He was happy and wanted to break through immediately since he was fully healed, but he knew he should rest first to be at peak condition. With this thought in mind he got up to go find Shen Yu.

He opened the door of the room and walked down the stairs.

The scene he saw was similar to earlier in the day with Shen Yu helping to make food while Wu Chen waited at the table with his daughter.

Wu Chen greeted him first saying “Hello, how are your injuries? Are they still fine?”

Yun Tian greeted him back and said “They are doing great in fact and should be completely healed shortly.”

He didn’t want them to know that the only reason he was staying here now was to break through to the next realm.

Ming Yu said “Food will be done shortly so wait at the table.”

With that he sat at the table and interacted with Wu Chen and his daughter.

Food was done soon and the five of them chatted while eating. After a while they had finished eating and they said goodnight to each other and went to their rooms to sleep.

Back in their room Shen Yu asked him “You were completely focused in your cultivation today. Did something happen?”

In response Yun Tian smiled and while they were sitting on the bed he said “Take a look at this.”

Then he removed his shirt which made Shen Yu blush while looking at his chiseled body, but she didn’t look away.

Her blush mostly went away when she noticed Yun Tian taking off the bandage on his waist.

When he finished she was surprised to see no wound or even a scar there. She couldn’t help herself and reached out her hand to feel the area.

This made the situation slightly awkward after a second since Shen Yu had her hand on his waist and was feeling around.

This time Yun Tian blushed first and after another second Shen Yu also realized how the situation looked and became embarrassed too.

To hide her embarrassment and change the subject she said with a red face “How did your wounds heal so quickly. It looked like they would take a longer time than only a day to heal before.”

Yun Tian also got over his embarrassment and said “This is what I was doing earlier.”

Then he went on to explain about the core in his chest and how he distributed the energy inside it to heal and strengthen his body.

Hearing all this Shen Yu was slightly stunned, but in the end still smiled and jumped on him hugging him.

She said “Ah, that’s great. You’re healed now.”

They stayed lying there on the bed for a little while basking in their joy and Yun Tian continued to tell her some things.

At the end Yun Tian said “I plan on trying to break through tomorrow. I will be in peak condition after resting.”

Right now Shen Yu was laying with her head on Yun Tian’s arm.

She looked at him and said “I know you can do it. Even if you can’t tomorrow, it doesn’t really matter. We don’t have to rush to do everything. We can just take things slowly and figure everything out. Everything takes time, especially cultivation.”

Yun Tian knew that she was worried that he would not be able to break through tomorrow and would be discouraged.

He smiled and said “Thank you Shen Yu.”

Shen Yu was looking at the ceiling right now as Yun Tian stared at her.

He was thinking inside ‘What can I do for Shen Yu. I am only dragging her along with me right now. I believe I can do more for her once I become stronger, but what can I do right now. She is too nice to me, I have to take care of her too.’

While in Shen Yu’s mind her thoughts were all about how she could lower Yun Tian’s burden and make him happier.

Eventually Yun Tian stopped thinking with a sigh in his mind.

‘I can’t do more than I am able to. I just have to try my best to make her happy and do what she wants.’

“Good night Shen Yu.”

Hearing him Shen Yu broke out of her thoughts too and said “Good night” back to him.

With that Yun Tian drifted off to sleep while Shen Yu looked at him.

In her head she had one thought ‘Am I only a burden?’

In reality she had not been much of a burden to him except for the incident with the Grand Elder, but the thought of ‘what if’ lingered in her mind.

She cast aside these thoughts and decided to talk to Yun Tian about this later.

She fell asleep too.

The next morning Yun Tian woke up and was in high spirits.

Him moving around also stirred awake Shen Yu who groggily said “Good morning Dage.”

“Good morning Shen Yu.”

Seeing that Yun Tian was in a happy mood Shen Yu also smiled and said “Excited to try and break through?”

Yun Tian said “Yep. Let’s go eat breakfast and then I want to try and break through right after. I can’t wait any longer. Come on, come on let’s go! Get up!”

Seeing Yun Tian so happy and rushing her to get up Shen Yu giggled and threw a pillow at him.

“I’m coming hold on.”

Yun Tian caught the pillow though and threw it back at her.

Neither of them used any real strength since they were playing around, but Yun Tian laughed when the pillow hit her in the face.

In response, Shen Yu took the pillow and started to hit Yun Tian with it.

They both started to laugh and have fun with pillows for a while.

Yun Tian couldn’t keep his excitement down though and he said “Alright, alright that was fun, but let’s go eat now. Come on.”

WIth that they walked out of the room and down the stairs.
