《DK (Dropped)》Chapter XIV - Third Night

My plan was to let the wasps eat so that after they were done, I could discuss hunting, training and reconnaissance with them.
"Grab your weapons!" (DK)" Leonidas stay with the Cleopatra! Ragnar and Caesar with me!" I commanded them with a shout.
The wasps were so busy eating that they failed to see the three Arach at the entrance.
As Cleopatra and Leonidas rose and moved to the back of the Great Hall, me, Ragnar and Caesar formed a frontline against this new enemy force.
(Fuck! I only needed one more day! Can this shit get any worst?)
I should have know to not jinx it in my thoughts since a fourth Arach joined his comrades on that moment.
Flying on my right, tightly holding his spear, Ragnar asked. "What do we do?"
"Great DK, this cannot be all of them!" Caesar implied as he drew his swords on my left.
I had no time to say anything to Caesar as the four Arach came at us with a ferocious rush.
"Eat this you fucks!" I shouted, raising my leg like I was trying to score a goal in futebol, kicking the leading Arach's stomach as hard as I could.
This Arach's body was projected into his ally who was behind him, making them fall to the ground.
"Ragnar!" I shouted again, pointing at the 2 fallen Arach.
Ragnar and Caesar knew what I meant.
While Caesar kept going forward with me, able to fly, Ragnar dived in from above aiming for their heads of the colapsed enemies, with the piercing sound of his spear, the two enemies died with one blow.
The third Arach jumped towards me, forcing me to defend myself and so I stretched up my left arm to grab him by the thorax.

The fourth one tried to join in, but Caesar passed by my left side to intercept the fourth enemy, he declared with a shout "This one's mine!" while swinging his swords at the enemy.
Caesar and the Aratch exchanged blows, each trying to either dodge or block attacks, making a repetitive "cha-ching, clank, cha-ching, clank" noise, wich made an eco upon the Great Hall.
I was able to hold the third enemy, but struggling with panic, "CLACK!" he used his lower arms to hit my arm.
(The little fuck ripped my hand by the pulse!)
Before the Arach could escape, I slapped him with my right hand, making him fall to the ground.
With the third enemy on the ground, in an instant, Ragnar, with his head painted of Arach's blue blood, dived for his third kill.
As I looked forward, Caesar had already sliced the fourth enemy's head.
"Go to the entrance! Check if there's more enemies!" I shouted to the wasps.
Both rushed in, one ran and the other flew.
The two warrior wasps took a look from the entrance, after a dozen seconds, Ragnar answered. "There's no enemy in sight!"
I promptly joined in with them at the entrance after hearing their response.
It seemed so calm outside compared to the recent moments in the Great Hall.
"Keep being on guard, this might have been only a scout party..." I informed the wasps.
With the major danger gone, Cleopatra and Leonidas joined us at the entrance.
"This is bad! Do they know where we are?" I asked Cleopatra with a worried voice.
"This is a closed valley. They would find us eventually!" (Caesar)
"Should we pack-up and leave?" Ragnar mumbled his suggestion.
"But what about the unborn wasps! We cannot leave them!" Leonidas expressed his worries for the unborn.

Cleopatra grabbed my hand and asked. "Great DK, what do you think we should do?"
"Give me a moment to think." (DK)
As the four waited for my response, they made a surprised face as they saw my left hand crawling, returning to its place.
Finally, I answered Cleopatra. "Dont worry Cleopatra, please finish your meal and then go get some rest." And with a nod, she returned to her meal.
"Leonidas, Caesar and Ragnar!" (DK) "Two of you will be on guard at all times while the other one rests! Is that clear?"
All three answered as they tried to fill their thorax. "Yes Great DK!"
Ragnar and Caesar stood on guard, while Leonidas returned to his meal.
I sat near the entrance, decided to help out incase more enemies appeared.
(I hope this will be a boring night!)

In Pursuit of Glory
I felt a huge physical force slam into my back. I didn't have any time to think as I rocketed into the wall and felt the drywall dent beneath my body. Eyes wide, I groaned and began to push off the wall when, unceasingly relentless, my assailant backstabbed me with a knife to my gut. I gasped; being stabbed there is no laughing matter. Even today, with all the advances of science, a wound like that can easily be mortal. Most likely would be. I gasped for air with a snarl, funneling the wind into my lungs to help them expand after being pancaked into the wall. Nobody f***ing backstabs me and gets away with it. If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I love being alive. I love it more than anything else. It’s something only a dead person can understand, and I feel myself forgetting all the time. But there’s a secret to death, and I keep it with me. Always. It’s never permanent, it’s never peaceful, and it’s always filled with regrets. But death, despite all of its shortfalls, can give a short respite from life, like a comfy afternoon nap. Death is Respite. It’s a rest for the weary. And to all those people who wander in death lonesome and regretting their broken lives - always, without fail, cut too short - I beg them to take advantage of it. I tell everyone to take advantage of death, even when I can’t bring myself to do so. --- Ciaran travels the world in pursuit of Glories, unfathomable, power-bestowing balls of golden light sequestered in difficult-to-reach places. A fun fantasy romp with a character with an unorthodox narrative voice trying to find his purpose in the world.

A Will to Recognize
What do you think it takes to live? Is it strength? Power? Magic? Unparalleled intelligence? Or are they all mere accessories to the fact that life is irrelevant? Do you have what it takes to bear the burden of life? Does life even matter? I don't know, and to be frank, I am somehow alive; I was even able to function in society at one point. It frightens me to think no one else knows our purpose: not our parents, friends, or mentors. And I can't bring myself to surrender to any religion. But I do have a direction. A goal, one might say. My wish is to one day shout on top of the highest mountains, "Life doesn't frighten me!" But that won't happen. Because I died a long time ago. ... You're still here? That? Oh it was all in the script. You didn't think I'd actually say that cringey stuff, did you? ~Daniel

The First Primordial [DROPPED]
[Story dropped until further notice, I don't currently plan on restarting the story but will leave it as a possible option] During the Creation and before the inception of the Realms, there were 3 beings. Known as Primordials, beings even the God's knew little about that were rumoured to be myths or legends. Follow one of such beings that, given the unflattering name Arthur and the species of Demon, must figure out his place within the realms and find his fellow Primordials. Spending the beginning of creation within what will be called The White Realm then spending an unknown amount of time screwing around in the Demon Realm. Once he finally begins his story, he will be acquainted with a world full of grand vistas, religious nuts and floating rocks which will remove whatever little common sense he had remaining. Of course, there will be no shortage of trouble that will complicate things that (due to a poor ability in making good first impressions) will cause more than a few worlds changing events. These events include the destruction of a church and minor religion, including the death of that religion's God, messing with the reincarnated people and even introducing his own reincarnators along with the slight involvement of a war between the Demon Realm and the Creation Realm. Slow burn story; expect the story to be long with plot being introduced as it goes along. The story will include a main character with an actual mind and personality that will create, learn, and even destroy as the story progresses with an emphasis on what experiencing the other side of most novels, a perspective on that one whimsical god that brings the protagonist from one world to another that is only ever mentioned in the starting chapter. [PS- This will be my first time writing, so advice, tips and critiques will be appreciated. The release schedule is a bit iffy and unreliable but will mostly be every Sunday]
