《An Enchanter's Tale》Chapter 50 – Find a Female Fox

“How long are we going to wait here? Shouldn't we make a move?” A man in a red sleeveless robe asks as he leans against a tree trunk. He looks across at the man taking a nap on the tree trunk and rolls his eyes.
“Why make the effort?” The man with the sackcloth pants and ragged green shirt asks back before crossing his legs and letting out a yawn. “It's just killing a puny expert level cultivator. We should take full advantage of this chance while we can. The more sleep I get, the better.” The man responds before lifting his shirt to rub his belly, smudging his skin with the dirt from his palms.
The sleeveless man grimaces at the sight before looking away. “It's been longer than a week. Don't you think we've been milking this for too long?” He asks before taking another peak at the dirt-smudged man.
“I don't know; maybe,” the man says nonchalantly before rubbing his belly again. “Man, I'm hungry. Do we still have any food left?” He asks, responding to the grumbling in his stomach.
The other man laughs. “We ran out of food days ago, but you insisted we continue to wait. Do you want to go look for some food? I'm getting a little bored,” He says before letting out a yawn. “Or if you really wanted to get dirty…” He says with mischievous grin before being interrupted.
The man in rags sits up and raises a finger. “Shut up for a moment,” He says before extending his cultivation energy outside of his body and feeling the vibrations in the air. “He's getting up,” he says before closing his eyes and focusing, working hard to translate the noise he was hearing.

The other man could only roll his eyes and let the man with the green shirt work.
The cultivation energy has finally settled. There isn't much use in staying here any longer. And you're getting a little fat from all the monster hunting; we should probably get out of here before we suck this place dry. *laughter*
Don't be that way. We have responsibilities waiting for us back home.
Sure, sure, all the food you want.
“Damn it; we have to make our move,” The man in the ragged shirt says with a sigh before forcing himself up.
“Fuckin' finally,” The red-robed man says as he stands up to stretch his legs.
…
…
Frey had spent the last few weeks to settle his cultivation energy. It was a result of having forcefully broken through to the master level of cultivation.
His cultivation energy was erratic and unruly for weeks; and he struggled to use it properly. Frey decided to let the energy flow as it willed, while studying it and trying to understand it. Eventually he made a connection, and after some push and pull with the energy, they were once again living in harmony.
But Frey had spent much too long lingering in the forest; he had to go back home.
He had already neglected his duties by going on this journey and now… There's probably a lot of work waiting for me, Frey thinks with a sigh. “Come on, boy. Let's blow this joint.” He says before starting his journey to get back home.
The sound of happy yips follows and the meter tall red fox darts forward and begins to zigzag across the forest as he waits for Frey.
“Yeah, yeah,” Frey says with a tired wave. “Damn, you have a lot of energy. We might have to find a female fox to calm you down, or we could…” Frey says before making a snipping motion with his fingers.
The fox instantly settles down and stares at Frey, before letting out a howl of rebellion and darting further into the forest.
Frey lets out a laugh and runs forward in an attempt to keep pace with the excitable fox.

Glitched! Uplift Arc
[Winner of the April 22 Royal Road Writathon Challenge] In 2202 the System reached Earth. Thankfully it had learnt from previous uplifts and implemented an introductory arc to acclimatise the new participants rather than chucking them in the deep end. The previous practice of just dumping unsuspecting beings into a System designed for the growth of the multiverse had led to catastrophic and sub-optimal results. The return on investment was abysmal. That old trope was so over-cooked - after nearly extinguishing itself through negative returns new policy was required. That was 356 trillion local years back. Now over 5600 successful uplifts had joined the ranks of the multiverse. But the System was always learning, always growing. Still there were glitches. Mostly minor. Mere irritants really. Sometimes even they were catalysts, triggering a fresh expansion. Soon the System would understand why. Our Earth was 7912th. - Ascend - Battle - Challenge - Dominate - Expand - Gro... - Glor... - Where’s the eff word? - Glitch... File corrupted. ---END SYN---

I'm just an 'Ordinary' Human (MCU fanfic)
A guy gets hit by a truck and sent to a fantasy world with less power than your average peasant. (Un)fortunately, he discovered his secret power of Immortality at the hands of the current destroy-the-world inclined Demon Lord and becomes experimental subject #1. After hundreds of years, the Demon Lord is killed and the job of destruction was handed to him. Being not terribly favorably inclined to this fantasy world, he wreaks havoc on the world... Killing sacred beasts, massacring cities with an army of undead, headhunting servants of God, plaguing a whole continent with a deadly virus. But he was still unsatisfied.During an experiment, he accidentally killed himself trying to open a gateway to a new world. And wakes up from his coma in his original world. Except, it isn't his world, exactly. Now there is a man in a metal suit, a 90-years old buff dude with a shield, a muscle head demi-god and other weirdos who formed a team called the ‘Avengers’. None of that matters though, because he is so over all that drama. This life is going to be carefree. Or at least, that's the plan. Note: The 4th wall is thin on this one, so the MC often breaks it. As this is fanfiction, I will make sure to follow the "Fair use" clause of the Copyright law. Please support this on its original website too, Webnovel.
