We where on our way to the laboratory of genetics (L.O.G) for a school field trip to learn about the science of genetics ([Author: Genetics.]). This lab focuses on altering the genetical structure of living things.

"This is going to be awesome".(Kiriko)

" yeah we get to see how they alter animal DNA, FIRST HAND!!" (Yuri)

My friend Kiriko and Yuri were quite excited about this field trip. Who couldn't be we have been excited about for months, in fact our entire class has been too. What can I say......were nerds.

Some bus time later we arrived at L.O.G. The laboratory was a big white building with blue highlights and has the shape of ocean waves.

"Okay class lineup so we can get in" (Sensei)

""" yess~~""" (students)

We lined up as Sensei says and got into the building, from what we heard the real science lad is under ground, in there big lab room.

"In the elevator everyone ~". (Sensei)

The elevator was big enough to have a truck fit in and the length of the school bus. It is this big, so the could take there experiment up and down without problem.

The elevator went down with us, and after a while stop at our destination. Waiting for us there was the head scientist Doc. Akiro.

"Welcome to the lab students, before we continue please do not touch any of the experiments or buttons got it?" (Doc. Akiro)

"Then let get on with the tour." (Doc. Akiro)

Head scientist, Mrs. Akiro, lead us through the lab and explain what genetics is.....

"Genetics is the study of gene, heredity, and gene variation in organisms. It is mostly considered as a field of biology, but it also intersect with many other life science, mostly with the study of information systems........" (Doc. Akiro)

We learned a lot about genetics and had fun looking and messing around with the example experiment, when all of a sudden the emergency Alarm rang.

"Emergency....emergency project 14 in sector D has failed, an unknown creature has been detected please evacuate immediately..." (Alarm)

Security officials were going to the site of the event, while we were evacuating.

"This way and don't pa......." (Doc. Akiro)

Before the head scientist could finish her sentence a loud bang was heard, then a huge hole appeared and a weird looking creature that looks like a cross between a crocodile, a squid, and a scorpion came out of it.

" sreeeeeeeeeeeeeeech"

The creature started to destroy everything the lab equipment the tanks everything and all. The debris were flying every were, then it finally noticed us and charged strait at us.

"Screeeeeeeeeeech......arrrhrhrhrhr"( weird creature)

We ran away, but it used it tentacle to collapse the ceiling......we were trapped and the only exit was the one it created which was behind it......... we were all going to die.....

"""Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!""" (classmates')

People were screaming and try to move the debris.

"I had to do some thing", I thought," but what". That's when I say it there was a broken pole next to me, I grabbed it and mustered all the courage I could and ran up to it.

"""Akiba!!! Don't"""(Kiriko & yuri & sensei)

The creature tried to grab me with it tentacles but a stabbed it with the broken pole and it screamed, while it was in pain I stabbed in where the hearth should be.

"Screeeeeeeee....eeeee.....eeech........" (weird creatures)

The creature died...I think. I looked at everyone and they had a face of disbelief.

"Are you guys going to stand there or are we going." (Akiba)

The stamped out of it and started to go to the hole in the wall . One of my classmates passing by kicked the creature and it moved, so I stabbed it again.

We went through the hole and started to go to the elevator when the alarm rang again.

"Emergency...emergency ... multiple projects have gone wrong 100 unknown creatures have been detected.....emergency..emergency 200 unknown creature have been detected and are rapidly increasing....please evacuate the facility before lockdown in 20 minutes....."

" 2....200!! What happened in there!" (Doc. Akiro)

" we have to hurry and get out of here!" (Akiba)

Six minutes passed before we found the emergency elevator. The students and scientist got in, but I stayed the door closed and they noticed too late.

" Akiba!! What are you doing! Someone open the elevator!" (Yuri)

"No don't! Think about if they are able to break through the ceiling like it was nothing they could easily escape. Go and get out of here I'll stay and help." (Akiba)

I left before they could say anything, I could still hear them calling my name.

I ran as fast as I could through the lab I have killed 15 of those creature already. Right now I am heading to the control room now.

An other creature popped out of the corner of the corridor I threw the broken pole I got and it stabbed its shoulder then used the chain saw I found a while ago and killed it.

I know right, who keeps a chain saw in a lab.

I found the control room and looked at the cameras everyone has already escaped there was only me and them, but the creature were braking through the wall and heading for the surface. 'I have to do something' I thought......there's only one thing to do.............blow the place up.

I went to the large reactor and pieced it apart then I found the core but those stupid creatures had to come in; before they could reach me I raised the chain saw...

"Mom, dad, Kiriko, yuri, everyone I am sorry......."(Akiba)

"But dieing for you guys is not that bad...." (Akiba)

I brought down the chain saw on the core without a second thought...

"BOOOOOOOOMMM"

~~~~~ yuri's POV~~~~

We left the lab building and ran far away from it.

Akiba is still in there. What is she doing? It's been 2 hours. We've been sitting on the ground far away from the lad for a long time and still no Akiba.

"Kiriko...what will happen to Akiba will she....die." (Yuri)

" I don't know Yuri, but since it's Akiba she'll do anything to help."(Akiba)

That's when a military helicopter flew by and landed by us and a guy in a military suit came out and ask us the situation.

"What the situation right now? And is everyone one here?" (Military personnel)

" well everyone has evacuated except for a young girl...." (Doc. Akiro)

Akiro-San stop and looked at us asking for the name.

" it's Akiba....Teruhashi Akiba....please save her....." (Yuri)

" right we will be sure to...." (military personnel)

Before he could finish his sentence one of the creature broke through the ground by the science lab and screamed.

"Everyone go an......"(military p.)

Before he could finish his sentence to get out of here the lab exploded and its debris flew everywhere.

""A-Akiba......""(yuri & Kiriko)

" did...she just destroy the reactor?" (Doc. Akiro)

All of our class started to cry....me too....she risked her life to prevent a catastrophe. I took out my phone to look at the picture of her and me. That's when I saw the message sent by her 36 mins ago.

"Kiriko...there a massage from Akiba." (Kiriko)

Kiriko looked up at me " what? where!", She came over to me as I open the massage, by this time everyone was staring at us as I read it out loud....

"Sorry yuri,I won't be able to attend your birthday this weekend, you too Kiriko I can't help you rehearse your song for your class.....I decided to blow the place because those things are going to the surface....tell everyone I love them. Oh and as for your present yuri remember the time capsule we made with Kiriko when we where little I put it in there last night...I would have liked to dig it up with you but you know.... pursuit your dreams you two (: he he byeeeee......"

"So...she did blow the reactor.....smart girl. We will remember her." (Military p.)

Kiriko and me cried the entire way back. Akiba you can be happy in the worst situations.
