《The Demon Child - Awakening》Chapter 65 - Release

“Nth!”
I’m not sure how long it was, but I had finally woken up, it felt like a second since Quinn made me jump into that red liquid, which I think I still am in, but most likely it’s been a few weeks. Slowly, I regained the feeling in my body. I tried to take a deep breath, but instead, the red liquid filled my lungs, I didn’t struggle, and I didn’t even feel like drowning. It felt natural towards me, and I looked ahead, to see some figures talking.
“He’s awake, start it!” A voice I remembered as Wilhelm was barking orders before I felt something.
I felt a small force, of the liquid I was in being pulled away, I didn’t struggle, for what I guessed minutes, it drifted away from me before I felt something press down on me. It was on my back and felt cold and like jelly.
Slowly that feeling covered my entire body, and I could see the room I was in with a blurred vision. Before long, I felt something releasing some sort of substance and the seal I was in began to fill again.
It didn’t refill the seal; instead, it felt as though It stuck to my body, covering it. I tried to move finally, but it didn’t work, I could only flinch. Someone probably saw what I was trying to do, and I felt a shock. It ran throughout my body, and I could feel my body could fight again.
I then used my hands and tore away the airtight seal around me, dropping to the floor, face first. I picked myself up, before vomiting the red liquid in my lungs and looking up. Jododam and Wilhelm were looking down on me.
Behind them, I saw people in white suits, their faces covered running about like maniacs and looking back at the two who were in front of me. I slowly got up, as I was failing to balance, but I then finally stood up. I tried to swing my tail, and I did, I’m not sure why, but I felt as though it was a natural reaction.

“Glad to see your feeling better,” Jododam spoke.
“How long was I in there, a month?” I coughed.
“Four weeks, so twenty-eight days,” Wilhelm answered “We made it so your body would be in pristine condition, you are even more powerful now, although only for the fight, as you’ll probably need to use all of it,”
“Just… Just tell me when I have to be out there, please,”
“Of course, an hour,”
“So I have time to prepare, Jododam do you have any sort of blood?” I said sluggishly.
“I do,” He replied, slowly taking out a large vial with a red liquid in it “Right here.”
I snatched it away from Jododam, opening it up and gulping down the liquid, filling up my stomach. I threw the vial, overwhelmed with anger that had come apart, although I still would not attack Jododam, he is the one I feared the most, or was. After meeting Azure and that black being, life was confusing, but now it isn’t, as I know what’s happening again.
I began to look at my body, to see I was fitted in a skin-tight red skin, unlike my own. Looking ever closer, I began to notice that my markings began to show through the red clothing, taking the colour of a muddy yellow, instead of the usual black. Looking back at Jododam, I decided to ask him more questions.
“What was that liquid I was in, what is on my skin,” I then realized something else “And where are my wings!”
“Question one, that liquid was a remedy of the head of the three head vampire houses, the second is a flexible material made out of your blood, allowing you to move through solid objects without damaging your clothes, so you’re not naked at the end of the battle…”

“Where are my wings?” I reminded Jododam, seeing that he had paused mid-sentence.
“Just picture them for a moment.”
I did, I imagined the wings that were on me, before feeling them. Looking behind me, I saw that they had appeared, before looking back at Jododam for an explanation.
“Sashal could do it, yes, her demon ability does it, allowing it to create them out of blood, but all vampires can train themselves to tuck their wings into their bodies, it was just your time.”
“Second time I’ve done it since they disappeared during my sleep,” I tucked my wings back into my body, the sounds of bones compressing as it was happening. Focusing, I could feel my compressed wings around my shoulder blades, reaching my shoulders.
“Jododam, we need to go now, let the guards guide Dyestral to his side of the colosseum, we need to be at the left side of the king!” Wilhelm warned him.
“Very well,” Jododam turned around, putting his hands behind his back, taking twenty steps before looking behind him and continuing. “Oh, and Dysetral,”
“Yes?” I replied.
“Don’t fuck it up, kill Feuer, and make sure to toy with him when you can,”
“I hope to please you.” I bowed, before looking around.
Everyone had already evacuated, probably when I threw the glass. After a few seconds, two guards appeared in the middle of the room. They had no armour, instead, wearing dark cloth, only their eyes not covered, but instead wearing black face paint.
“Dyestral Blutrot, may you follow us,” One of them whispered, and I surprisingly could hear it.
“Lead the way,”
“Gladly.” The other guard replied.
The two guards looked away, and I began to follow them, walking. It was time to decide a significant part of my life, if I would live, or perish.

Naruto Retsuden: Toru
[SI/OC Third Shinobi War]Well fought and well done. All of us fight as one. It took me three years to be able to properly read the faded out kanji of the flimsy poster that I keep in my back pocket. The illustration is colourful, bright reds and yellows. Colours that would definitely catch the attention of a child. The poster was carefully placed along the walls and fences of my village, level with the height of a four year old. I thought enlisting to become a Shinobi was a heroic deed, something I needed to do to save my family from poverty and to serve my country at the cusp of war. Then I graduated early to be deployed to the front lines.I am sadly and sorely mistaken. Warnings:Slow-burnNO OP-NESSRomance? What romance?
