Please be aware that some tags may be added along the story, but fret not! They won't affect the story! You won't even know it's there! Other than that, if you do have any thoughts about the story, please keyboard it down. I know I don't have the longest chapters in the world, or the fastest updates, and I do know that this is a rather short chapter, but it's all the quality that I want to deliver. Hope y'all enjoy the chapter! (Though as short as it may be) ;-)
~ Earth, Somnium Lab, 3666
On a particular day of the year…
“Ares! Are you ready? It's going to start in just a few minutes!”
“Alright! I'm almost done! I'm just not used to wearing these suits!”
Why do we have to wear suits anyway? I know it's a thousand year old tradition, but still! We are scientists and researchers, shouldn't we appear in our working attire, especially for an event like this?
Opfh- Aph is going to get real angry if I contemplate any further. I quickly fastened my belt and did a last swipe across my smooth, glossy hair as I stepped out of the toilet.
Aph scanned my body, then her eyes stopped on my necktie, pushing it up until I almost choked.
Afterwards, she gave a last scan before dragging me to the main lab, the large lab where the main event is held.
“Let's give a huge welcome to Mr. Ares, who shall give the opening speech.”
The crowd exploded in applause, all the eyes looking at me and reporter bots turned all their cameras to me in sync.
Hoo… haa… hoo… haa… take a deep breath… it's all going to be fine…
I walked up the stage to the podium, which is just in front of a large mechanical robot hanging from the roof. That's the main body of our creation, Earth. It's turned off and still, but today shall be his first day of operation in the real world.

I turned back to face the daunting crowd. Silence... but anticipation and suspense grew in the air. I am his father, I shall not give shame to Earth!
“H-hello everybody, g-guests from all over the w-world.”, I gulped. Aph was already facepalming.
I gulped again. “W-we, the researchers and scientists of Somnium Lab, a-are very honoured to have s-such guests for this fateful e-event.”
Small bits of laughter can be heard from the crowd, and Aph was almost already cowering in shame. She swiped her hands, signalling me to go to the next part.
I took another deep breath and tried to believe in myself. Afterall, this is our creation and I should be proud of him. In fact, I can say without a doubt that I am most proud of him.
“A-alright, we will skip the introductions and get to the main event.”
I got ready as everybody fell silent and watches in anticipation. Even a slight coat shrug could be heard from across the room. The reporter bots were very focused at this critical moment. However, the ones that were the most excited and sitting at the front rows are our own researchers and scientists.
I walked to the center of the stage where there is a control panel, and everybody watched as I pressed the large, green “ON” button.
And… nothing happened.
The anticipation grew to an all-time high, and people started to whisper and talk about how Earth was not working… though I knew it was all part of the plan- no, a prank of Earth.
I clenched my teeth as I tried to keep my face straight, and all of our scientists and researchers already knew what was going on through the many virtual simulations that we ran.
Unable to take the joke anymore, one of the critics was going to stand up from his seat ready to launch his barrage of skeptical, biased remarks at us and the lab.

All of a sudden, the lights flickered for a bit, before completely shutting down and turning the whole lab pitch black.
...
“BOO!”
Out of the blue, the lights turned on as the sound resonated through the hallways and boomed through the main lab. Earth’s large main body had moved up to the crowd, catching the reporter bots, the guests and the critics off-guard, some people even fell of the seats, especially the critic that stood up. The reporter bots had fell on their backs from the shock, and were struggling to get back on their feet.
I’ll bet on my ten dollars that everybody else on this world watching this event fell off their seats too.
And thus, by the prank that shook the whole world, Earth, the most advanced A.I. ever created was introduced to the world.

Gaijin
Gaijin means outsider or foreigner. That goes doubly so for David Wyatt after he found himself in a world being chased by something that looked eerily like a stereotypical Japanese Oni. Now, he has to figure out how he can find his place in a world where most people dislike him on principle. At least everything is also out to eat him in some way… wait, that’s a not a positive. This is a Eastern Fantasy GameLit story. It is primarily told from the main character's perspective with the very common trope of an isekai. There will be my own spin on things, so facts I pull from eastern mythology and legends will be drastically different in some aspects. In the end, this story is just for your and my enjoyment. There will be guaranteed chapters every Friday at 15:00 CST, and I will randomly post chapters at other times when I get in the mood for writing or when I like a particular scene.

Second Wind, legend of Pandemonium (Finished/Incomplete)
The developers of the worlds leading VRMMORPG Edge Online have decided to shut down its servers after over a decade. Shugireth Darkstar, the leader of Pandemonium, Edge Online's top guild, suffers from a deadly disease and his end is near. He hasn't left his VR pod for 5 years, as the medical nanodroids at the hospital takes care of him. Without Edge, he will die, because his physical body has already been all but destroyed by the sickness. Seeing no light at the end of the tunnel, Shugireth Darkstar, the Master of Pandemonium, stubbornly stays behind as the servers shut down... If that was all, we could end this story right here. However, that was only the beginning of the legend of pandemonium. The prelude to the movement, if you will. Shall we see what happens next? -------------- Some notes from Me (The author, gasp surprise): I first wrote this (100k) as an experiment. I saw the advice about having foils for overpowered MCs, and I watched quite a few lectures on writing. I wanted to test things out for myself and see if I could carry a story through other ways than only relying on physical conflict like some thrillers do. Thus this might lean a bit towards slice of life with a romance subplot, but I don't want to give my story away so read it if u want to know more. This was basically never intended for anyone else's eyes but my own, and written to explore writing as a process. This wasn't my attempt at writing a good book, but it turned into something that I think might interest some people, so I decided to pop it up here. It is slightly old so my style and writing skills have advanced considerably since I first started this thing. Having said that, I think it's pretty readable, but I am very interested in how other people will receive this. Please feel free to criticize it and just in general shoot me some feedback on what you think. It contains light Litrpg elements, not heavy table spam, it's just the basis of the world. Although I like that sort of thing, this was written before I even knew of Royalroad and hadn't considered litrpg much. Some of you may recognize that it was slightly inspired by Overlord. Also, the Tags for sexual content and traumatizing content are there as a precaution on all of my stories pretty much, even if my story does not contain any of that at the moment. I can't really know what the future will bring, but in the case of this story I do know a little bit, since I wrote 100k words before posting it here. And I just posted it on a whim because I figured some readers on Royalroad might enjoy this story.
