《DK (Dropped)》Chapter III - Weird Thoughts

The three wasps warriors finally reached the top of the hill, standing 3 meters right before me.
Their leader was still holding their princess.
(Are they going to say something?) I thought they wanted something from me.
A few more seconds passed, and yet nothing.
(Do I look like a poisonous snake?) They were afraid, afraid of not the question nor the answer, but of the outcome.
"Pl-Please hel..." The shield wasp tried to say.
Before he could end his sentence, I raised my hand, meaning I wanted them to be quiet, and to listen carefully.
"Hear me first!"I asked."Entering my homeland without my permission!" I said while increased my voice, "Threatening me after saving you!"I shouted."And now bringing your problems to me?"I stated.
The three wasps looked at me, they seemed ready to beg, to implore.
They mumbled, trying to find the correct words to say.
With a sudden move, I put my hand on my chin, thinking and planning.
(I could swear for a second that when I moved my hand, they were prepared to run away! Well! The ingredients have been mixed, the cake has been cooked, time to take it out of the oven!)
"But since that little one has been polite" I stated while pointing to the shield wasp, "I will help you!" while opening my right hand making a good gesture, "But I have 1 rule!" I increased voice while showing 1 finger.
The wasps stared at me, awaiting for the answer as I deliberately waited 3 seconds to continue.
"My word, in this land is LAW!" I shouted as it was meant for the entire forest to ear.
My plan worked, the three wasps nodded with their heads.
"Now come here, tell me what you want." I said while pointing to the ground on my front, right next to my feet.

At the start they stood still, but their leader stepped forward.
Then he laid down their princess on the grass, sat next to her, wich was right on my front and 1 meter away.
The two wasps also came near and sat right behind him, the shield to the left and the spear to the right.
"Please listen to me Great Beast!" Spoke the leader. "Our Hive was destroyed in the war against the Arach, the creatures you saved us from." He stated.
"We are the only ones that survived the war and our princess is the only one capable of giving birth to our future generation! We will do as you say" So please! Can you ensure the protection of your princess?" The wasp leader begged to me.
I could have said no, but at that moment I felt that the answer was to simply nod my head in agreement.
(Why nod? I don't know, just feels more mysterious, besides, a simple "yes I will help you" is a cliché and lame to me!) Weird thought but who cares?
(Besides, If I show too much trust or kindness, it can lead to weakness, jealousy and betrayal!)
I had a say in my previous life, most of the times in the long run, it is best to slay the princess and fuck the dragon.
"Thank you Great Beast!" (Wasp Leader)
"Thank you!" (Wasp spearman)
"Thank you very much!" (Wasp Shield User)
"I advice that all of you rest for now, with the exception of the one with the scar, I need to ask you a few things." (DK)
"Of course, Great Beast!" The leader said while nodding to the others to sleep.
While the two were sleeping besides the Princess, the leader sat on my right.

"I will answer all that I know!" He told me with pride.
"First, why do you keep calling me, Great Beast?" (Been wondering about this for a while!)
"Because you are a Great Beast? Or am I mistaken?" The leader answered a question with a question.
"I do not know what a Great Beast is, I am a Skeleton, do you not know any of my kind?" Answering a question that answered a question with a question.
(Yup, going up this road, I wonder if there are trolls in this world, because I was having one of their smiles at the moment...)
"Sky-lo-ton? My apologies, I never heard of them, actually... I never saw any of your kind before!" Said the leader while looking at me like I was a rare animal.
"I thought you were a Great Beast, because they are rare unique creatures that can do special things, especially when you are able to speak wasps language! Only our kind can do that since we have a special unique feature on our throats!" (Wasp Leader)
"No, I am not a Great Beast, I ask you to call me DK, for that is my name!" (DK)
(Like seriously, being called Great Beast is weird, well, it would be good if It was by females only, but now it would not make sense since I got nothing but bones down there! Ahah! Bones!)
"Yes, of course Great DK!" (Wasp Leader)
(It could be worse, it could be Huge instead of Great, imagine the puns?)
"Tell me, I heard that Wasps are good at making some sort of shelters, can you make one for me at this place?" (DK)
"Well, we can build them out of a special liquid we produce, it makes a decent shelter against rain and we only need to eat a few leaves for it." (Wasp Leader)
"Very well, after we are done talking I will sleep beneath the ground I am standing, for it is my bed." I informed the wasp. "I want you to rest and then build up a decent house for me!" I stated with a serious voice, "On wich you must complete before I wake up at sun fall."
"W-We will try our best!" (Wasp Leader)
"Good!" I raised my hand and pointed to the direction they came. "Also, clean up the bodies, I don't care about the enemy bodies, just make them disappear, regarding the ones from your comrades, you may deal with them according to your traditions and bring the leftover weapons from your previous engagement."
"Thank you for respecting us. We will do everything that you ask!" The wasp said with gratitude.
"Get some rest now. I will be underground, do not wake me up if the enemy does not attack!" I warned him.
"Yes, of course!" (Wasp Leader)
I dug a bit, just enough to cover my entire body, for some reason, I felt like I could only rest underground.
(From what I can tell, my first 2 wishes worked, so I am wondering about the third one?)
From what I could tell as I was again underground, sleeping was something I could not do.
I stared at the earth on top of me, waiting for something to happen.
(How can I even close my eyes if I don't have them?)
Then I simply imagined that I closed my eyes...

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations. All were ecstatic when the current generation of the two Archduchy's, after the war, agreed to let their children wed. The excitement was short-lived however when the Aerianne Princess proved to be a dragoness among men but the Kanarian Prince was worse than even mediocre. The Prince disappeared and the wedding was shortly forgotten as society lived on. Until one day the Young Heir of Kanaria returned to Farrien a changed man, bringing demise with him.
