*Interlude*

"And if I refuse~?"

Kiroi tilts her head a little to left.

Aoi didn't answer.

She simply glares at her, mincing no words.

She will let their action do the talk, not their words.

Suddenly, far away behind Aoi, a tiny spark of light emerges within the darkness of the night.

Less than a second later, loud gunshot noises roar within the darkness.

Aoi tilts her head to the right and avoids the bullet coming from behind her head.

The giant spider acts quickly and gets in the way between Kiroi and the bullet.

It shields her using its carapace and deflects the bullet.

The bullet bounced and hit a tree, then bounced off from it and hit another object.

Through this cycle of bouncing, the bullet finds its way into a fire alarm and triggers it.

The alarm echoes throughout the amusement park and quickly gains everyone's attention.

"What is it?" "An alarm?"

Panic and confusion begin to ensue among the visitors in the amusement park.

"Hey! they say a fire has broken out! run for your life!"

A random man shouts and alerts everyone before running away.

"Eh? fire!?" "Run!!"

One by one, the visitors leave the amusement park, running in panic and fear.

"...I see, so that's your plan."

Kiroi smirks.

"That shoot just now isn't only meant to kill me, but also to shoo the visitors away..." "I expect no less from you Grimson- or rather.."

Kiroi raises her head and looks far behind Aoi.

Far behind Aoi, stood a tall Ferris wheel.

The pink eyes girl stands on top of one of the Ferris wheels with a sniper rifle in her hand.

She dressed in an unzipped black latex suit with heels, which reveals a good portion of her well-rounded and impressive size breasts and abdomen.

"Skadi."

The other Aoi, the red-eyes girl suddenly makes her move, unsheathing the two swords strapped on her waist and dash at Kiroi.

She crosses the swords together as she moves toward Kiroi and the giant spider stood in the way yet again.

The red eyes girl slashes at the spider but it deflected her swords with its legs.

It then shoots a web at her from its mouth.

The red eyes girl roll to the side to avoid the web and quickly charge at the spider.

"This is the end!!"

She raises her swords and slashes downward to cut the spider's head, only for her swords to hit its head and break upon impact.

"Tch..!"

The red eyes girl clicks her tongue.

The spider opens its jaws to bite her.

Skadi does a cover fire and hits the spider in one of its eyes.

It didn't work as it should be as the bullet bounced off from it and it suffers no real injury, but the brief pause was more than enough time for the red eyes girl to escape to safety, next to Aoi.

"As we were informed, the conventional weapon does not work on that thing."

Aoi concludes her observation.

"Yeah."

The red eyes girl toss her broken swords away and slowly getting back up.

"Oh my, I am have being studied didn't I?" "It's embarrassing to know that other is peeking into my profile like that~"

Kiroi wraps her arms around herself and wiggles.

"And so I am going to take my leave now before the embarrassment becoming too much for me to handle~" "Bye-bye, Chidori, Aoi."

Kiroi smiles and waves them goodbye.

A giant dragonfly suddenly swoops on, lets Kiroi hang on to one of its legs, and flies away with her.

"So rude, no goodbyes for me~?"

Skadi has Kiroi in line of the shoot and opens fire to kill her.

The dragonfly however makes a sudden move in a swift motion and saves Kiroi from the shoot.

"I miss..!?"

Skadi shouts in surprise.

Aoi notices the problem and slowly raise her left hand.

Electricity slowly surges on her left hand, creating sparks of electricity around her left hand.

The surge of electricity on her left hand creates a chipping bird noises.

The thunder in the sky then merge together and form an azure dragon with red pupils, glaring down upon Kiroi.

"What..!?"

Kiroi raises her head and gazes upon the azure dragon.

"Disappear within the sounds of roaring thunder.."

Aoi swings her left arm down and the azure dragon strike at Kiroi at a speed faster than a person can blink.

The azure dragon strike runs all the way down to the ground and shocks every electronic within the amusement park area.

The streetlights and all forms of lightning went off, leaving only the moonlight as a source of light.

The residual electrical current soon dissipates and so does the end of Aoi attack.

"...That's the end of her." "All that left is this one..."

Chidori looks away and look at the giant spider.

"No, not exactly..."

Aoi disagrees.

Chidori finds Aoi words to be weird and looks back to the sky.

"What..!?"

The dragonfly and Kiroi have somehow escape Aoi attack unharmed and continue flying away.

"...She had us.. I didn't think that she would escape even that..."

Aoi looks away, seemingly no longer interested.

There's nothing left they can do now to stop Kiroi, she has gone too far and disappeared from sight.

Chidori calmly accepts the fact and looks at the spider.

The spider silently gazes at them, watching every single tiny move they make, waiting for a good opportunity to make a move.

It instinctively knows that it can't recklessly approach them, especially Aoi after she displays what's she capable of.

"..For something close to a mindless being, that thing certainly has some brains, it didn't carelessly approach and attack us." "Black Widow certainly gets her hands on something good."

Skadi drops from the sky and joins Aoi side, standing right next to her.

"But in the end, it is but a single entity, nothing more nothing less."

Aoi slowly raises her wooden sword.

"Why don't we show it.. what's the reason that we were dreaded not only in the underworld but all across the globe...?"

Aoi points her wooden sword at the spider.

"Armaments!"

Chidori punches the air next to her, a pair of magic circles appear at the tip of her fists.

The magic on her left arm is red in color while the right one is gold in color.

The magic circle then moves and slides into her arms, manifesting as a pair of gauntlets.

The left gauntlet took the shape of a red dragon head with horns on the side of its face.

The right gauntlet took the shape of a wolf head covered in metallic gold.

At the same time, the dark clouds fill the sky, preventing the moonlight to illuminate the surface.

In that very instance, Aoi, Chidori, and Skadi eyes glow within the darkness.

Each in the color of Dark Blue, Red, and Pink respectively.

"Formation S32."

Aoi command.

"Understood."

Skadi and Chidori replied.

Chidori position herself at the front, Aoi remain where she's, and Skadi positions herself behind the two.

Chidori and Aoi take a dash at the giant spider.

The giant spider steel and readied itself for the two.

The dark cloud soon clears and the moonlight return to illuminate the surface once again.

Just when it thought they were coming, Aoi and Chidori suddenly halt their steps and move sideways.

Chidori runs to the left and Aoi runs to the right.

The spider look left and right in confusion, only to eat a bullet to the face.

Unlike the previous shoots, the bullet pierces its hard skin and injured it.

Green blood from the spider splattered all over the ground along with pieces of its foul smell flesh.

The spider screeched in pain and take few steps back.

Skadi fires her rifle over and over with a white magic circle at the tip of her rifle.

"Formation B12!"

Aoi command.

"Understood!"

Skadi and Chidori replied.

Chidori thrust her left arm and open the mouth of the red dragon, a black turret emerge from inside its mouth.

Electrical charges gather at the tip of the turret in the form of a sphere before Chidori fires them at the spider.

After traveling in the air for few seconds, the spheres disperse into many, smaller shots resembling pellets and hit the spiders.

The shoot did nothing to the spider.

Aoi gets close to the spider and cuts its right rear leg with her wooden blade.

Green blood from the spider splattered all over the ground along with pieces of its foul smell flesh.

The spider screeches and it went into a feral state.

It trashes around without control, in response, Aoi and Chidori backed off and kept their distance away from it.

But the spider shoots its strings and successfully catches Aoi left leg with it.

Aoi was taken by surprise and she fell to the ground.

The spider quickly reels her in, not giving her chances to recover.

Skadi aims at the spider and fires at the spider, but the spider evades the shoot and continues to reel Aoi in.

Chidori act and the wolf gauntlet open its mouth, a golden sword emerge from within.

She cut the string with the golden sword and point the turret from the dragon's head at the spider.

Electric current flashes from inside the turret before being released as a blast.

The blast engulfs the spider and fries it alive.

The spider screeches in pain and rushed in while being fried alive.

"What!?"

Chidori shouts in surprise.

The spider tackles her and knocks her away.

"Ugh!"

Chidori fell to the ground and the spider rushes into Aoi.

Skadi fires her rifle again and again but the spider crawls so fast that she was unable to keep up.

It drastically closes the gap between it and Aoi.

Aoi saw the spider coming, but she neither didn't panic nor guard herself.

She simply stands up and pats the dust on her cape and pants.

When she's done, she raises her head and the spider thrust one of its sharp legs on her face, only for it to suddenly came to a halt right in front of her eyes.

The spider gives it all to move, but no matter how hard it tries, it just can't.

Every single part of its body has been paralyzed.

Chidori and Skadi slowly walk closer to the spider and surround it from both sides.

"Oh look~ a spider that can't move, such irony~"

Skadi giggles.

"The effect still takes a little too long to work, there's still a lot of improvement to be made."

Chidori retracts the turret and sword back inside her gauntlets.

"It's fine, I am sure the data will be valuable for Rosse no matter how small it is."

Aoi slashes at the spider and then walks away from it.

Nothing happened to the spider, Skadi and Chidori follow Aoi on her way to see Aito remains.

After they left, the spider's head fell from its body and hit the ground, its body collapsed soon after.

Aoi gazes upon the man she once known as Yuiga Aito, he's no more.

"What are we going to do with his remains?"

Chidori asks Aoi.

"We bring it home for study, perhaps if we study his remains, we might find something about the Greist."

Aoi calmly answer.

"Hmm~ not because he was once your "friend"~?"

Skadi teasingly asks.

"I told you, which dreamland did you pick up that word from?" "Such words simply didn't exist in my dictionary."

The long night is over and with it rose the sun from the east, marking a new day along with a new story to unfold.
