“Here we are…” ♛ thought, she stood outside the huge metal doors which led to the next boss in the dungeon, the skeletal serpent itself.
“JohnWillStab: Half way there!” he remarked with a satisfied smile.
After slaying two difficult bosses already, the feeling of working towards clearing a dangerous lair of monster began to build up in his mind.
“Bonifacius: Indeed!”
“♛: We should rest up, this boss will have us running all over the place,” she replied.
“XxFoxlyxX: Why? Our mana and stamina look fine…”
“XxFoxlyxX: Didn’t you want to hurry up and finish this dungeon?” he asked.
♛ breathed a sigh.
“♛: Yeah, well that was then, Foxly!” she exclaimed with a palpable feeling of distaste at the mention of his name.
While they talked, John and Bonifacius watched from a distance.
“JohnWillStab: Looks like they’ll be arguing for a while…” he said, stretching his back.
Bonifacius sat down on the ground.
“Bonifacius: Tis true, though it seems both of them seem to have gotten quite invested in this dungeon!” he remarked.
“JohnWillStab: Yeah, dungeons are fun, though if we had a fifth member it’d probably be easier!” he remarked.
“Bonifacius: Fear not, JohnWillStab! We shall most certainly gain more acquaintances in the future!” he assured.
John nodded.
“JohnWillStab: In any case, I’m gonna go take a piss, I’ll be back in a bit.”
Bonifacius shot him a thumbs up.
“Bonifacius: Good luck!”
Uncertainly, John nodded and left to water his toilet, when he returned, XxFoxlyxX, ♛ and Bonifacius stood outside the now-opened gate.
“JohnWillStab: I’m back!”
“Bonifacius: Great! Are thou ready to attack the next boss?” he asked.
John nodded.
“XxFoxlyxX: Let’s get going then!” he exclaimed.
“♛: Hold on.” She began.
Everybody turned to face their healer.
“JohnWillStab: What’s up?”
“♛: The next boss, the room will randomly generate a maze for us to travel through, the skele-snake will be chasing us through there,”
“♛: The only way to kill it is to make it bite itself, that’s easier said than done, though…”
Bonifacius nodded.
♛ was starting to have doubts about her plan.
“Should I really screw them over with the glitch?” she wondered.
“Hey! What the fuck am I saying!? Of course I should!”
“Ah… but two of them seemed pretty nice…”
“Don’t get fooled! No going back now!”
“♛: Alright, that’s all!”
“Bonifacius: Many thanks! Now we can face the boss with confidence!” he exclaimed before taking the first steps into the boss room.
“♛: Sure…”
The cold, dark corridors were lit only with the sickly, blue flames of the large lamps that were attached to the walls with oversized, rusty, metal bolts.
Loud footsteps could be heard running through followed by even louder rumbling.
The dusty floor tiles were bigger than a person laying on the ground with their arms and legs spread apart.

Through the seemingly unending network of tunnels sped the group of four.
In the very front of the group was a large, well-built human clad in shining armour fit for a fantastical knight.
In the centre stood the pale, ghostly human.
Behind them ran two frogpeople, one a seal-type magician and the other a druid.
“JohnWillStab: Anybody else feeling a weird sense of Déjà vu?” he asked as the massive moss-coated skull of the skeleton snake dragged its bony body along the long, stone corridor.
“♛: WHERE THE F#*K IS YOUR PLAN, MISTER STRATEGIST?!” she demanded, they’ve been running around the whole labyrinth for twenty minutes already.
“JohnWillStab: I’m working on it…”
“XxFoxlyxX: You have infinite stamina! We don’t!” cried the sweat-covered frog, barely keeping up with the other party members.
Exhausted, ♛ cast the levitation ability on herself causing her character to remain above the ground at the cost of her mana.
Bonifacius was the one running in second place behind John.
“Bonifacius: What exactly is thy plan?”
“JohnWillStab: The solution is to make the boss bite itself, right? So, I’m mapping out the dungeon layout!” he explained.
“♛: Why didn’t you just say that before?!” she demanded.
“JohnWillStab: You didn’t ask…” he shrugged.
♛ was once again contemplating skinning John alive.
“JohnWillStab: It looks like this entire maze is on a big grid… like the walls are just big stone cubes, lined up next to each other to make the long walls!”
♛ looked around and saw that John’s theory was most likely correct, the walls had clear marks where they were split from one another.
From the looks of it, they were about two meters long on ever side.
“♛: Even if you’re right, how will that help?” she asked.
“JohnWillStab: I’ve been keeping tracks of this, the whole arena is exactly 20 cubes on each side!”
“JohnWillStab: That means there are 40 cubes on this map!”
“♛: …”
“♛: I hope the snake eats you.”
“JohnWillStab: Don’t bring Jörmungandr into this!”
“♛: YOU KNOW ABOUT THE WORLD SERPENT, BUT NOT HOW TO SQUARE A F#*KING NUMBER?!” she demanded, uncertain of how John managed to find the ö character so quickly.
“JohnWillStab: Oh great… more squares…” he sighed.
“JohnWillStab: Wait, aren’t these cubes? Not squares?”
“♛: YES BUT THIS ARENA IS ONE-BLOCK HIGH!” her blood was steadily beginning to boil.
“JohnWillStab: So…?”
“♛: I am… so done… with you…”
“XxFoxlyxX: COULD YOU STOP ARGUING FOR FIVE F#*#KING MINUTES AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE MASSIVE F#*KING SLELETON BEHIND US!?” he demanded, gesturing to the serpent behind them.
“♛: THE WORLD DOESN’T REVOLVE AROUND YOUR SKELE-SNAKE, FOXLY!”
As the group continued to run, they noticed a dead-end before them.
“JohnWillStab: S#*T!” he cursed upon seeing their death by undead-reptile rapidly approaching.
“XxFoxlyxX: You’ve got to be almost done with the map at this point, right?” he asked nervously.

“JohnWillStab: Yeah, I’ve literally just finished it!” he explained.
“XxFoxlyxX: Then f#*king hurry and kill it!” he said stopping in his tracks as the boss rammed into him.
The moment it made contact with Foxly’s character, it began to feed upon his flesh.
“(Dead)XxFoxlyxX: Hurry up! It’ll be busy eating me for a few seconds!”
“Bonifacius: THY SACRIFICE SHAN’T BE IN VAIN!” he exclaimed grabbing ♛ and JohnWillStab before running past the preoccupied boss.
“Bonifacius: This way we shall move faster! JohnWillStab, give me directions if thou could!” he exclaimed.
John nodded.
“JohnWillStab: Right! Go Right!” he exclaimed uncertainly.
Bonifacius did as commanded, swiftly they made their way through the maze with only John’s alleged plan to go off of.
“JohnWillStab: LEFT!”
The entire time, the snake was nowhere to be seen, it was almost two minutes before anybody noticed the boss appear from the darkness.
“JohnWillStab: OK! Left!”
“JohnWillStab: Right!”
As they quickly turned and kept running, the snake rammed its skull into the stone wall, the impact temporarily slowed its movements as the group made some further progress in the maze.
They remained near the snake as they coiled and twisted its body between the walls of the dungeon.
As Bonifacius made a turn right he spotted the mid-section of the skeleton ahead of them as well as a small one-block pocket on the right.
If they were too low, the skeleton was sure to have them cornered.
“JohnWillStab: RIGHT!”
Bonifacius practically jumped to the side as both he and his two party members landed on the stone tiles making up the small refuge they found themselves in.
Like a train, the skeleton serpent’s skull rammed into its body shattering it as the cursed lights in its eyes went out.
“JohnWillStab: WE DID IT!”
“(Dead)XxFoxlyxX: Woo-hoo!”
“Bonifacius: Twas a difficult fight, but all of thee have done great!” he exclaimed looking to his party members.
Conflicted, ♛ remained silent.
“Bonifacius: Come now! We still have one fiend to slay!”
As the group made their way to the large metal door leading to the final quarter of the dungeon, ♛ became filled with all sorts of doubts about her plan.
“Is this really going to work out? I mean they could just log out…”
“I mean, who’d take a stupid fucking game so seriously…”
“Bonifacius: How odd… the door seems to be closed…” he remarked, scratching his head.
“XxFoxlyxX: Maybe the dungeon bugged out?” he speculated.
“JohnWillStab: Did we miss a button or lever or something? Maybe that was the challenge and we didn’t have to actually kill the boss!” he speculated.
“Bonifacius: Perhaps! Let’s go search for the mysterious button!”
“XxFoxlyxX: Hold up, what about the loot?”
“JohnWillStab: Oh yeah, I totally forgot, since you always grab it first!” he laughed.
“Bonifacius: Tis true, even I forgot!” he agreed.
“XxFoxlyxX: Hey! Stop making me sound so greedy!”
“XxFoxlyxX: Back me up here, cheater!” he exclaimed turning towards ♛.
“Bonifacius: Making thou out to be greedy was not my intention! I swear!” he assured Foxly.
Suddenly the door opened as ♛ selected it and used her cheats to toggle the “Open” variable to true.
“JohnWillStab: It’s open!”
“XxFoxlyxX: We still do need to get the loot…” he reminded.
“JohnWillStab: Of course you’d say that!”
“XxFoxlyxX: Come on, man! Loot is like three-quarters of the reason we’re here!”
“♛: I was just glitched, I fixed it now,”
“Bonifacius: Thou have our thanks! We may have been doomed without thee!”
“JohnWillStab: Yeah, thanks!”
“XxFoxlyxX: I guess…” he said begrudgingly as he headed back to the corpse of the boss.
She modified her levitation skill, her character began moving higher and higher.
“♛: Oh no, what’s going on?!” she demanded, hoping to look convincing.
“♛: It looks like the jGuardians have cracked down on my cheats, oh well, guess it’s for the best, don’t look for me, bye.” She said before disappearing with a puff of smoke, teleporting to a hideout in northern Arlepia.
Everyone stared at the unconvincing performance in stunned silence as her name disappeared from the party.
“XxFoxlyxX: …”
“JohnWillStab: …”
“Bonifacius: …”
The group didn’t say anything expect “…” for a few seconds.
“XxFoxlyxX: What the f#*k was that?” he finally demanded.
“JohnWillStab: SHE WAS KIDNAPPED BY THE JGUARDIANS!”
Foxly turned towards John with a wry expression.
“XxFoxlyxX: You bought that?“
Bonifacius: THOSE SPINELESS BARBARIANS LACKED THE COURAGE TO FACE HER IN HONEST COMBAT!” he exclaimed clenching his fists.
“XxFoxlyxX: NOT YOU TOO!” he cried.
Bonifacius holstered his weapons and turned away from the final boss’ door.
“Bonifacius: I shall go right this wrong, thou can wait here, I shall be back soon!” he exclaimed with a thumbs up.
“JohnWillStab: No way, man! If this turns into a fight, my strategy might come in handy! Plus, I imagine whatever is going to happen is going to be interesting!” he exclaimed before following Bonifacius.
“JohnWillStab: You keep an eye on the dungeon!” he said shooting Foxly a thumbs up.
XxFoxlyxX breathed an irritated sigh.
“XxFoxlyxX: I’m not paying for my internet connection to stand around in an empty dungeon, I’m coming with you guys!”
“Bonifacius: Thou should know, if all members of a party leave the dungeon, our progress shall be reset!” he warned.
John shrugged.
“JohnWillStab: So, what? we can always give it a shot again in the future, right?” he replied.
Bonifacius nodded.
“Bonifacius: Indeed! We shall complete this dungeon as a party or not at all!” he said before making his way towards the dungeon’s entrance.
