《PERCEPTION (A New Begining)》Unseen Visitor

My consciousness slowly came back to me. I opened my eyes and I saw the ceiling of my living room. I stared at the ceiling for a second before the memories started flooding in. Springing up I shouted, "You're not getting away!"
"..."
I heard a familiar voice to the left of me, "What in the world are you shouting about? Are you alright?"
Looking past the couch that I had just been laying on I saw my Ma in the kitchen, she looked to be making dinner. I couldn't help but stare at her dumbfounded, "But...Ma you're home...... But he said? He said you were with him?"
"Who said what now?"
"The man, from the hospital! He said you were with him. Why did he let you go? Where is he?"
For some reason my Ma blushed, she never blushes. "Oh, he didn't tell me he was going to tell you that. Well, it's not like he was holding me hostage I just drank a little too much so I decided to stay the night at his place. And by the time I woke up I had to get to work."
What!? She spent the night--wait why was she drinking with him. Wouldn't she have texted me if she wasn't going to be coming home? "Why didn't you message me?"
"Excuse me I'm not sure I like your attitude. Don't forget I am the parent here!" The weight of those words felt heavy and scary. That at least meant she was still her normal self. "If you must know I was going to but he said he would stop by to check up on you both for my sake and his job."
His job! Does she know what he does? Was he just bluffing when he said he would keep her? Wait.....Did they go on a date! "Ma you can't be serious you went on a date with him? You don't even know him! He isn't who you think he is."

Oh shit, not that face! I must have really pissed her off, but I need to keep her away from him. I can't back down I have to stand my ground for her sake. I'm doing this for you Ma!
Ma leaned in just before she spoke, "What I do does NOT need your approval. As for him, I have gotten to know him a little bit and he has been helping me through all of this. Do you really think my judge of character is that bad?" I went to speak but she raised her finger to silence me. I guess that was a rhetorical question. She leaned back and looked down to the left, her face getting a bit red. "Besides I wouldn't really call that a date. We were just talking and I embarrassed myself by drinking more than I could handle. It's just been so long that I just can't drink like I used to."
I've never seen my Ma like this. He must really have her hooked. No, he must be tricking her! I'm sorry I have failed you, but I can't fight you. I'll just have to take him down to sort this whole mess out. I could tell her everything I know but the last thing I want to do is getter her involved in this after all the trouble I have caused her.
Alright, first I have to either figure out where he is or draw him out. He had to use his gun to take me down so now that I know he has them I can defend against them. Well, I still don't understand how he kept catching my hands. It was such a strange feeling. As if his hands were magnets and mine were small pieces of metal.
Was it just an illusion and he was just that skilled at predicting moves? He did mention that I was sloppy. Did he mean I was easy to predict when he said that? He also said he thought I would be faster. Did he think because I dodged a bullet I must have had super speed or something? Ahhh Dammit, I could do this all day!

"Are you alright? You've just been standing there for the last few seconds."
Oh, shit, "Umm sorry I was just thinking. I'm sorry Ma forget I asked about him... Oh um. I was wondering if you were still thinking about sending me to the facility. Do you still not trust me?"
Her face contorted with confusion, "Not trust you? What are you talking about? And I would never send you to a facility, you're my son."
"What! I thought... but you. I thought you were scared of me?"
"What on earth would give you that idea?"
"When we were in the hospital. You seemed scared of me; don't you remember? You didn't want to come near me."
Ma looked up into the air as if trying to recall the time. "I don't remember acting anything like that, but if I somehow gave you a reason to believe I was scared of you I'm sorry, you're my son and I would never be scared of you. What you did was a bit too excessive and I'm worried about you and how you're dealing with Tobie's death, but scared? No."
"Oh, ALRIGHT MA! WELL, I'M TIRED SO I'M GOING TO HEAD TO BED AND DON'T WORRY I ALREADY ATE." I took off, sprinting up the stairs and to my bedroom. I could hear a shocked sounding Ma in the distance.
"Wait, there's no reason to yell in the house I can hear you, and how are you still tired after taking a nap?"
I ignored her as I made my way to my bedroom, closing the door behind me. I must have slammed the door too hard because it kicked up something. And once in the air, it got in both my eyes... at the same time. Causing my eyes to water as I laid in my bed.
After my eyes had stopped watering I laid in my bed unable to go to sleep. My Ma was right I wasn't that tired. Something kept me up. I felt as if I was forgetting something.
"What the hell is it? So much has happened ever since the incident at school I can't keep up anymore. It's all that fucking 'THINGS' fault."
That's when it finally hit me. I had something to deal with before the wannabe agent, "...Her dad."
"What are you doing up so early?... Is there something outside?"
"Huh, oh hay Ma. I just figured I should start waking up earlier, I can't sleep in forever. Haha!"
"And you're looking out the window because?"
letting go of the blinds I was holding up I spun around realizing how strange I must look to her. "Oh, I was just watching the birds. I don't normally get to see them since I sleep in."
My Ma gave me a concerning look but she just shook it off, "Oh... Okay? Alright, I'm leaving for work now... Are you sure you're alright?"
"Haha, you don't have to worry about me just because I woke up early. Have a good day and be careful!" Shit, is the laughing overdoing it?
"..." Ma just thanked me and left for work seeming confused.
I can't blame her. I'm not sure how I should be acting right now either. On one hand, it could just be another bluff by that man. Although I will say his last bluff about my mother had some truth to it. On the other, I may have a crazed man trying to hunt me down. What the fuck am I supposed to do with that? I don't have the option to try and find him first if even the wannabe agent can't find him. So all I can fucking do is sit back and wait to be attacked!?
I open the blinds once more and look out into the yard. "Do we even have birds around the house?"

The Discarded
The Umbrae Lunae existed before man, beautiful abominations birthed in the nightmares of mad gods. They wait for humanity to misstep, for the angels to look away. For the moment when they can cloak the world in moon shadows once again. But even horrors have children. Even nightmares must feed. One child, unlike the others, finds his way to a school for young abominations. Will he be a sheep cast before the wolves, or a terror that wears the skin of wool to entice the wolf close? The flesh of his body was his only coin, strips cut to pay debts that never ended. Everyone has scars, stories in a life led, lessons learned, and licks taken. Luminous bodies touched by darkness. There are a cursed few that are the opposite, black shadows consumed by scars, twisted minds devoured by diseased hungers, bodies tortured misshapen works of gouged flesh, silver lines of blade thin cuts, ragged tears of teeth and glass. For them, the scars are marks of homecoming, the mangled wasteland the only place they feel at peace. Hell is a place. It's made of concrete, steel and glass. It's the sounds of starving kids crying themselves to sleep, huddling into small balls as creepers come and take their due of innocence and tender meat. It's eating rotten food and carrying ticks in your hair. It’s having no one and nothing while surrounded by everything. It's the life of a street kid. What abomination was birthed in the corrupt womb of man’s cast-off shit? Pretty people don't know the power of ugly. They can't see the strength in a broken soul or the power in a calloused heart. Those secrets are for the discarded alone. Only the broken understand the grace of darkness. The blessed folds that hide scars and tears, the protection of its concealing umbra.
