《My Wonder System》Beast Attack

Marble Town had gone from a peaceful and lonely town into a desolate town where people were afraid of going out to do anything.
But it wasn't just Marble town, the whole world was in this state but Marble town was in the worst state among all other towns and cities due to it being the place where the problem emanated from.
Houses had been destroyed with dangerous beasts now roaming the streets of Marble town.
Many had lost their lives during the attack, they would have all lost their lives if it weren't for the arrival of the soldiers from Tron Ville's capital.
To kill the beasts they needed to shoot it as many times as possible so it would be an understatement to say that the guns were making little effect.
The soldiers couldn't really do much but they managed to buy some time to enable the people to flee to safety.
The people had relocated to another part of Marble Town which didn't have many people living there and was now living as refugees.
Among these refugees were Frank and his Mother, due to her mother's condition they were both given one tent to stay in.
Other kids had to share the tents with their mates and that was why you would find about four kids sleeping in one tent.
Frank wasn't really comfortable inside the tent with his mother but he always got better sleep than his mates who had to share with more people.
It had been about a week since they all started living here and they could say that life wasn't any easier on them now.
Frank got up in the middle of the night after trying to sleep several times with all his efforts proving futile.
He looked at his mother who was sleeping peacefully and then his eyes slowly went down to her leg which had a thick bandage wrapped around it.

'Why did all these have to start happening now?' Frank thought.
The day his mother had informed him of a very good news that would have benefited him dearly was the day everything started happening.
After rushing outside with his mother and confirming the situation they discovered that everyone was panicking and was in a dilemma.
Frank himself didn't know what to do as he found his legs already shaking but in the end, he was the one to snap everyone out of their daze.
"Everybody run!!!"
Without thinking twice about what the young boy had just said everyone took to their heels but it wasn't long before the horde of beasts caught up to them and started tearing to pieces the people closest to them.
This was one of the worst moments for Frank as he wasn't much of a runner but he was trying his best not to lose sight of his mother.
As the people kept running their number kept decreasing until only about a dozen of them were left.
One of the beasts jumped upfront and was about to pounce on him but by easily rolling out of the way he avoided it, he was about to continue running when he heard his mother scream behind him.
Frank quickly turned to see the beast in front of her mother blocking her way but fortunately for her it hadn't done anything yet.
Without thinking twice he picked up a stone and threw it at the beast, the stone was on target and hit the beast on its head.
The beast responded by hitting Jessica away with its paws as it turned to Frank with a growl.
Now looking at the beast directly Frank could make out what they looked like.
The beasts which had been chasing them were all wild cats except that these ones had darker skin than usual, were larger than the normal wild cat, had red menacing eyes and very long canines.

Frank was just glad that the other beasts had carried on chasing the others and didn't pay any attention to him and his mother as he was having a confrontation with this particular beast.
Frank was slowly stepping back as the beast came closer to him while growling angrily.
The beast got to a point and decided to pounce on him like it always did, but that wasn't going to work on someone with wonderful reflexes like Frank as he easily avoided the beast.
With the beast trying to regain its balance from the jump and miss, Frank hurried to check on his mother who happened to still be on the floor.
"Mom!" Frank quickly rushed to her.
"I'm okay Frank." She had been wincing in pain but on seeing Frank she tried to put up a smile.
"No, you are not." Frank knelt down beside her and started to inspect her body only to find out that her right leg was seriously bleeding.
Frank checked the leg to see that it had a deep wound occurring from her scratching her leg on a sharp rock when she was hit away by the beast.
Frank had become so worried about his mother's wound that he had forgotten about the beast that was slowly making its way to him but this time instead of being overly aggressive and growling it was creeping towards him, he was treating him like a very difficult prey to catch.
"This is very bad mom," Frank said.
He ripped off the sleeve of his cloth and was using it to cover the wound.
"I know." Jessica forced a smile she couldn't stand getting her son worried.
While Jessica was trying to endure the pain coming from Frank trying to tie up her wound she caught a glimpse of the beast that was about to pounce on him.
"Frank," Jessica said, tapping her son on the back.
"I'm almost done, mom." He replied without raising his head.
"It's not about that." She stuttered.
Frank paused what he was doing as he remembered the beast that was still around.
He quickly turned around to see the beast almost upon him but while the beast was in the air it was met with a bullet that hit it back and sent it tumbling.
This was the time the soldiers arrived and they were just in time to save Frank from his near death.
"Are you okay?" One of the men rushed to Frank and his mother.
The other soldiers continued shooting the beast which was struggling until it slumped dead.
"David, bring these two along with you, we are heading up front for the other ones." The captain of the troop said before heading out with the other soldiers.
David was the soldier that had shot the beast from afar and was now helping Jessica up.
He put Jessica's hand around his neck as the three-headed in the same direction as the other soldiers.
"Thank you," Jessica said.
"It's my duty mam," David said with a smile. "Now let's get both of you somewhere safe."
Before leaving with David and his mother Frank felt something, he turned back and looked towards the woods to see a dark human figure standing there, he couldn't exactly make out the person because he was far away.
'You will lead me to the rest.' He heard a voice say in his mind.
