《The Demon Child - Awakening》Chapter 88 - Cyclone

I followed Zykl farther away from the city, going into the wilderness, and soon a massive lake. Around it was decorated with large crags around the area, with the water flowing through the low laying crag range.
Looking down at the massive lake, and noticed that the water was completely still. It was midday by this point, so the sun directly reflected onto the water. I saw Zykl land onto the water, standing on top of it, only two ripples appeared one for each foot.
Before I faced Zykl, I removed my clothes, knowing that they would be tarnished if they were worn into battle. After stripping down to my undergarments, I also landed onto the water, and made a thin layer of ice, making me float, keeping my balance. I summoned the chain on my stump and ready to fight.
“Why are you almost naked?” Zykl asked.
“My soul ability works better without any clothes on, as well as my incarnate weapon. Also, may we fight away from that cliff?” I pointed to my left.
Zykl nodded “We will begin moving to the right, away from Enen as well,”
“Agreed,”
“So? Shall we?”
“I wouldn't have it any other way.”
I was planning to finish it in one attack, I readied myself, and dashed at Zykl, directly to where he was. I swiped through him, but all I could see was an afterimage. I stopped and a wave of water appeared behind me, causing it to rain a little.
Looking behind me, I saw Zykl in the exact same position, also looking at me. The two of us smiled and off we went. I was followed by lightning, whilst he was followed by a strong current of wind.
Clashing, chain against fist, even though lightning was faster than wind, Zykl still kept up. I tried to wrap my chains around him multiple times, but he just kept disappearing. Behind me he appeared and created a tornado out of thin air, as it blasted into me.

I was propelled deep into the water, causing a massive amount of water to become a part of the air. Using that, I jumped out and all the water gathered and froze into dozens of icicles. I aimed them at Zykl and he smiled.
The icicles followed him all across the sky, until they broke them all. When he broke my final projectile, I grabbed a hold of his foot using a chain, and created a glacier from the pond. At maximum speed, I slammed Zykl against the ice so hard that it shattered.
When he was still wondering what had just happened, I grabbed him by the neck and pushed him under the water, freezing the surface of it so he wouldn’t escape. Looking to the tallest cliff, I headed there at full speed, slamming Zykl into it and began to climb it.
It was quite tall, and I was zigzagging to many small crags as I did, breaking them with his head. I was halfway up when Zykl finally counterattacked, grabbing my throat, which did nothing. It was only then when he spoke that I felt something.
“Time to show you my elemental ability,”
The breath of air I once had disappeared, my entire body began to slow down. My vision began to haze, I lost strength, whatever Zykl was doing, he was changing the air I breathed. It got so worse that I disappeared from his plane and appeared in the soul world.
I jumped back and reappeared, angrier than ever, a large amount of lightning began to crack in my arm. I bit my tongue, using my own variant of his elemental ability, my demon ability agains’t Zykl.
“ʎOn¡ qlEss ı ɥOnsəs' ʌAɯdıɹıɔ ʇɥɹEə ʇɥE Oɟ uAɯə ʇɥE ıU AɥəAp˙ ʇıɯE sɥOɹʇ ʇɥIs ɟOɹ lIbɥʇUıub Oɟ dOʍəɹ Oʍu ʎOnɹ ʍIʇɥ ɯE qlEss ʇO sAɔɹıɟıɔə A As sdEɐʞ' ɯE ɯAʞəs ʍɥAʇ ɟɹOɯ ɔAɹʌəp qlOop ʇɥE oɟɟEɹ ı ʎEɐɹs˙ ʇɥOnsɐUp ʇEu Oʌəɹ ıu ɥEɹə ʌEuʇnɹEp ɥAsu,ʇ ʍɥO pEɯou A Oɟ qlOop ʇɥE Oɟɟəɹ I Oʇɥəɹ' uO lIbɥʇuıUb-lıʞE ʍıʇɥ qlEssəp AuɔEsʇoɹs ʇɥOsə oɥ!!”

The lightning changed to a blood red, and I released it in a single shot. Zykl noticed at the last moment and bolted away. I couldn’t stop it, and the lightning bolt struck the cliffside multiple times, causing a massive sound and dust cloud to erupt from the place it struck.
I was propelled backwards and saw Zykl, diving down and stopping his path. We both looked at each other wanting to go on still. I saw the air around Zykl begin to change, as I responded with lightning coursing through my body, being cooled off with ice.
The two of us dashed at each other, and were about to hit, except someone else grabbed onto our attacks and negated them. I closed my eyes due to the sudden stop creating a massive updraft, and when I opened my eyes, I a ssaw Alicia in front of me.
“I allow you to leave my line of sight in this world and you immediately try and kill someone,” Alicia glared at me.
“It was a mock battle, if I wanted to kill Zykl, I would’ve,”
“You call what you did to that cliff a mock battle?” A massive hole was now present inside the rocky base.
“Yes,”
I was hard in the stomach, skipping on the water and landing on a massive sheet of ice I created behind me. My body rejoined and healed some bones and I flew away to get my clothes, with Alicia talking to his great-grandson.
I floated down and asked Alicia what was happening. It seemed that Zykl would also travel with us, I had nothing to say no to, and we were off. Zykl retired as one of the nine elements of Enen and flew with us into the sunset, with a direction in mind, and a hope that I would get stronger.

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it. The Legion of Nothing first debuted on my website legionofnothing.com in 2007. In that period it's updated more than 900 times, is still running, and has had millions of pageviews. Author's note: Things to expect: - Adventure, magic, and myth? Sure - Action and a bit of dry humor? Why not~ - OP MC & VILLAINS. - Mind the tags. It's a litrpg and slow-paced. - Oh! MC is a bit suicidal! Things not to expect: - Romance. I've no intention of adding romance in the foreseeable future. - Good grammar (Fair warning: I'm not native and might have some issues with the language. I hope you guys will be helpful and kind to point out the wrongs.) Greetings! 'The Direwolf Sorcerer' is my first work, so be supportive and kind by pointing out my flaws. Thanks! ( This went by the name 'I died & reincarnated as wolf in fantasy world' almost a year ago in RR. Due to personal reasons, I dropped it only after 4 chapters. Now I'm writing it again, just with a new title.) *UPDATES EVERY SATURDAY I've plans for the cover art, but that's for later.
