《Do The Wyrm》Chapter 0: Birth

He was a nightmare beyond all recognition. Many adventurers had been killed by his crushing teeth and deadly poison. He had once weaved togther the songs of a thousand mountains in perfect harmony. A thousand dungeons had fallen under his command. And for a time, even dragons had been cowed by his might.
That was a thousand lunar cycles ago, soon. The humans, dwarfs, elves, orcs, aties, and even the ever vigilent giants had forgotten him.
All of them had more pressing concerns, the humans, dwarfs, and elves had fought him for many moons. But they stopped as they began to grow accustomed to his presence. Now, only brave or idiotic adventurer's would come to slay him. That or the now rare gold-rank would let it all go to their head and attempt to kill the slumbering beast.
They tended to last slightly longer. But none of them could pass even his first floor.
The titan, no not a literal Titan. That slumbered beneath the mountain didn't care, he had often been annoyed by those 'heroes' and such whenever they tried to kill him. Disturbing his nap was meet with the death penalty. No other punishment was acceptable.
Still, he would've liked extra company whenever he did awake. It would make the process of giving birth less boring if there were stakes.
With a soft tone, he sang the eldritch song that unbeknownst to him. Had been given to the Mother of Earth by Loki, the Spider and Serpent.
He of course didn't exactly care all that much, and the knowledge wasn't worth the time it took to remember. But if he did know, it would make half of the insults yelled at him when he killed that foolish party a couple centuries ago make a lot more sense.
Such a thing didn't matter though. His song continued, uninterrupted as he sand. His voice sailed across the vast cavern in which he slept. Thousands of holes drilled deep in the ceiling and walls echoing his voice. Before drifting through small and smaller passage ways. New and old.

Natural and artificial, till it reached the surface. A small, slow, and uncomfortable hum as it flooded the air of the forests that surrounded the mountains in which he lay.
Thousands upon thousands of small stubby eggs soon emerged from the ground. Many in vibrant reds, deep purples, and soft blues and greens. A rainbow of color that shone in majesty equal to the great elven cities. the metropilis's of the dwarfs. And the capitals of humanity.
No, some particularly strange bards would say it surpassed these marvels.
As the unnatural song ended. The massive beast once known as the deep terror, the menance of the stone paths, and enemy of all dwarfs. Slept.
But the things he birthed would soon awake, filled with malice, kindness, and questions. A generation of enemies that would fell and be felled by many heroes and adventurers throughout the world was born. Matching the exact time a crowd of adventurers would flow throughout and around the entire charted and uncharted world.
So too would this date coencide with the summoning of devil kings, the birth of monster lords, the creation of dungeons, and a thousand other seeds of chaos.
Just like before, most would be forgotten. Only old tales and crippled elders remembering. Some would flicker ever-more from this tide. Becoming a new wave of legends.
And even fewer, would become something more.
But all these men and women and things beyond describing needed someone to spread their deeds. An equal of their own that would spread their achievements far and wide.
Maybe the bastard prince of a nation?
the lost herald of a dead god?
No.
It would be a monster.
A monster that just so happened woke up before the song of its father was finished.
And was able to hear its graceful melody, at least to it, and would forever seek to surpass and master such a song.
A Bard in soul.
A monster in body.
The dice has been rolled.
Let us see if it's a one?

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image

Trashy story ! v1.5
Author: I've made alot of mistakes in my plot, I've relied on force to do it naught. Where does quality go? When you give up patience for speed though? This is a story I will begin, Hopefully this will make your hearts sing! There's not much I do that is right, But I will enjoy writing it this night. So those of you who will cheer me on, Or not i'll be happy to sing you a song! A song in text! Wish me luck next! - authors (singular) Trashy story v1.5: starto! Serious synopsis: Hey everyone it's the author here (Not my character named "Author" or "Also author") I'd like to introduce to you my new book "Trashy story"! So you're proboaly wondering what this "Trashy story" is about, well wait no longer I shall tell you! (Or try to sound cool as I tell you nothing.) This story will be written entirely in poem style assides from the author notes (Which are in itself a out of character in character commentary of the story.) With this type of format I hope to talk about things which are commonly overlooked in novels, and or things which are blaringly obvious yet often ignored! In the earlier version of this novel I had gone over things such as how the conditions of a fantasy world may force bandits to do what they do, and also the effects of killing a leader will cause! Even if the leader is a tyrant a power vacuum makes life a living hell, and often more of a living hell than before. This story was written on qidian as well but I felt like I was rushing too much on the writing (As qidian is use to crazy release rates) so I hope to port it over to here as I rewrite problamatic chapters. Said chapters may be updated on qidian once I find a good foothold to improve the plot again. Well thankyou for reading this far down on the synopsis, I'm not sure why you've read so far down but thankyou! I hope you will enjoy "Trashy story" v1.5 as much as I enjoyed writing it! "Trashy story" v1.0 : 46 chapters (24 not counting side storys) "Trashy story" v1.5: rewrite starting at chapter 35 (21 not counting side storys) You may be wondering why half of the novels publication so far (as of writing this synopsis) is side story (Bleh... filler!) Well that is because the side stories are where I develop most of the world building. (They really are only called side stories because they follow the side characters and antagonist) Note: The origional novel (V.1) can be found on webnovel... Howeverrrrr I will reupload every "Okay" chapter up to the breakoff point here as well. Proof of me moving over to royal road (And not shamelessly stealing chapters) can be found in the latest chapter "Temporary haitus: Partial rewrite") V.1: Link V.1.5: You're looking at it (Well atleast I think you are!) (Hosted on royalroadl)
