《The Strength of Duality (Newly Edited)》The Strength Needed To Be Trade

Yun Tian regained his focus after his excitement died down. After he heard what they said and realized the implications it could have, he became alert and picked Shen Yu back up into his grasp.
She released a soft yelp at his swift action before looking around and wondering why he was doing this. They had already completed a successful and peaceful trade. Still, she didn’t want to distract him and just complied with him.
The people around also shot confused glances at why the smiling Yun Tian suddenly looked like he had been spooked and was ready for something to come at him. Still, they could only listen to the two peak dantian building experts and silently leave after saluting them.
Now the only ones left were Yun Tian’s group and the two clans that spread out to surround him. While what they said might not sound threatening, there was no other reason for them to want the others to leave that he could think of, except for one thing.
While he could be wrong, Yun Tian was a cautious person and he thought he was right after watching their actions now. He felt that the two of them had changed their attitudes completely. The cordial and casual atmosphere was gone.
Mu Wen was on one side with her mostly female clan and Gu Jie was on the other side. Their clans combined amounted to two late stage experts, twelve mid stage experts and seven early stage experts. If they surrounded anyone else that person would be scared shitless.
Their previous friendly expressions were gone as Gu Jie said, “Kid just hand over all your stuff and we’ll let you leave.”
Mu Wen then said with a smile, “Or you can hand your sword over to me and we can work together to take Gu Jie down. I will give it back after the battle, don't worry.”

The increase in strength her side would get from having the high grade sword and the wolves along with whatever strength Yun Tian had made her confident in being able to take Gu Jie down. As for what would happen afterward… Who knows?
Her words caused Gu Jie and his clan to shoot sharp looks at her. And then Gu Jie said, “Fine, I offer the same thing.”
They were heatedly arguing and issuing all these threats with even their clansmen joining in. It seemed they completely disregarded Yun Tian’s strength and were going to attack each other first.
In the middle of all this, Yun Tian suddenly started laughing. His laughter almost sounded crazy and made their hairs stand on end. While Shen Yu in his arms thought his laughter in the middle of this tense situation was very domineering.
After he was done and the surroundings quieted down, Yun Tian said, “Stop with all the nonsense. Whether I give you my stuff or not neither of you would let me go in the end.”
Both Gu Jie and Mu Wen were confused as they looked at him, they wanted to know how he was able to stay so calm and even laugh with what was happening. It unnerved them.
He wasn’t done yet though as he said, “Want to know how I know that?”
He immediately said afterward, “It’s not because I am smart or can see the future. Nothing like that. It's because of one thing. I don’t plan on letting any of you go.”
After that, everyone around was stunned and then started laughing. While he did have some strong wolves with him, he was facing off against two whole clans led by peak stage dantian building experts.
They didn’t think for a second he could kill them. Even Gu Jie and Mu Wen laughed. They could feel a faint dangerous sensation from him, but it wasn’t so intense that they felt they couldn’t kill him especially if their clans worked together.

Their laughter was suddenly stifled though as killing intent, a feeling of ferocity, and warrior intent burst out of Yun Tian’s body. They all quickly pulled out their weapons and stared at Yun Tian feeling like they could die at any moment. Their disdain transformed into fear at this moment.
It felt like they were facing a dangerous beast and great warrior on the battlefield who had taken uncountable lives at the same time. To them they felt like he could claim their lives at any time and their hearts wavered. It felt like they were the fools provoking a deadly catastrophe instead of it being the other way around like they had thought.
Even Mu Wen and Gu Jie stared in anxiety at Yun Tian. They hadn’t expected that he would be this strong. They exchanged glances and quickly said together, “Everyone, work together. We will deal with the rest after he is dead.”
They knew from Yun Tian’s bursting killing intent and words earlier that he didn’t plan on talking with them any longer.
They were right as he pulled out his sword and his killing intent intensified, along with his dense qi covering the blade. The characters on each side blazed with their respective black and red colors.
With one hand holding Shen Yu and the other holding his sword, he said, “You guys handle the weaklings.”
Bolin howled into the air at that and the wolves’ bared their fangs as they got ready for battle. This sight made Mu Wen and Gu Jie grimace. At the very least they now thought they would experience some losses. The only thing they thought was good was that the qi coming out of Yun Tian, while strong, was weaker than their own.
The next second though, demonic qi flooded Yun Tian’s body empowering it and lightning sparked on his legs right before he launched toward Gu Jie who’s eyes widened upon seeing Yun Tian’s speed of movement as he came at him.
He held up his sword covering it and himself with qi to defend himself, but Yun Tian’s actions were so fast and abrupt that that was all he could do. Yun Tian swung his sword filled with his killing intent and ferocity with all his might.

# The Gemstone of Ominium 2 - Pain
Her unfazed expression didn’t even waver when the blade of her thin sword pierced one of the men all the way through armor, flesh and bone, a gurgling sound bubbling from his throat. With a kick she mercilessly pushed him back, freeing her blade, and glanced down at his dead body sprawled at her feet, confirming that death had indeed taken him. Stepping over the dead man’s body as if it were a mere pebble on her path, she raised her head just in time to see her second attacker lunge at her and, nimbly turning on her heels, she slit his throat. A spray of hot, sticky blood hit her left cheek and slid down her neck, but she didn’t even blink. The scent of the fresh blood filled her nostrils and her brain like an inebriating drug and she stepped forward once again, lightly turning to one side to avoid being decapitated and quickly returning the favor. One by one the men kept falling as she advanced, victims of her lethal, almost mechanical movements, as if she’d been born with a sword in hand and ready to kill …* This is a direct continuation of Book 1 - Denial. You CANNOT start reading Book 2 without reading Book 1, since the story won't make any sense! Enjoy ^_^*
