《Hunter X Hunter Overgeared》Planing X Family
Advertisement
Another week passed for Caid and he had somewhat understood his situation and was making plans. During the week the man had stayed with him all the time and didn't let him out of his sight, but that didn't matter. He couldn't do anything anyway so he just laid in his crib thinking.
' Seeing what has happened I'm going to assume this is the universe of Hunter X Hunter where there exist special and talented people who could harness their life energy or 'aura' as they called it, and use it to accomplish superhuman and magical stuff.
The time should be before the fight of Netero with Meruem as at that time there was a restriction of the usage of the Miniature Rose, but I don't have any idea how much before. It could be 20 years before Gon leaves Whale Island or it could also be after he left as there was not stated when the ban was made , but that is less likely.
Damnit, what did I have to reincarnate as a baby? Also, where the hell is my damn system?'
*Click*
The sound of the door opening was heard making Caid's heart skip a beat. He imediately closed his eyes and pretend to be asleep.
'That scared the shit out of me. Ah,I think I filled my diaper...
After that he heard footsteps approaching the crib and then stoppe there for a minute , before he felt someone pick him up.
"Seems like you need a new diaper."
It was the sound of the man that had been taking care of him for the last week. Although Caid didn't trust him , he was a pretty good caretaker. He took very good care of him, but sometimes it creeped Caid out as he would be staring at him for like an hour before silently leaving.

"Need to get you cleaned quickly as we are going somewhere ."
' We're going out of the house?'
" I think you will be happy to see your mother again."
His mind went black for a second as he processed what the man said.
' Mom? So she is alive, but why did it take so long for her to request to se me? '
The man then dressed Caid into some nice clothes, but Caid couldn't help but noticing the sad looking expression on his face.
' Don't tell me this is going to be the last time I'll see her before she dies. Her injuries seemed bad, but I didn't think....
" Okay, let's get going. "
' Shit, I hope I'm wrong.'
After that what followed was a quiet, two hour car ride. They left the densely populated city and stopped in front of a big mansion surrounded by nothing but forest for miles. The car stopped by the big gate and the man opened the window on his side before pushing a button on the side of it.
He then just waited.
*Bzzzz*
After 10 seconds the door opened and the man drove in, but he didn't fail to notice the expression of Caid who was in the back.
' The kid is definitely not normal.'
.........
The car moved in slowly towards the mansion , but they still hadn't arrived even after a minute.
' Holy shit balls! The hell is with this huge ass mansion!? '
Caid was completely amazed at everything. Everything seemed so big and luxurious to him that he wondered how many hundreds of lifetimes it would take him to save enough money to buy something like this.
' Why are we entering this mansion when he told me we were going to meet mother. Did he lie to me? No,why would he lie to a child about something like this? It makes no sense for him to do that.

Then does that mean that mom is some kind of billionaire that is trying to be low-key? Come to think of it she spent most of the day with me so she definitely didn't have any full time job.'
As he finished his thoughts the car stopped and imediately several men dressed in black suits formed two straight lines on the driver's door.
'Who are all these people? They don't look like mansion staff.'
Caid was surprised by why would they do something like this, but also by the fact that all of them were burly men and most of them had tattoos on their hands, neck and head.
*Click*
The man got out of the car and imediately all the lined up men bowed deeply.
" GREETINGS YOUNG MASTER!"
The man wasn't fazed at all by the greeting as if he had expected it to happen and just lazily waved his hand at them.
"Yeah, yeah. "
He ignored the still bowing men and took Caid from the backseat and headed towards the mansion door. During all this Caid couldn't help but glance at at the one who was holding him and then the bowing men, wondering who the hell was this Young Master that they greeted.
As the man moved to the door of the mansion with Caid in his hand, all the men that were lined up followed him closely at behind. The stayed at a distance of one meter while constantly checking out the surroundings.
' Now I'm really confused. What the hell is going on? Why the hell am I here and why are all of them following us?'
Although he was confused by what was happening he could clearly see the serious looks on their faces.
*Tap*
"I'm pleased to see you again young master."
'Huh...
As he was distracted by the men following behind he failed to notice that they had arrived at the door. In front of it was a well groomed old man with long grey hair tied on a long ponytail behind him. He looked like he was in his fifties, but had a youthful, clean shaven face, wore a sophisticated butler outfit, and had black eyes, or eye to be exact as his left eye was not seen because he wore a black glass monocle .
"Old man, long time no see."
" Indeed it was young master. I have almost thought that you had completely forgotten about this old man. Alas...
"I'm sorry I.....
"I'm just joking."
The butler raised his hand and stopped the man and just shook his head.
"We will have enough time to talk later. Right now master is waiting for you."
"Right."
"Please, this way young master."

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)

Dispatches from the Inter-galactic
Dispatches From The Inter-Galactic is a series of loosely related satirical stories which take place in a galaxy full of various interstellar civilizations and numerous space faring species generally described as consentients. This series is set in a galaxy which take place in a similar but not entirely unlike the galaxy in which my series Up in Space takes place While there are numerous themes related to interstellar life, several of the stories directly relate to specific themes such as; The pan-galactic ramifications to the use of supersymetrical energy sources (often drained from intera-located alternate and pocket realities.) the use of which by most interstellar civilizations is steadily increasing the overall amount of Dark Matter. This is increasing the mass of the galaxy and results in the occasional rips in inter-dimensional space as well as an overall increase in supernova activity. It is also speeding up the approach of the galaxy in Andromeda, which is of concern to several long lived civilizations; The Morphoids, a race of shape-changing consentients who are capable of using the space lanes created by the use of supersymetrical sourced energy to spread throughout the galaxy. They are currently viewed as threat number one by many space-faring species; and Xeno and exo-sexuality, as many species try to figure out what sort of enjoyment they can have with many of the species they encounter in space (only some of which are carbon-based, or more rarely, humanoid in appearance). This also relates to the altering of species to make reproduction somewhat easier for those with rather complicated lifestyles. A major force in this area of pursuit is the galactic visiteering industry, which promotes the ‘uplifting’ of more primitive planet-bound near-consentients.
