We finished our tour when the sun was setting and everyone made a weird handshake with Sakura and when she saw that I didn’t know what happened, she extended her hand to me. With a smile she wanted me to make a handshake with her, which I did more than willingly. In a split second where we made the handshake, I left some of my mana hidden in hers. I didn’t target her but the person protecting her with that.

After saying good night to Sakura, we went to the boy’s dormitory and to our own rooms. The day before a lot of people gave me weird stares, but only 1 day later everyone already ignored my present. I guess that I wasn’t a hot topic everyone would talk about anymore.

I sat down in my bed and waited for my guest to arrive.

I definitely underestimated that person. I waited a few hours and my “clock” showed that it was 24:00. I got that name from 1 of the conversations of my guides from the day before. It was really boring that he didn’t intend to show up, so I thought that I had to help him with his decision a little bit.

Even if I am far away, as long as I have stored my own mana somewhere, I would be able to feel and control it. That was 1 of the things I experienced while creating my far distance teleportation. The problem was, what to do. I didn’t have any intention of hurting a girl as nice and friendly as Sakura, so I had to let it seem like I am hurting her to lure out her secret protector.

While thinking about what I could do, I had a good idea. I left my room and walked to the nearby park of the academy. Did I already mention that Sonya academy was huge? When I entered the park, I hid in a tree and waited a few minutes. I hoped that the person I was looking for at least noticed that I did something to Sakura and that he would follow me if I made my move.

After waiting for a few minutes, someone finally showed up. Strange as it was, it definitely wasn’t the person I have been looking for but the group of 4 I beat in the morning of the same day. They probably wanted to get revenge and followed me in secret.

“Didn’t he say that this trash Hikaru went to the park?!”(William)

“I definitely saw him coming here, he can’t be far let’s search for him.”(1 of Will’s gang)

“If I find him, I’m gonna beat the shit out of him and get revenge for what he did to us this morning!”(William)

I don’t believe you’d be able to but you can try as often as you want, the result will be the same as last time, though.

I didn’t let myself get angry over his mocking shouts and only watched them move around searching for me. Suddenly I remembered what this idiot said a moment before, he said something about another person telling them my location.

“If this is how you want to play, I’ll gladly tag along to your games.”(Me)

I said in a low voice, while smiling. In the next second, I jumped down from the tree I was hiding and showed myself to the group of 4 idiots. They saw me jumping down, took out their swords and stormed at me like last time, while I also dodged and knocked them out like before. The only difference was, that I was a lot fiercer that time, to make sure they were and stayed unconsciousness.

“I’m not really patient. I’ll give you 10 seconds to show yourself, if you don’t, I will do something to Sakura. You should at least have noticed that I did something to her before.”(Me)

I got no reply. I stayed resolute and adjusted to the situation.

“Just for your information, if you thought you could somehow hinder me from hurting her if you don’t confront me head on and with all you got, you are definitely wrong. I don’t even need to be near her, the mana I inserted into hers will do what I command it. I’ll start counting down now.”(Me)

Again, I got no reply.

“10!”(Me)

When I suddenly started shouting, I noticed that I made him nervous, because somewhere in a bush near the entrance of the park I could perceive slight movements.

“Found you.”(Me)

I said in a low voice. I collected my mana near my feet, used a combination of fire and wind magic to boost my momentum and rushed into the direction. The person was first in shock but knew that he needed to get away from his position and tried to run away. He covered his face with clothes, so I couldn’t recognise him. Unfortunately, even if he was that prepared, he picked the wrong person for that kind of game.

“9!”(Me)

I clearly disrupted his movements with my shout. He stumbled a bit and lost most of his speed. That split second was more than enough for me to catch up to him. He tried to intimidate me by sending his bloodlust my way. I recognised that bloodlust. It was the same as that morning. I smiled and as I did in the morning, I exerted my own and in addition to that let the black mana leak. Only a bit though, it wasn’t enough for me to enter my black form. I grabbed his shoulder and stopped his escape attempt.

“I think I won this game, don’t you agree?”(Me)

Still being a little scared he nodded clearly unwillingly. After calming down, I let go of him and he turned around. He undid his masking and I saw his face. He seemed to keep a rather cool head even in such a situation. He knew that I knew him and he knew as long as he would do as I said, I wouldn’t do anything to Sakura. I was somewhat sorry to even take those clever thoughts away from him.

This hide and seek was fun but now let’s focus on achieving total victory.

I put on a wicked smile after my thoughts. This obviously made him feel uncomfortable.

“Well the hunter and the prey finally meet each other. Am I not right Takeshi Dragon?”(Me)
