He handed the pill back to Feng Bao and then said “Would you like to trade me some of these pills in exchange for the other sword and three skills I have. I will take whatever you could trade them for in pills, even a little less. It would be you helping me out.”

Right now, the only people who know about his strength are the people here in the Feng clan. If he goes to trade this stuff in at the spirit market, more people would find out about his strength. Being discreet if you can is always better.

Plus he could get the pills right away. These pills in addition to the demonic beast cores he still had could fill up his dantian considerably.

Hearing Yun Tian’s words Feng Bao smiled and said “Sure that’s fine with me. I could just trade them in for some pills to replace these anyway, if I want to. I don’t lose out and it helps you so it’s all good.”

He truly was happy that he could build a good relationship with Yun Tian through this.

“Alright thanks then. Here are the skills and swords.”

He already knew the basics of the skills at the very least so he did not need their manuals anymore. Also, he still had his sword and one more for Shen Yu.

Since Yun Tian took out his items Feng Bao followed and gave Yun Tian the skill book followed by four bottles of pills. Each of them had ten pills each.

Holding the bottles in his hand, Yun Tian raised an eyebrow and said “Isn’t this too much based on what you said?”

Feng Bao countered “I truly can’t thank you enough for saving Mei’er.”

Yun Tian started to feel bad at this point. He gained things by killing the Chen clan elder. He wasn’t some good samaritan who went around helping people for no reason. Even when he came here, Feng Bao has given him many things. He felt like he was taking advantage of them.

Yun Tian accepted the pills, but said “Fine, but don’t hesitate to ask if you need any help then. I think you might have already guessed, but I am very strong. Especially when I am fighting with my sword and not just defending.”

Feng Bao laughed at that and said “I offered to let you attack, you know.”

Still he was happy inside since what Yun Tian just said was what he was after. From now on he had established a good relationship with Yun Tian.

Now that they finished with their trades Feng Bao asked “Is there anything else I can help with then?”

He did not want anything from Yun Tian right now and he wanted to see if Yun Tian needed anything else.

Yun Tian thought for a moment and asked “Nothing really, but if I might ask, how is it going with the Chen clan?”

He wondered if they had attacked back for revenge at all yet.

Once he said that though, both Feng Bao and Feng Mei adopted grim expressions.

“Ah, I almost forgot to tell you about this. Don’t go looking for them. That Chen clan is never up to any good.”

“My clan is on good terms with the Chu clan. The Chu clan leader would have helped me exterminate the Chen clan and that was what I was planning on doing with him after I heard what happened from Mei’er.”

Here he sighed and continued “Unfortunately, the Chu clan leader told me something. The Chen clan has a strong backer and we can’t mess with them. Their backer doesn’t actively support them, but if we go after them their backer would come for us.”

Hearing this Yun Tian’s expression darkened too since he had killed a Chen clan elder.

Seeing that Yun Tian's expression darken Feng Bao reassured him “Don’t worry about that Elder you killed. It only matters if you go after the important members of the clan or attack their clan publicly.”

Yun Tian’s expression lightened at that.

He said “This only means that if you want revenge, you have to suck it up for now and cultivate harder to get revenge when you are stronger than their backer.”

Hearing that Feng Bao had a look of determination on his face and said “My thoughts exactly. Anyone who goes after my people, especially Mei’er, dies!”

Yun Tian felt the same way.

He said “We are similar in this regard. I also need strength for revenge.”

Feng Bao was intrigued hearing that and wondered who Yun Tian’s enemy was, but seeing that he didn’t say he didn’t ask.

Yun Tian also realised he said too much and changed the topic saying “Okay, thank you for having us today, but we are going to go rest now.”

It was dark out by now. His plan was to cultivate for a while and then rest.

Feng Bao interrupted “How about we arrange a place for you in the clan.”

Yun Tian looked at Shen Yu who was sitting next to him and hadn’t taken part in the conversation so far since it was mainly between him and Feng Bao.

Seeing Yun Tian look at her she said “it would be easier than finding an inn.”

Feng Bao then said “Great, Mei’er arrange a courtyard for them.”

“Yes dad.”

With that Feng Mei stood up and said “I will take you to a courtyard then. Please follow me.”

Yun Tian and Shen Yu stood up too. Yun Tian said while saluting with his fists “Good night Clan Leader Bao.”

Feng Bao laughed and said while returning the salute “Don’t be so formal. I told you two call me Uncle Bao, remember.”

Yun Tian nodded and said “Yes, I will in the future.”

He was fine with being familiar with Feng Bao as he had helped a lot and seemed like a decent person.

Shen Yu said to him “Good night Uncle Bao.”

Shen Yu’s sweet voice and how he addressed him made Feng Bao smile. He said in return “Good night to you too.”

Feng Mei said “I will be back then after helping them to their courtyard father.”

With that the three of them left the house and started to walk down the path towards the courtyards near the center of the clan. They didn’t go far when Feng Mei stopped in front of a courtyard saying “This is the courtyard we let important guests stay in. Please make yourselves at home.”
