《Path of the Lilies》29. You are Not Qualified

Two people walked into the training camp, one young man and one little girl. The soldiers quickly salute the two of them when they passed while Mu Hong only nodded his head slightly. As a general with high position, he didn’t have to bow down or saluted this young master and young miss.
The one who shouted was the girl, Wei Mi. “General Mu, what’s this trash doing here?”
“Young Miss of Wei Family, she sneaks inside just now,” Mu Hong replied truthfully. His face remained stoic without any ripple of emotion.
“Oh,” the young man with gray robe, Wei Cheng, arched his eyebrow. “It seems that this place has severe lack in security for even a trash can get in.”
“You should discuss it with your father,” Mu Hong replied somberly.
Wei Cheng harrumphed in annoyance. He didn’t really like Mu Hong because of how this general behaves. However, as one of the most accomplished general after his father in this kingdom, Mu Hong has high position that even the King respected. He had no choice but to keep his real feeling under warp when meeting with Mu Hong.
Ye Jiao watched the two of them warily. She still remembered her last encounter with them. Wei Cheng used his power to severely restrain her because he had formed his core. Now, several weeks after that incident, she was pretty sure that Wei Cheng had started to consolidate his power.
Should she run?
But if she used the same way to return back, they would know how she could come here. If they cut down the tree, she would never be able to come here again in the future and would forever be confined in that suffocating residence.
“May I ask what is Young Master of Wei Family’s intention in coming here?” Mu Hong asked in polite yet not really tone.

Wei Cheng patted his sword on his hips. “I have consolidated most part of my core, so it’s time for me to start training on how to use my sword. My father wants me to come training in the training camp starting today.”
“If you want to train, you should go to the youth division and not here. I don’t accept children.”
Even though Wei Cheng came here with the purpose of asking Mu Hong to train him, he didn’t really have much hope. His father had told him that Mu Hong was someone with a lot of pride and strict discipline to follow the rule. Accepting children below the age of 15 was out of the question, which was the reason his soldiers mostly formed of second rank to third rank.
However, not all of them were training in this training camp. Only the elites trained under Mu Hong directly while the rest was handled by his subordinates.
“I see,” Wei Cheng put on a smile on his face yet his eyes showed no mirth. “I understand, General Mu. I’ll come to the youth division after I finish dealing with this trash.”
Mu Hong noticed the hostile tone that Wei Cheng used whenever he mentioned Ye Jiao. He was not sure of their relationship, but one glance was what he needed to tell that they didn’t have good relationship.
If they tried to fight right here, he would stop them because the rule prohibited real fight if it was not a spar. But if Wei Cheng just used his power to suppress Ye Jiao, he couldn’t do anything. Protecting this little girl was clearly out of the question because he didn’t want to delve into more troubles because of the bad relationship between Ye and Wei Family.
“I won’t stop you, but you have to abide the rules.”

Wei Cheng smiled. It was just like what his father said, Mu Hong was a stuck-up general who followed after rules strictly. Of course, if it was real war, there was no such thing called rule.
All is fair in the war.
“Trash, did you forget what I tell you not long ago?” Wei Cheng asked in an arrogant tone.
Ye Jiao gritted her teeth. She didn’t forget. This young man had purposely come to find her just to tell her that she didn’t have any position in Wei Family. Because of her so-called low position, she had to bow down in front of them.
But she didn’t want to.
Why should she bow down in front of this annoying young man and girl? Just because of her low position, it meant that she could be bullied every single time?
“Ge ge,” Wei Mi called. “She’s not just a trash, but also very stupid. It seems that you have to remind her again.”
Wei Cheng shrugged. In the next second, he emitted out his Eon Energy. Although his control was exceptionally bad, it was more than enough to put pressure. Still, this was not really a good practice for someone who had just formed his core because it would require excessive amount, which meant that he couldn’t hold out for long.
Ye Jiao’s body felt like it was hammered down to the ground. She gritted her teeth as she realized that the pressure from Wei Cheng was much higher than before. It felt as if he wanted to crush her bone.
“Kneel down!” Wei Cheng ordered.
Even under the pressure, Ye Jiao didn’t wish to kneel in front of this young man. Pushing her body’s strength to the limit by circulating her Eon Energy, she stood there. Her legs were shaking, but her eyes showed nothing but determination.
From the side, Mu Hong watched everything in silence. As Eon Energy Master rank 3, he has sharper sense than these children. He could sense the faint sense of threat coming from Ye Jiao’s eyes. Her eyes seemed to be filled with resolution and unwillingness, much more than before.
‘There’s a sense of chills coming from her.’
This level of threat wouldn’t be able to do anything to him, but he really didn’t understand. How come a young girl who hadn’t formed her core was able to emit pressure that sent fear? It was faint, but it was clearly there.
“She’s stubborn, Ge,” Wei Mi frowned.
Wei Cheng nodded and added more power. His back has started to be filled with sweat because he had used up a lot of Eon Energy just to try suppressing the girl.
This time, Ye Jiao’s body was unable to hold on. Her legs trembled before she fell down to the ground. Her two hands propped her body from slamming down to the ground as the pressure seemed to increase on her back.
We Cheng harrumphed. “That’s far better.”
Ye Jiao gnashed her teeth as she looked to the ground. She was unwilling to be in this position, being pressure by others without the ability to fight back. It was so infuriating.
“Kick her out,” Wei Cheng said as he retracted his Eon Energy. His core has used up more than half of his Eon Energy. As he had just recently formed his core, he couldn’t use it properly other than pushing it out recklessly in the form of aura. “A trash like her is not qualified to be here.”
With that, the two siblings walked away to find the youth division.

He murmured, his lips only inches from my own.I blinked, my lips parting, as his heady scent encircled me. He licked his lower lip, running his teeth over it as his electric blue eyes burned into mine. The heat of his bare chest seeped through my thin cotton shirt, thawing my icy irritation."Even when you're being cross." He added in a low voice. He leaned closer, before I could respond, and ran his teeth along my jaw.I suppressed a moan. "I wouldn't be cross if you weren't so keen on irritating me." I said, unable to hide the smile in my voice.I felt his answering smile against my neck. "How can I make it up to you?" He whispered, planting gentle kisses up and down the column of my throat. He moved to the other side of my neck, flicking his tongue once against the mating mark near my shoulder. My hands slid up his abdomen, exploring the dips and hard lines of his muscles. Heat uncurled deep in my belly, spreading lower, and lower, until I felt my panties dampen.
