《The Strength of Duality (Newly Edited)》Telling Shen Yu

There is one thing he thought about the skill though. 'This skill is great! Even if it isn't that useful in battle right away, if I get better with the skill it will eventually be useful."
"Also I feel like the skill isn't purely made to be used by itself in battle. I feel like it is mostly for training your use of qi and your grasp of qi. By training this skill it will greatly help me in the future.'
'I should put this skill off for now though. Cultivating comes first.'
With that he put away the skills and instead put all of his attention on the pile of qi gathering pills in his spatial bag. He put them all together and counted.
In total he had five hundred qi gathering pills now. Most of them came from the expert of the Chen clan he killed.
He figured that the expert had gotten his wealth from doing shady things. He guessed the reason they did not have any demonic beast cores was that they had no use for them and sold them for qi gathering pills.
Normally cultivators could only use the cores as ingredients for things they created through their profession. The experts he killed had no use for them so whatever cores they might get were sold.
Even without any demonic beast cores Yun Tian was quite happy with the wealth he now had. He thought inwardly 'I wonder if this is enough to fill up my dantian and break through.'
Normally this amount of wealth would be enough for anyone to break through, but they did not have enough time to use it all. Yun Tian's problems were the opposite. He only needed enough resources.
He took out the qi gathering pills and started swallowing them to cultivate one by one. Slowly but surely his dantain was filling up. Eventually he had swallowed them all.

He looked inward to his dantian that was almost full and then at the spatial bag with no qi gathering pills and lamented. He thought 'Oh well I am considerably stronger now. I can just go hunt for some demonic beasts or I can sell some stuff for qi gathering pills.'
While he did cultivate extremely quickly he still had to swallow five hundred pills so it was starting to get bright outside by now. His body was not exhausted since he had been constantly fed with energy, but his mind was dead tired.
He thought 'I should get some rest.'
He fell asleep after that. He didn't know, but Shen Yu had been watching him the entire time. She thought to herself 'Tian can never take a break and has to always get stronger as fast as he can. I am too weak.'
Her resolve had once again increased. With that she also slept for a few hours more and then when she woke up she went and got food for them from the inn.
Cultivators needed less sleep as they got stronger, but the mind still needs time to rest. So even though Yun tian had not gotten much sleep he was fine. He only needed to let his mind rest for a while.
When she came back Yun Tian woke up and Shen Yu said "Let's eat breakfast first before anything."
They then sat together on Yun Tian's bed and started to eat. While they were eating Shen Yu said "I know that you did not go to bed right away last night."
With that said Yun Tian was slightly startled, but Shen Yu did not let him say anything. "I know that you think you have to get stronger as fast as possible, but you know cultivation takes time."

After she said this she thought inwardly 'If Mom and Dad were alive they would not want you to push yourself and would still want you to enjoy life.'
She thought this, but she didn't want to say it out loud and discourage Yun Tian. She loved his drive to push forward, but she also didn't like seeing him push himself. She didn't want to see him like he was in the past. Cultivating nonstop with no results.
"I know cultivation normally takes time, but if you saw me cultivating you should know that I am different."
Shen Yu had only thought about him before and just realized that the way he cultivated was weird. 'He swallowed hundreds of qi gathering pills last night What!?.'
When she realized this part she knocked her food out of the way and jumped on Yun Tian "Oh my god are you alright! Why did you swallow so many pills?! You're not going to die right!?"
Seeing that Shen Yu had even started crying Yun Tian realized that she had misunderstood and quickly reassured her while hugging her and patting her on the back. "I am fine. I'm not going to die. My body just seems to be different from other cultivators."
"I can absorb qi very quickly, but my dantian also seems to need a lot more qi than other people in the same cultivation. That is what you saw last night."
Hearing Yun Tian's words Shen Yu calmed down and while still in his arms she looked up and asked "Then is cultivation going to be very difficult for you? Don't worry I will help you gather resources."
Hearing that Shen Yu wanted to help him he smiled and said "Don't worry about me. You saw yesterday it yourself yesterday. I can even defeat those in realms higher than me since my qi is stronger and more pure than others. Also I have a greater talent that allows me to gain a greater grasp of my skills than other cultivators."
He debated on whether to tell her about the demonic beast cores and in the end decided to reveal it to her. "There is one more thing. The other day when I hunted that demonic beast, I took out it's core and held it in my hand."
"After that I noticed it was being absorbed by my body. By absorbing demonic beast cores my body grew even stronger and I absorbed a lot of extremely pure qi."
Hearing everything he said Shen Yu was happy and then worried when he told her about the demonic beast cores she worried once more.

The Painter: A fantasy psych thriller and epic
*** June 21th Update ***- New chapters are being posted! I haven't figured out a schedule yet, but stay tuned!- Thank you to everyone who has read and reviewed, I'm happy to say The Painter is in the top 200 best-rated fictions. - Readers of The Painter have suggested reading through Chapter 6 before making a decision on this book.- The story takes place in the Lootverse, but you don't need a canonical understanding to appreciate the storyFinally, a warning or reader beware: This is not an action novel (despite the coming fight scene) but a slow-burn psychological thriller of sorts. For a time, the Painter's life was simple. He lived in the small town of Kinon (called Kinney by locals) with his wife, Kahriah and his son, Thesdon. The story begins with him alone and unable to travel more than a few hundred miles from his home. For 5 years he tried to chart his prison until one day a letter appears with a mysterious commission that will see him test his condition and his boundary. Set roughly 50 years before the impending end of days (from Loot canon), The Painter is a story about loss, grit, and exploration of a seemingly normal man in a world of magic and monsters. The Painter will follow the man on his adventure to restore his family, uncover his commissioners and discover the nature of his condition. Loot is the decentralized, global, community built fantasy world based on Dom Hoffman's art/tech experiment: Loot. Fun fact: The cover of our book is painted by the artist, who the MC is loosely based on and the same person painting the Banners (digitally) IRL for an art/worldbuilding project.
