Even as his head was filled with his thankfulness for becoming friendly with Yun Tian, Chu Hong did not lose his head and instead asked, “If the wolves’ were one of your reasons, why else are you here?”

He had a guess, but even so he still asked.

His guess was on point as Yun Tian immediately answered, while his gaze became filled with killing intent once more, “The Chen clan is another reason for me coming here.”

All the cultivators there could not help but suck in cold breaths as they felt the killing intent he emanated along with the pressure he exuded. The scene suddenly became tense with all their heart rates speeding up.

That was except for the Feng and Chu clan members who actually wanted to do the same as him, go after the Chen clan.

Still, the atmosphere only lasted for a moment as Chu Hong then revealed, “Chen Long has already fled with anyone close to him. Those left are unimportant. Chen Long has also probably taken anything of value left at the clan.”

Hearing this, Yun Tian immediately sighed in his mind thinking, ‘I shouldn’t have let him get away so easily.’

Still, he retracted his killing intent and said, “Then I am only here for some unimportant matters. I won’t bother anyone this time.”

With that everyone felt like they could breathe once more. The impression Yun Tian gave off went from a normal youth to looking like he could start a massacre, along with having displayed that he had the power to do it, before once more returning to his carefree attitude and seeming like he would not hurt a fly. It was extremely hard for any of them to read him or to even understand just how strong he was.

However, Yun Tian did not care about any of the fear he was generating among the people there or about them in general. It was Chen Long he wanted. His killing intent towards Chen Long was almost just as strong as the killing intent that burned inside him for those who killed his parents. Chen Long had wanted to hurt Shen Yu.

So, ‘He. Must. Die.’ were Yun Tian’s exact thoughts. He didn’t give a damn about any potential backer either.

After putting that matter to the back of his mind, he said, “I do want some info though. I wonder if you might enlighten me.”

Chu Hong shook his head saying, “Sure, but before that. May I ask why those beasts are behind you?”

Yun Tian’s face became a shade darker as he asked, “Why are your clan members behind you?”

Seeing that Yun Tian had unknowingly been offended, Feng Bao, the Feng clan leader stepped up saying, “Young friend please don’t misunderstand. It was just an honest question. You see the wolves around town have been plaguing us to no end. That is until you solved our problem.”

Yun Tian calmed down once more as the wolves who also started to growl calmed down with him.

He then said, “Yes, you are right, those wolves had been annoying you guys. But no one can insult my family. These guys are with me. And I don't think you guys have any right to question me anyway.”

He had helped them and shown them his strength, but they were still suspicious of him. In the end, they were the ones being uncourteous.

Chu Hong realized this as well. While he was surprised at Yun Tian’s words he still said, “I’m sorry for phrasing it that way. I am the one who is most grateful for your help. Okay, why doesn’t everyone else leave for now.”

He both wanted to discuss matters away from prying eyes and didn’t want to be disgraced in front of others. He was usually the top dog, but in front of Yun Tian, he could only go along with what he said, even if they were friendly with each other.

At his words, everyone not from the Chu or Feng clan left like their lives had suddenly been pardoned. They couldn’t be happier to get away from the monster that is Yun Tian. He had greatly scared them. Especially, when he had displayed his killing intent.

After that Feng Bao turned and said, “You guys too,” to his clan members. The Chu clan members turned to their leader who also nodded telling them to go.

With that it was just Chu Hong, Feng Bao, Yun Tian, and the wolves left. That is except for the guards who were still standing stunned in front of the gate.

Seeing this Yun Tian laughed and said, “Go ahead, I will meet up with you later.”

Wu Chen was stunned, but quickly said to the other guards, “The Chu Clan Leader leader has told us to go men.”

They all snapped back to reality leaving almost as fast as the others despite their inferior strength.

With that, Yun Tian was able to focus on the two men in front of him once more.

He started the conversation saying: “Sorry for causing some tension.”

Feng Bao thought inwardly, ‘Tension!? More like we were all scared to death.’

Still he said, “No, thank you for your help with the wolves and even wanting to take care of the Chen clan.”

Hearing this, Yun Tian gave him a look which chilled him to the core saying: “Yes, I wanted to take care of Chen Long, but only for my own reasons. Not for you. Although, I do appreciate what happened at my visit last time.”

Feng Bao, quickly agreed saying: “Yes I know, but I still wanted to thank you. ”

He was aware that Yun Tian went after the Chen clan because they went after him. He was not standing up for the Feng clan. In the past, he was also aware that Yun Tian saved his daughter by coincidence and for his own benefits, but he still awarded him nonetheless.

At this point, everything they had said ended up with poor results so Chu Hong decided to switch back to the main topic saying: “Enough small talk, what did you want to know? As long as I know what you want I will tell you, with how you helped us out.”
