《The Demon Child - Awakening》Chapter 40 - oubəɹɐɔɥʇ

Ren saw me and began to smile, using his demon ability, he flung a large boulder which was part of his destroyed golem. I looked at it and swung my weapon, and in an instant, the rock split in two and missed me.
Ren stuttered for a moment, and I looked at my blade. A smirk came from him, as he noticed my right side was no more for now. During that moment, small rocks began to orbit around Ren, as he waited for my next move.
'So this is the power of an ancestor, oubəɹɐɔɥʇ the blade of the holy vampire.' I thought.
The weapon was superb, sealing all of my abilities and my vampiric regeneration. I was able to slice a boulder in two, using minimal strength when I did. The blade had a silver handle, with red cracks in it. The spade was more massive to the proportion of the handle, and the back was shaped like a crescent moon, like the regular blade, it was more significant than the handle.
Using my left hand, I spun it a few times, before going into a battle crouch. I looked at Ren to see his reaction.
"That's a… That's an ancient weapon of the vampires,"
"Indeed, it is... " I panted. "And it's going… to be the weapon to… kill you,"
"I doubt it."
Summoning oubəɹɐɔɥʇ also taking away most of my blood, so my body was not only weakened but only had a small portion of time left to fight. An ability of oubəɹɐɔɥʇ is that it absorbs any flesh and blood from any of his opponents and transfers it to its user, being me.
Every time I hit Ren now, it will weaken him, and give me strength. The vampire who used it, Etcral, lived to fight for seventy years until his prime ended, so I hoped that his weapon could live up to his name.

'Ren probably knows that if oubəɹɐɔɥʇ touches him, all is over, so I'll have to be quick,'
The only thing that oubəɹɐɔɥʇ didn't seal away was my sources, and I had a plan. Focusing on my body, it became ice-cold, so cold that I couldn't even move, and then it happened. Every vein in my body began to pulse white and black. I looked around to see that everything had slowed down.
I looked at Ren and saw that he threw three boulders at me, one after the other, so I ran at him. I dodged the rocks and moved up to Ren, so fast that he could barely see me coming. I raised oubəɹɐɔɥʇ into the air, and by the time I did, Ren jumped back, although he couldn't escape.
Using the sharp spade, I cut Rens right arm halfway up to his shoulder. I looked at where oubəɹɐɔɥʇ cut and saw something unusual. Rens lost the spade had absorbing limb, the red cracks on the long handle began to pulsate, and I felt it. All my wounds started to close, and even my still bleeding torn off a limb was being covered by skin.
Ren lost balance in mid-air and tumbled to the ground. I was going to finish him off, but something happened. When Ren was in mid-air, he created a massive stalactite from one of the boulders I dodged, but my tail didn't. I looked at Ren struggling with the pain of an arm being ripped off and began to smile.
I stabbed my tail with oubəɹɐɔɥʇ, which began to absorb it. My body then felt even stronger than before, but my tail wouldn't regenerate, for now at least.
'I usually don't fight with my tail, so I'm still at an advantage.' I thought.
Ren was still screaming before he realized that I got out of his trap, so he quickly covered his bleeding limb with some rocks. He tightened his remaining hand and put it on the ground.

"Well done Dyne, you made me struggle this much, I'm not sure what you did to dash that quickly, but it'll mean nothing!" Ren yelled at me.
Suddenly, the ground around me began to crack. Lance and Sashal were still on the battlefield, which worried me. I looked to my right and saw that Lance was picking up Sashal's body before seeing me.
He looked at oubəɹɐɔɥʇ before looking at my face. I nodded at him, indicating that I'll be fine, seeing that, Lance nodded back, and picked up his pace with Sashal's body in his grasp. I looked back and saw that the earth Ren was controlling, began to form into something.
The trees to my right began to crumble from the earth, and turn into a massive arm. The enormous building on my left also began to mould itself into an arm. I looked back to where Ren was and saw that he enveloped himself into a body of the earth. On top of that mound, there was what seemed to be a face of the ice golem I once fought, but it was made out of the earth and was ten times as large.
The face then looked at me, and in its two rock eyeholes, began to glow purple. The golems mouth began to move, and it began to say something in Ren's voice.
"A complete sacrifice, that's how far you pushed me so that I can kill you!" Every word Ren's massive golem spoke, shook the ground. "This is no golem I control; it is a colossus I command! Fear me Antrite, as I am Ren Weave!"
'I've heard that last name before, but where?'
"Die Dyestral!"
The earth colossus tried to swing its right fist at me, but it failed. Due to its size, Ren needed a lot of power which he didn't have at that moment, so the movement was slow and easy to dodge. I jumped onto the right arm of the titan and began to run towards the chest of it.
Ren sensed what I was doing, so he stopped the arm and began to erupt tentacles of earth, all of which were trying to kill me. I was quickly able to dodge them by freezing myself and made my veins black and white again, before dodging the tentacles and was now at the chest of the beast.
I swung oubəɹɐɔɥʇ and cut the chest in half. I did it again and again, making sure that the chest wouldn't fuse again. I saw Ren in the rubble, and I jumped through the air and grabbed him with my back chains. I looked towards the part of the titan with the building engraved in it and threw Ren into the classroom.
The rest of the titan stopped moving, and I entered the building by the smashed window. I saw that Ren collided with a desk and was impaled into it. I landed next to him and laid oubəɹɐɔɥʇ down to the right of me. Ren began to laugh and looked down to the ground.
"It's my loss. You won Dyne."

The Fate of The Summoned (being ReWritten)
The Fate of The Summoned In the world of Aethion things are vastly different than on Earth. There is Magic and Monsters, as well as Demons and Dragons. Throughout the history of the world there have been many wars, both between all the various nations and kingdoms and between those nations and kingdoms and the Demonic forces lead by a Demon King or Lord. There are times that the Demons gain so much more power than the other nations, or that the others are embroiled in a war against each other and the lone nation is targeted by the demons. It was during these occasions that the various Gods and Goddesses started giving two things to the races. The First of these things were the Blessings, magical blessings given to the worth for chosen things. The Second of these things were the Summoning rituals, magic rituals that could summon beings from somewhere else, that would be Chosen, by the gods. These beings have almost always come from our world, Earth. It has been centuries since this practice began and the countries of the world have almost always flourished for a time after a Chosen or group of them were Summoned. All of the countries treat the Summoned well, almost like kings or princes in their own right. Well, not all countries, there are some that have treated them almost like slaves, though those countries don’t usually last long. There is one though, that has lasted, for a long time due to their connection to their Patron Deity, the Goddess of Light. They only accept certain types of Summoned and they dote on certain members of the country more than others. Several years ago they performed a summoning, as they were being plagued by overflow from the dungeons. Now they, like the other countries of Aethion, have performed the ritual to fight against the current Demon King, who is said to possess a Blessing. This is a story about Fate, and those that fight against it and those who accept it. In this story the main character(s) do not fight their fate, like those in my other story, rather they embrace it and let it shape them, though that does not mean they are total slaves to it. While there will be similarities to most other Hero sumoning novels, i hope the Mcs abilities and such will make it unique.
