Zheng was busy with his new found knowledge about the system that he forgot about the remaining wolves!
One by one, each wolf woke up!
'Crap! This is bad!' Zheng found out that he was in a dire situation right now! No matter how he imagined it, he can never beat the combined forces of the wolves in his current state.
"1..2.....3.. 5!" Zheng counted the wolves in a frightened voiced.
Fortunately, the five wolves still not notice Zheng's presence. He turned around, not wasting any moment and ran with all his strength! He ignored his injured body and pushed himself to the limit. One thing that he thought was to be as far away as possible from the wolves.
*shh*
*shh*
*shh*
The five innocent wolves arrived at the huge stone and were horrified as the found their comrade's lifeless body.
"Awoooohhh!
"Awoooohhh!
"Awoooohhh!
"Awoooohhh!
"Awoooohhh!"
The sound of wolves rang out from the sky. They were enraged about their comrade's death.
One of the wolfs found a trail of blood on the grassy field and sniffed it. Its eyes intensified as it recognized the smell. It was a human's blood!
The wolf signaled the other and followed the trail of blood left behind by someone. They ran at full speed. Leaving their marks on the grassy field. Leaves scattered as they ran fast in the forest.
Minutes passed...
The five wolves found a man's figure in the distance.
'Growsllll' The wolf on the front howl with a furious expression on its face.
This particular wolf had a great tracking ability using his nose. It easily recognized the man using this ability!
The other wolves prepared themselves and picked up their pace.
*huff*
*huff*
Zheng breathes heavily as he ran inside the forest. The huge trees covered him by the sunlight. Blood continuously dropping from his body.

'I'm running out of oxygen. Is this the end for me?' Zheng stumbled in the nearby tree in exhaustion. His body is turning white. He lost so much blood in the course of his retreat. He used his left hand to support himself from falling.
'No, I need to continue.' Zheng cleared his thoughts and resumed his escaped. But Zheng remained calm despite the pain.
"Awoooohhh!"
Soon, Zheng turned his head as he heard unusual sound from the forest. A hundred meters away from him, Zheng saw the wolves charging towards him. Saliva was dripping from their mouth.
"Finally, you're all here."
But Zheng ignored them and continued.
Zheng was relaxed even in his current state.
There was no worry on his face but only a smile. 'A monster is a monster. You all fool. Your all dead now! Fuuufuu!'
Zheng reached a clearing on the forest and saw dirt from the ground.
Zheng jumped over the dirt and landed on the other side. Due to his injury, 'Crap!' Zheng landed using his body resulting in him lying on the ground facing the bluish sky.
He gritted his teeth in agony as lied on the ground.
Minutes later, the five wolves arrived at the clearing and found Zheng lying on the ground.
"Awooooo!"
"Awooooo!"
"Awooooo!"
"Arf!!Arf!!"
Zheng heard a powerful bellow that penetrated even to his soul.
The five wolves charged at Zheng without hesitation! Revenge and hatred filled their heart!
Zheng closed his eyes waiting for the wolves wrath on him.
He can't deny it.
He was the one who started this ruckus.
He was the one who killed their comrades first resulting them to retaliate.
"Arf!! Arf!!"
The ground shook as five wolves simultaneously charged at Zheng. But as soon as they finally approached him. An unknown thing happened.

The wolves were alarmed. But they later realized that something was amiss. Their eyes widened in shock.
The ground shook. The dirt was a trap set up by Zheng! These ferocious wolves fell on a pit. They instinctively leaped back, but their movements were too slow to react.
The five wolves were all stabbed by the wooden stick rooted at the bottom of the pit. A catastrophic damage befell on them.
Some of them were impaled on their chest. Some sharp objects were penetrated their whole body.
Zheng on the floor finally stood up and saw multiple notifications in his view.
"Critical! -12 damage"
"Critical! -11 damage"
"Critical! -8 damage"
"Critical! -12 damage"
"Critical! -10 damage"
"-6 damage"
"....."
"....."
"....."
"The plan went well" Zheng clapped and praised himself. There was a wide smile on his face. He approached the pit and watched the appearance of the five wolves.
While the wolves were sleeping, he used that opportunity to devised a plan and this pit was one of them.
Fortunately, Zheng was able to come this far. If not, Zheng will be dead by now. He planted the wooden stick he crafted beforehand on the bottom of the pit.
Zheng did this to avoid loopholes in his plan. Zheng believes that simply trapping the wolfs on the pit has no merit on it. So he devised a plan to make it worth.
The result was outstanding making Zheng happy.
He grabbed a wooden stick on his back which is longer than the first one and pierced the body of the struggling wolf.
"Critical! -12 damage"
The wolf winced in pain. The wolf struggled but soon died.
["You killed a level 4 Gray Wolf"]
["You received 750 experience points!"]
["Congratulations! You received more 550 experience points for killing the monster which is higher level than you"]
Zheng pierced the other one on its both eyes. Zheng gouged its eyeballs and fell on the other wolf's face.
["Congratulations! You received more 300 experience points for killing the monster which is higher level than you without receiving any damage!"]
Zheng was pleased. But instantly ignored the notification and continued his work.
The remaining wolf shared the same faith.
Unable to fight back due to the wooden sticks impaled on their body, they died a few minutes later.

Triquetra: A Multi-Class Isekai or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Accept the End of the Multiverse
Triquetra: An Multi-Class Isekei Adventure I know, I know, you have heard it all before. Yes I was hit by a truck. Yes I ended up in a Fantastical World suspiciously similar to one of my favorite RPG’s. Yes I had access to cheats no one else possessed. Yes it was a world of classes and levels and magic powers. Finally, yes I was an overweight middle-aged loser failing to live up to my potential. Given my eclectic reading habits I should have been better prepared. Unfortunately I was not. Sure I could multi-class with reduced penalties, but my starting class was Scholar! No combat abilities and very limited spellcasting. My HUD interface costs mana to use, and my universal translation seemed to be outsourced to Giggle Translate. I’m supposed to be an OP MC! Not a slice-o- life struggling to survive in the wilderness. Not to mention the Arch-Magus who summoned me, mistimed everything, I arrived 300 years too late, after the fall of the Empire I was supposed to save. The surviving remnants have devolved into Murder Hobos. What’s worse is that the Great Devourer, Ancient Calamity, and Spawn from the Void Beyond Time, Space, and Sanity is now aware of a new world to plunder, a world called Dirt! (Told you this translator sucks) Warning Extra Crunchy Authorial Vebosity! Lots of infodump in the early chapters, but I learn my lesson and it does get better, eventually. I do not own the Cover image, found it on a free image site.
