《Life of the dark god》Chapter 11 Secret training

It had been 3 days since we gave George the medicine. When he got better he and Millie thanked us and he said that I wouldn’t have to pay the Silver Coins back. They were also allowed us to stay at their house for a few days.
Yesterday George taught me the basic concept of blacksmithing. He also meant that if I want to become a successful blacksmith I would have to train a lot. Every swing of the hammer had to be precise when making something. For that I needed a lot of experience.
After watching him crafting a sword I tried it myself but I failed miserably but that didn’t depress me. It even motivated me to practice more. I ended up swinging the hammer all day long. When I came to my senses it was already dark. When I wanted to leave I saw a note.
“We didn’t want to distract you so we all went to bed already. We left you something of dinner. It is on the table. Good night.”
The note was definitely from Kylie. I knew that because I already looked at all things she knew about magic and wrote down. It was exactly as the woman from the guild told me with some addition information.
“There is some kind of ranking systems between the magicians. If you can use 1 kind of element you can call yourself a magician. If you can control 2 you can call yourself a mage, with 3 you are a witch, with 4 a wizard and with 5 you would be a sage and with 6 great mage. There has only been one sage in the entire history and he was human. He was also one of the people who helped creating magic. Nowadays you can consider yourself lucky to find someone be a witch. Magic for battle dropped a lot in popularity because no one could make any further breakthroughs with the elements they could control.”

Why did she knew so much about magic? I had no idea. And if she didn’t want to tell me I wouldn’t force her to tell me as long as she would do her job. What picked my interest though would be what rank I would be categorized in. I was able to control all 6 basic as well as all 3 unique elements. Probably like Kylie said a danger level of SS rank or even above.
Another thing that I noticed was that unique magic was really rare. For human it was called forbidden magic and the king forbid the usage and experiments with those elements and all other raced didn’t use magic or were not as advanced as humans with magic to use them.
When I collected my thoughts I heard something from outside. I left the house and looked what it was. When I arrived at the cause for the noise I saw Kylie standing there and doing nothing. I concentrated a little more and noticed a flow of mana I didn’t know about. When I moved nearer to observe the situation she noticed me.
“What are you doing outside so late at night?”(Me)
“I would really like to say nothing but you wouldn’t believe me after seeing my mana correct?”(Kylie)
I just smiled at her and she took that as an answer.
“I know I wasn’t honest to you. I will tell you what my magic is but only under one condition.”(Kylie)
“The condition is?”(Me)
“You will tell me who you are. I mean I know you call yourself Darkness but I don’t believe it even if your adventurer card shows this.”(Kylie)
I looked at her and she was serious. It would be a bother to discuss this so I went ahead before she could say anything.
“My real name is Hikaru and my real race is a god. You happy now? So your magic is?”(Me)

“Huh…? What?”(Kylie)
“I gave you my name. I even told you my race so please fulfil your promise and tell me what your magic is.”(Me)
She looked at me and couldn’t bring out any words.
“If you are unable to tell me than just write it down at least. Or are you going to break your promise?”(Me)
“No I won’t. It’s just hard to believe so I will just continue to act like you are the human Darkness ok? And for my magic. I will write it down later. I’m too tired to do it now. Good night Darkness.”(Kylie)
“Just to warn you my real name and race are valuable information. I hope you will be so nice as to not let someone else know of it.”(Me)
When I said that I used a lot of mana to surround me and had an evil smile on. I looked like when I activated the dark mana. I just wanted to pressure her so she would keep it a secret. I think I overdid it a bit because she didn’t move so I said something to ease her tense.
“Good night.”(Me)
She nodded, went to her room and probably went to sleep. When I saw she left and checked the surroundings I started my training. First I activated [Room: space-time]. After I finished I meditated and went to the white space. There were only 2 things left there because I dropped the sword before. The spear and the black sphere.
I tried to absorb more mana from the sphere and it took me the whole night in normal time so almost 1 whole day in [Room: space-time] till I had a breakthrough. When I left the white space to analyse my body I could feel a little bit of the black mana. Something else caught my eyes. Even with so little mana activated my hair and eyes turned black. Now I would definitely fit the description of the name Darkness.
I didn’t want to go further now. I was satisfied with what I achieved in one night so I stopped for now. I noticed that the sun would soon rise so I dispelled my [Room: space-time] and went to bed. I was really tired and fell asleep.
I had a big problem though. George, Millie and Kylie were all early risers. So after a short time of sleeping my door got kicked open and Millie stormed into my room. With so much noise I woke up and had to start the day with only 2 hours of sleep.
It would be obvious how motivated I was that day.
We stayed for 2 more days and left Millie and her father after we were sure they were okay now and George wouldn’t get ill anymore.
Our goal? For now it was to travel in the beast continent. I wanted to visit as much villages, towns and even cities as possible. Also I wanted to raise my adventurer rank to see what I would get.
I said travel but Kylie meant the better word for it would be touring so we went with that. She said traveling would mean you would trip over difficulties and through live and death situations and as long as I would get better with my magic and fighting experience that wouldn’t be the case.
Our goal was touring the beast continent.

Returning their hard-won cargo to THE SILVER ORDER in their city stronghold in BAVAT, they find their well-deserved rest will have to rest – half-elf wizard GAEL FOXTAIL’s father has disappeared while performing an investigation in the coastal city of UNTERMER, and it’s up to our motley crew to find him. As a son of Untermer, wily bakaneko thief ART OF SHADOWS is the perfect choice to lead the way, but he has ghosts of his own to face as their investigation brings them into the orbit of the THIEVES GUILD. But there are daker forces at work here, and as they uncover a dark conspiracy and form an uneasy alliance with a trio of tough sellswords with their own stake in the game, led by dwarven warrior THELGAEWYNN FROSTFORGE, the Creeping Bam begin to suspect this may be connected to that unfinished business they started back up north … This is a love letter and homage to the high-fantasy worlds of the tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Warhammer and the sword & sorcery cinema and literature I fell in love with as a kid growing up in the 80s, from Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
