《The Wanderer's Beginnings (Book 1: A Dark Tale.).》Waking Up.

I was floating, I felt empty, I was void my entire mind a mess, I could feel whatever little connection that remained of who I was quietly slipping away, slowly leaving me and turning me into nothing, all around me i saw contradiction, I saw roaring flames embrace calmly raging waters in a lovers kiss, I saw a slight breeze lift a mountain into the sky.
I saw existence.
But none of it mattered, because the pull on me was growing stronger and I was slipping away become nothing even as the things around me pulsed with energy
And then it stopped.
As soon as the pull stopped, I could feel myself growing stronger and becoming more of me with each breath, but even as I became stronger I was losing whatever it was that allowed me to come here but not enough of my mind had recovered to view anything with any sort of coherence
And ever so slowly, I woke up.

Von the Butcher, Vjoirshold
3rd Person POV
Von the Butcher was by all accounts an unpleasant man, He'd moved to Vjoirshold little over a year ago, from where?, he had never bothered to tell anyone, and in a record time of Three days had succeeded in antagonizing every villager in the little hamlet, even Mellow Melly the towns resident dose of too much kindness disliked him with such burning fervor that one would wonder what she would have done were she not so kind.
Yet the hate of all his neighbours did nothing to upset Von, not causing so much as a twitch in his eye, all the curses threats and sideways looks did nothing to ease his foulness only intensified it
The Entire village hated Von but had made no move to drive him out, not out of the goodness of their simple minds, but out of simple instinct of self preservation, Von was an unpleasant man, but what he lacked in manners, civility and empathy, he made up for in size, and then some. The villagers had felt that they could run him out with numbers if they needed to, but then one day a wild bull broke into the village rampaging and charging at whatever it saw, its misfortune was that during its charge it found itself in the path of Von, who had been walking calmly towards his home on the other side of the bull even as everyone else ran away from it, Von had been unarmed and even more drunk and sour than usual that afternoon, as the bull neared him, he didn't employ any tricks simply stretched out his enormous palms, caught the bull by its horns and hefted it over his shoulder, continuing home with the beast kicking and fretting about but still unable to break him hold. The next day, Von started a special on fresh cut bull.

After that incident the villagers knew that chasing Von out was nothing more than a pipe dream, so they stayed out of his way, however unpleasant he was the man had never gone looking for the trouble of someone who had no business with him.
On this fine day of Galaris the god of the sun and moon who called for rest on the day dedicated to him, not many people did this but Von however relished it, Von had only one thing in mind to do, and that was to get so black out drunk that by the time he woke up he wouldn't recognize his out stench, no simple feat, as the smell oozing off him was strong enough to make the Pigs reared by 'old man Corbin', the village's pig farmer cringe. He had just set out on the first cup to oblivion when the tavern pup ran into the village shouting something about a body in the Shit-pits, which to even someone as bad as Von spelled trouble, the best case scenario being what ever had killed him attacking the village, the worst being him waking up as undead and deciding he needed a snack before continuing to the next village, if the boy was right there was no time to waste, if the boy was wrong or just seeking attention, he'd hide him and the tavern keep together
He got up and walked towards where they'd dug the pits, close enough to reach, far enough to make sure they didn't sleep each night with the smell of shit in their nostrils, by the time they got there, the boy had overtaken him to walk in front, while a small number of men had formed behind him as they trailed there, some carrying straw and oil formed from pigs fat to help burn the body, while the rest held some sort of tool they could use to fight, Stupid he thought to himself, if it was undead what hope did a pig poker have against it? hopefully they only needed the straw

By the time they got there, the sun was nothing but a little crest at the Eastern hills, if this was an undead, it would have been through ripping their guts and on its way to the village before the sun showed up. As soon as they saw the body still there in the pit not moving, some of the men let out an audible sigh of relief and started working to bring it out, they'd needed someone to jump in and tie a rope about it so they could haul it out, no one seemed to be coming and time for his drinking was going, so he shoved the closest person in, the closest person happened to be the tavern pup who was looking in the pit at the strange clothes the corpse was wearing, shoving the pup had earned him bad looks around but he'd never cared before, why start now?
They lowered the rope to the boy who was pale with fear as he approached the still figure, reaching it, he saw a slight fog leave its lips, then he shout back up that the person was still alive, he tied the rope around the body under its pits then stepped back as we the other men hauled it up, Von didn't help of course, he came to deal with a corpse, if it wasn't a corpse yet it was his problem. They put the person to the side and lowered the rope with a noose for the boy to step on, they pulled him out, but he was holding things he said he found in the persons hand; a sheathed sword, a black wooden rod, and a staff with an odd beast head(http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120512233525/elderscrolls/images/d/d2/Dragonprieststaff_silver.png)
The Sword seemed to be in good condition, so Von tried to take it, however when he touched it, it seemed to come alive as it pulsed with energy and threw him into a nearby tree. When the sword shot used energy to shoot Von into the tree, the body stirred slightly, showing the first movement it had done since they arrived.
"Magic!!!!" someone hissed, they were startled and slightly afraid, but didn't dare to leave the Mage here, what if he woke up and sought revenge?, or worse, what if he died and turned into undead?, normal undead were bad enough, what would happen if one had magic?
And so the carried him into the village, washing him and changing his clothes, which they had their women wash carefully, such strange clothes must hold powerful magicks, they hurried to not delay and offend the unconscious mage, legend had it that even when asleep a mage was aware of all around it and could kill foolish mortals who were tired enough of life that they dared to attack them whilst they slept. In their hurry to please the mage, no one noticed that Von had failed to return with them, and no one cared enough for him to go check his home.
They kept the mage in the finest room they had, which for a village as small as theirs wasn't saying much, but they hoped Sir Mage would be reasonable when he awoke. Yet Sir Mage remained asleep, for three full days.
On the fourth day, he awoke.
