Your「CLEANING」skill has increased to Level 7!
The storehouse harbors more useful things than you think. While the rusty farming tools border on being plain unusable, the many brushes and brooms stockpiled there remain relatively decent in condition.
You elect to use these cleaning implements to spruce the farmhouse up, and you get to work right away, starting with the dreadful mess you made last night.
You start with the furniture, anything that's movable should be placed outside for washing. You carry the stool, the bookshelves, the counters, and in an impressive display of strength, the bed.
With your own two hands, you miraculously lift the mattress and frame separately down the stairs and out of the house. You almost trip and fall down the steps a few times, but all in all, it is a valiant effort. For a fair and dainty maiden, you sure are musclebound...
When you are done, what you're left with is a blank canvas on which you can express yourself artistically. Upon taking a second glance, you realize just how well-preserved this abandoned home is.
Perhaps the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" does hold some truth to it.
What ensues is the most intense eight hours of your life. You dust out the cobwebs, clean out the grit from between the floorboards, and scrub the floors until not a speck remains. You proceed to sweep the place and brush all the dirt back outside.
Your friend comes back at one point, puzzled by your fervent act of moving a weird stick back and forth, and gets his muddy paws all over the vestibule.
You turn to him, wearing a bloodshot look, and chase him out with your broom. "Get out!" you yell.
Following a few more hours of cleaning though, the place is as smooth and spotless as a baby's bottom. But the work is never over. You still need to clean the furniture and wash your clothes.

Luckily, the storehouse did have a plain white shirt and some overalls hanging behind the tools you picked up, so you don't have to wait for your clothes to dry while stark naked.
Now, there's a shallow stream nearby that ties up with the river you camped by before. You head over there with your dirty Mystfox friend in tow, carrying a rusty old bucket. And you make short trips back and forth to ensure none of the furniture pieces are left behind.
After transporting all the furniture by the riverbank, you quietly stare at your animal.
You then lift him off the ground and fling him into the water. You see the current rinse off the mud on his back and you laugh at the animal.
He rises from the water, annoyed, and he doesn't hold back in using his hind legs to propel water onto you. His full strength sends a wave crashing down on you and all the furniture. Literally. No exaggeration.
Thankfully, your belt bag preserves your books, and you jump in the water to get back at him.
Even though, you're the one who started it.
And you spend the rest of the afternoon gazing at the clouds in your overalls, as you wait for everything to dry in the spring breeze. You enjoy these slow and relaxing periods, where you aren't dancing to the tune of the mischievous Mystfox.
You close your left eye and consult your God's Eye out of habit. You find yourself doing this more often. Perhaps you're the type to fawn over every little achievement.

Your farming yesterday has really brought the skill one step away from getting maxed out. This reminds you of the bucket you brought along, and you pick it up and fill it with stream water as the skies are infused with an orange tint.
Your friend accompanies you. For the past two days whenever you did something new, he'd always stand by and watch. You never know what he's thinking. Does he think he can take up your job someday? Can his paws handle the harsh conditions of farm work?
You giggle to yourself imagining the Mystfox in an overall and straw hat, just like in the books.
When you arrive back at the homestead, you make your way to the foot of the hill where the carrot plot resides and water the crops as necessary. It isn't enough, so retrieve some more and come back.
This mundane act, seen from the eyes of an uncivilized beast, what must that look like?
You water the last of the crops, and instantly, you are rewarded.
You've maxed out your「FARMING」skill!
Talent Unlocked: Green Thumb
Description: Collect 5 seeds corresponding to the plant you harvest and 1 additional random seed. Crops take only 1 week to grow. Automatically learn a new fertilizer recipe that cuts growth time by half.
Unlike the last max level notification, this talent comes with an explanation. This is indubitably attributed to your God's Eye ability, and you are thankful it was the first talent you attained.
Back to the current talent though, and you are spurred on by its overpowered benefits. With this, you can effectively feed yourself and your friend. Speaking of which, you don't actually feel hungry, which is odd considering your lack of proper sustenance.
But just because you're not hungry, doesn't mean your friend isn't hungry. And you scurry back to the stream with an idea in mind.
You take out your dagger and your staff, and you begin sharpening the edge of the wooden stick. You then take this invention of yours and approach the series of cascades a few yards away from where your stuff is drying.
You focus on these raging waterfalls and spot what you're looking for, hopping up and down.

You decisively stab it and drop it for your friend, who's been shadowing you since the start. You beckon him and he happily scampers to dine on this fresh fish. You yourself are not a fan of the grisly sight before you, and you head back to your things.
While your cloak is dry, your clothes aren't. You leave them on a rock overnight. You do the same with the furniture, as no one in their right mind would snatch a bookshelf.
Where you sleep for tonight though, is sorted.
Your friend returns to the house late, having finished the fish. He goes to sleep by the fireplace like he did last night, only to find you in his spot. You've used your cloak as a blanket and are now sleeping on the cold hard ground.
The animal, like always, is curious as to why you do the things you do. But as he is no longer lonely during the nights, he forgoes any explanation.
He curls up beside you and closes his eyes, hoping to see more sides of you that baffle him in the coming days.
End of Day 4
Objective Completed: Clean your new home.
Current Objective: Learn what it means to live.

Handyman
Real science is done on the edge of knowledge. If done correctly, you really are not certain of the outcomes. If done incorrectly, people can get hurt. This is the story of a researcher tossed across reality. Current update schedule is entirely sporadic, but I do commit to not dropping the story. I'm aiming for 1 small chapter a month at the moment.

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.

Death Galaxy
When portals opened across the world and space, people were a bit terrified. Naturally, some people called it the end times or some other negative interpretation. Thankfully, the new arrivals managed to calm the masses, saying they were here from across dimensions in search of peaceful refuge. And so, began a technological revolution as the new cohabitants, who looked distinctly human if a bit off, openly shared some of their knowledge with us. Space travel, while not cakewalks, become more easily accessible, as did interplanetary colonization. Naturally, with the New Humans keeping some of the more dangerous techs to themselves and Old Humans being a greedy bunch, tensions are arising as old and new grudges rear their ugly heads. The world endlessly spins as history, both good and bad, is seemingly on its way to repeating itself. Only with other planets, and potentially other universes, being the backdrop this time. But that was big stuff that Alex had no real interest in. They only care about one thing and one thing. TDAG. Trans-Dimensional Adventure Games. Best VR system ever made.
