Richard walked around the city, searching for the herbalist. Finding him, he learned how to properly pick herbs by spending one silver coin and left the city. He spent the next eight hours killing and scavenging the bats. In those eight hours, he had killed and scavenged thirty-eight bats which also levelled him up to .
Returning back to the city, he went to the cook, the alchemist and the enchanter, selling the bat's meat, ears, noses and bones to them, and making him gold and nine silver coins. Afterwards, he walked into the blacksmith's – Lazarus' building and saw Lazarus sitting behind the counter with crossed arms.
"You are here," Lazarus said.
"Is it ready?" Richard asked as he began walking up to the counter.
"Yeah, let me get it."
Lazarus stood up and walked through the door which was behind the counter. It led into the part of the blacksmith's building where the forge was located.
A few seconds passed and Richard stopped in front of the counter.
Another second passed and Lazarus walked out with a pitch-black two-handed sword with strange red markings in his right hand and a sheath in his left hand. He placed them both side-by-side on the counter.
"Here it is. The sword – 'midnight', the best rare two-handed sword, you will ever lay your eyes on."
Richard focused on it and text appeared above it.
"Huh? I thought that only artefact and ancient grade items could grow together with the user," he thought.
"Fifty silver coins and the sword is yours."
Richard raised his eyes from the sword.
"I have teeth and claws from thirty-eight bats, interested?"
"I will take them for seventy-six silver coins. But that is that, and this is this. Fifty silver coins, pay up."

Richard pulled out fifty silver coins and gave them to Lazarus.
Lazarus smiled
"The sword is now yours."
Richard took the 'midnight's' sheath and threw it on his back. Then, he took 'midnight' and sheathed it in its sheath.
Notification messages started flashing.
"I don't need that many weapons. At most two, one for close combat and another for mid-range and long-range combat," he thought.
He pulled out the bat's claws and teeth and placed them on the counter and Lazarus gave him seventy-six silver coins.
Richard pulled out fifty silver coins and placed them on the counter.
"Forge me a rare spear."
"Six hours and it will be ready."
"Alright."
He walked out of the blacksmith's building. Then, he unequipped the one-handed sword – 'Vampire's Sword' and walked over to the middle-aged man who asked him to collect the ten bat pelts. He pulled out all thirty-eight bat pelts that he scavenged and gave them to the man.
"That's almost four times the pelts I asked you to gather!"
The middle-aged vampire man bowed his head.
"Thank you very much!"
Notification messages started flashing.
"I received more experience than it said it would give me," Richard thought.
"Adventurer, I am really ashamed to ask you of this. But could you bring me wolf pets for me as well? I need at least ten."
"Not that I can refuse," Richard thought and said, "Alright."
"Thank you very much," the middle-aged vampire man said as he bowed his head.
Walking away from the man, Richard allocated his attribute points like before, by putting three points into strength, dexterity, intellect, vitality and charisma.
He left the city and spent eight hours collecting the flowers – 'nights' and he collected eighty of them.

Returning to the city, he walked over to the middle-aged woman who asked him to collect the flowers – 'nights' and gave her all eighty ‘nights’ that he gathered.
"This…" the middle-aged woman said as she stared at the flowers with a shocked expression on her face.
A few notification messages flashed.
"Thank you very much," she said as she bowed her head.
"If there isn't anything else, I am going to go."
"Thank you very much," she said as she once again bowed her head.
Walking away from her, Richard opened the menu and his character.
He allocated one attribute point into strength, dexterity, intellect, vitality and charisma, and looked over his changed attributes.
He closed his character window and opened the menu. He focused on the talents button and a window opened. In this window, there were three boxes. One, on the left side of the window. One, on the right side of the window. And the last one, between the boxes that were on the left and the right sides of the window. All three boxes contained a few lines of text within them.
He first moved his eyes to the first box which was on the left side of the window and which contained the following text.
Reading this text, Richard frowned and spat in disgust as the part of history which told him just how true vampires had lost their purity, floated up in his head.
From the early to the mid-years of the continent, the true werebeasts raped all the true vampire women they came across. And what came of it, were the first generation vampires and werebeasts. And from the mid to late years of the continent, the werebeasts continued the tradition, raping all the vampire women they came across and creating the second, the third, the fourth and so on generations of werebeasts and vampires.
In the world of today, in the Valiria Realm Of The Eternal Night, there were barely any of the true vampires or the true werebeasts left.
"True werebeasts and werebeasts are a bunch of dogs that need to be put down!" he thought.
He moved his eyes to the second box which was on the right side of the window and which contained the following text.
Reading this text, he once again spat in disgust and moved his eyes to the third box which was between the first and the second boxes and which contained the following text.
Reading this text, he spat in disgust for the third time and focused on the box. A few notification messages flashed.

The fallen (?) hero and Aži Dahāka's soul fragment
I have to apologize.A certain real life problem that I thought I got rid of has caught up to me once again.I tried to continue writing, but my mind was not in the right track to do so and thus, as some people had said, the quality of the latest 2 chapters had turned from the usual "bad" to "worst". So, I reluctantly have to say that I will be away until I can sort things out.I can't say when, but I do intend to return to writing. I might lurk around to read other people's works though. I will be turning my attention to stories with "tragedy" and "despair". The five of us were summoned to this world from our clubroom two years ago to be made as heroes.Shouldn't forceful summoning like that be counted as kidnapping?Well, we chose to go with the heroes route. After harsh training and battles, not to mention all the killings, we finally defeated the demon lord. However, all those achievements literally became nothing, it wasn't just forgotten, it was erased to be totally nothing as even the written records were somehow being disposed of. I was too naive. Who would have thought that the side we have been fighting alongside with, the side we were fighting for, was the one to bring our demise? After I had to see everyone else turn into nothingness, somehow... I alone survived. Note: I will attempt to fix the grammar problem with the help of lieutenant colonel fletterman. This may delay the release of future chapter. Chapter 1 is fixed. Chapter 2 is fixed.
