《The Demon Child - Awakening》Chapter 64 - Sealed

Glasses clinked, Sahsal and I were holding wine glasses, swirling around the red liquid of blood wine. At a vampiric wedding, only blood wine could be drunken; it was marvellous. The moon is full of light, and a woman by my side, it couldn’t have been better.
Many other vampires which I did not know showed up, many congratulating me about my strength at such a young age, Sashal also received praise as well, but it didn’t bother me. Quinn was the only demon I knew at the party, that was not a vampire.
Of course, he wanted to help a friend, since royalty allowed this party to be, but I was glad that he didn’t do it out of pity he was enjoying it. It was a happy time, but it was over too fast. One thing that I did not know was how they worked.
The final part of the night was when Sahsal unveiled her blood wings and went into the clouds, I followed soon after. We went into the shadows, where they would’ve turned red, if the ancient blood, the ancestors of vampires allowed it, during that time, we would dance in the sky.
As we began the first act, we both saw the clouds turn to blood, and as the final act happened, they turned to the colour of the red rose. I looked towards Sashal in the sky and saw that her body had become red, becoming a liquid, her demon ability for some reason had gone out of control.
I couldn’t grab her as she was a liquid, and I began to feel weak as well. Before I fell uncontrollably, I froze Sashal and skydived her into the place where the wedding was held. A red crystal hit the floor, shattering into pieces, quickly forming again as an unconscious Sashal.

Before I blacked out myself, I noticed that everyone else had fallen asleep, and it wasn’t us vampires. I missed where the wedding was held and collided with a building next to me. I sluggishly looked around to see that even the people in the streets were sleeping.
I collided with the floor and woke up in a bed, cold sweat covering my body. I looked towards my right hand, to see a naked Sashal caressing my right arm. Sashal then woke up in a cold sweat, looking at me, before she had realized what she was doing.
Quickly sitting up herself, she looked around, wondering where we were. She then finally saw me and asked me a question.
“D-did I do well?” Her face was as red as the clouds from last night. I wasn’t’ t sure why she was embarrassed, as it wasn’t’ t our first time doing it, the first and last time was under the blood moon.
“Unless someone made us, no, it wiped out the entire capital into a slumber,”
“What do you mean?” Her face became confused and much less flustered.
“Everyone was asleep; I was the last ones to go out, you, on the other hand, lost control of your soul ability, I froze you and dropped you onto the venue, there you returned to normal,”
“You?” She asked.
“Into the streets, in fact,” It rummaged through my arm, feeling a bump in my skin. Carefully, I cut through the skin with my nails and extracted the lump; it was a piece of gravel. My body had healed over the part of gravel, and I would have felt uncomfortable throughout the night. It took Sashal a moment to realize what it was before we kept talking.
“Who would do such a thing?”

“Knowing what has happened, it has something to do with Azur and his group?”
“Who?”
“That demon we met, the one with blue flames, and my brother,”
“I have questions, but what does he have to do with this?”
“Because,” I got out of the bead and stretched “He was working with Gener, my first mission, he’s been messing with my life ever since I became a demon so that he might be part was responsible for the sleeping last night,”
“I believe you Dyestral, but isn’t it a bit of a stretch,”
“Most likely, and I’m sorry, has Jododam filled you in?”
“That duel...”
“Yes,” I come back for a final kiss, looking at her, before putting on my clothes and leaving. She said goodbye, and I closed the door.
Turning around, I saw Quinn was waiting for me outside for what I suspected to be some sort of royal chambers. I noticed that something was engraved at the top of the door.
“‘bnEsʇ’, so it’s a guest room for vampires?”
“Indeed, now, allow me to show you my home.” It was quite, Quinn leading me deeper into the castle, he knew I wasn’t idiotic, and I knew something was amidst.
“Don’t lie to me, everyone knows about the duel, and you are taking me there, to... train in a? sense,” I told Quinn.
“As sharp as always Dyestral, so now, look down.”
I hesitantly looked down to see there was a portal, and what seemed to be a pool of red liquid. I didn’t care, and I fell in, slowly losing consciousness. The final moments were of Jododam talking to some people in white coats, I was able to lip-read ‘may the training begin’.
I just huddled myself into a ball and assumed my fate. I wouldn’t’ t spend time with my new wife, but I will be saving her kind, all of our nature, the type of artificial bodies.

Digital Immigrant
This is the story of how James Allen Quick and Sarah Lynn Abernathy died. By 'died', I mean that their hearts stopped, their brains ceased sending electrical impulses, and all other physical functions terminated. Immediately after which, their bodies were placed into an industrial furnace, reduced to ash, and the ash was spread about in one of the last forest reserves in North America. As ash-spreading locations go, this ranked third. First and second places were, of course, a person’s favorite athletic team’s playing field and the sea. Or rather, I should say that this is how the story begins. You see, it’s what came after that is so interesting.
