Chapter 4 - Escaping (1)
*Michael POV* ( The guard)
We were ordered to bring the Test Subject back, but after seeing his strength I have to say…. I am really scared. He killed a Great Wolf; we had to sacrifice dozens of comrades to capture it, but he killed it alone and he only suffered small injured…do you know what this means? This means that he is a killing machine that can match a small army.
‘Damn…and that crazy woman want us to capture him with just me and Lucas, I shouldn’t have agreed to work in this godforsaken place, but now I have no choice if don’t capture him, I’ll be worst than dead’
Walking through the hallways we finally arrived at the weapons room, putting my thumb on the fingerprint reader the titanium door opened and in front of me hundreds of weapons queued in gun cabinets appeared.
After some minutes, I finally choose the M4A1 Assault Rifle, Beretta M9 and a combat knife; Lucas picked the same.
‘These will do’
“How are you doing Lucas?”
I asked Lucas but I didn’t need an answer, I could see that he was all sweaty and his eyes were wide open, he stood there motionless without answering me for seconds.
“Yeah…I am fine Michael, I am just thinking that I shouldn’t have accepted this damn job” - Lucas
He weakly smiled while answering
“Yeah…I was thinking the same. Damn, if I die who will take care of my daughter? She is only six years old; she already lost her mother if I die too….”
“*Tch* But if we don’t obey we will die anyway… the only difference is that they will kill our families” – Lucas
Sighing, as we could do nothing but obey
After taking the guns, we exited the room and slowly walked towards the elevator, each step we took was heavier than the last while imagining the demon awaiting us, and in my mind I was cursing myself for accepting this job.

Minutes later we finally stood facing the elevator that would send us to hell.
“Prepared?”
“Yep” - Lucas
Placing my thumb on the fingerprint reader the elevator door opened, hesitating but finally stepping inside, the elevator slowly descended and all we could hear was the sound of the machinery.

*Number 7 POV*
“Finally they are coming”
I could hear the sound of the elevator descending, getting up I stood in the middle of the room waiting to the elevator arrive.
‘Probably they are coming to kill me…since I am a threat’
After two minutes the elevator arrived and the doors slowly opened, two soldiers stood there, they were wearing black combat clothes with body armor over it, they were holding guns and aiming it at me, they were the two guards who took me to the elevator.
“HANDS UP!!! HANDS UP!!!” – Guard 1
“DON’T MOVE!!!” – Guard 2
Both of them walked out of the elevator, closing on me from the left and right sides, trying to surround me.
I could feel my mouth curling upwards forming a cold smile; I dashed towards the guard on my right side, seeing me quickly getting closer the guards fired. Feeling danger I kicked the ground and somersaulted falling behind the guard on the right sensing the danger he jumped but it was too late, I grabbed his neck and twisted it.
*CRACk*
A cracking sound echoed through the room as the lifeless body of the guard slowly fell on the ground, his neck was twisted and no blood was shed. The other Guard looked at me hatred filled his eyes as he fired at me.
Kicking the ground I started to run around the room, running in circles so that the bullets couldn’t touch me, directing particles to my eyes so that I could see the trail of the bullets, I evaded all of them when finally the guard ran out of ammo.

“YOU MONSTER!!!!” – Guard 2
He screamed as he retreated and kneed in a corner of the room, a foul smell permeated the room as a yellow liquid dripped from his pants and spread all over the floor.
“Are you serious?”
I madly laughed while looking at the man crouched in a corner of the room...
“You have at least six minutes before you die from the particles radiation… you should have brought an isolation cloth at least”
I could see that the particles were invading his body and causing quite a bit of damage, as he didn’t have nowhere to store the particles that entered his body, so, he has at least six to seven minutes.
‘I will leave him here…I just need his thumb’
“Hey…I need your thumb”
He frightened looked at me without understand a thing, but as I got closer he shrunk even more. When he in my range I took a knife that was in his belt and slashed off his thumb. It was too fast that he didn’t have time to feel pain, but when he saw me with his thumb, he loudly screamed as he tried stanching the blood.
‘Now the other one’
Turning around and slicing off the thumb of the other one, I picked a rifle on the ground and tested it by firing once towards the wall, seeing that there was no problem with the gun I aimed it at a corner of the room where a camera was and whispered
“I am coming for you...”
After destroying the camera I walked towards the elevator and used the thumb of the guard to open the door, the doors opened and I slowly entered.
“This is going to be fun”

Hello guys...Sooo, sorry about the short combat scene, I thought about making it longer but normal humans are not a threat to Number 7 anymore....so, if you didn't like it tell me please, I will try to make them longer. ( In important fights I will make it longer)...

Ursus Ex Machina
Ozzy was a man of the wild. Raised in a remote village atop the world's mightiest mountain, he'd been taught to respect and revere the natural world. The realm he was born into had been there long before him, and it would remain there long after him. Sure, there was the occasional madman who threatened to destroy it, but such boasts were always empty. No one individual was actually capable of demolishing this beautiful blue-and-green ball Ozzy called home. No matter what terrible magics these villains wielded, they were incapable of causing permanent harm to the environment. Even if the planet was completely devastated, it would recover. Life would find a way to flourish, same as it always had. That was what Ozzy believed from the bottom of his heart, so he never once felt the need to save the world he loved. After all, it was never truly in danger. The world would be fine no matter what. The people were a wee bit endangered, but that was another story altogether. However, what would happen if Ozzy suddenly found himself devoid of his beloved wilds? What would the man do if the realm he knew - one of wonder, magic, and chaos - was replaced with a man-made environment of concrete, industry, and steam? Ozzy could never imagine such a thing happening, and yet that was his new reality. After losing a fateful confrontation with a mad wizard, he and his friends found themselves transported to a strange world so thoroughly alien that every waking moment feels like a fever dream. Separated and scattered to the four corners of this land, each of these adventurers will need to adapt, survive, and overcome if they hope to reunite. They would also need to do so quickly. The sooner they are able to find one another, the sooner they can figure out a way back home and have another crack at putting an end to the villain's plans. Whether such a thing was actually possible in a world with barely any magic in it was a valid concern, but Ozzy had more immediate things to worry about. For instance, why did the air smell like a perpetual forest fire? How did ships sail through the sky as if it were water? And most importantly, was the pavement he was hurtling towards at high speed much softer than it looked? Probably not, but a man could hope.

The Rowan Fox, Tail 1: The Missing Children
Deep in the Maple Woods sits a mountain of old. Humans have claimed it and today a city called Redlog covers it from peak to foot. Meet Josei, one of many medicine makers living in the city of red roofs. Hers is the start of many tales, home to a very special fox. Like foxes often do, this one finds himself plenty of trouble. (Thought I would be gone forever did you? I'm back again! This time with a book that actually has an ending. I know because I've written it. I will be editing each chapter then releasing it here as they're done, probably once or twice a week. It's a shorter tale than what I've written before but that was the goal from the start. I really need to learn how to finish a story so this was a big accomplishment for me. I'll be writing The Rowan Fox in several parts instead, short but hopefully sweet.) (This story is a combination of some of my favorite things: folktales, foxes, ancient forests, and feel good slice of life. I hope you like it!)
