disconnected the call.
Then he told the peon to let the student inside.

The idea came from my love of hero stories, but the lack of relatable heroes. By that i mean there were no, or few heroes that dealt with weight gain. Something I have and am dealing with after leaving the Marine Corps. So Fat Boy Hero was born. Check out the link below to listen to an episode of The Round Table Podcast where I brainstormed the idea with the hosts and special guest Michael underwood. http://www.roundtablepodcast.com/2013/03/workshop-episode-53-guest-host-michael-r-underwood/ This book is a side project and will be updated as time permits. I hope you do not find this too off-putting.
