《Life of the dark god》Chapter 13 A plan for creating a new force

“For us to be recognised by the whole world, 101 people won’t be enough. Even if we are stronger than the average adventurer out there, we are only a small force. In order to grow in numbers I ask of you to scout new talents, which can support us in the future. Every person that comes here, it can be because they are part of an attack or because they need help and are at deaths door, will be rooted by us in the future as long as they are under the age of 16, because most of the people who are older than that have already reached their peak and won’t grow any further.”(Me)
I made a pause so they could catch up on what I told them. The eyes of them were definitely filled with respect and ambition, but I could also see a lot of doubts and questions as well as disagreement in their expressions.
Normally it would be easy to convince children for something. They were young and had no idea of the world, but when thinking about what those 100 already went through, it was obvious that they had a much better understanding how cruel this world could be, perhaps even better than most adults. Everyone who can be rooted as future support could also try to destroy us from the inside.
“Don’t worry I have already thought of a plan how we deal with traitors. The important part is that if what I predict comes true, we will gather a lot of young talent from all around the world like this. With those, we then have you the 1st generation and them, the 2nd generation. You know that the “older” generation has to look after the younger.”(Me)
I hope I could at least clear some of their doubts, with my “plan”, which I obviously didn’t have. Even better, I finally had something to do while being in class, other than flipping a pen and looking outside of the window.

“You can all have your own opinion and doubts about my plan, that is normal, but listen until the end and ask questions afterwards, perhaps I answer some of them while explaining.”(Me)
They just listened silently to everything I said. Never did they ask a question or disagreed with me. I don’t know if it was out of respect or fear, but I was able to continue with the explanation smoothly.
“Rooting talents and building up numbers is important but that was only the 1st part of my plan and not what we want. If we want to be a force, we can’t only hide and defend, we have to attack. I know we don’t need new land, because as long as I gather enough energy, I can expand the black continent. I am not talking about greedy things like the humans tend to do, I am talking about showing our strength in other ways.”(Me)
Perhaps it was only my imagination, who knows, but they started to pop up question marks above their little heads and some even started producing smoke out of their heads. Probably because they were thinking hard on how else we can prove our strength. I wasn’t able to hold back a little laughter before continuing.
“Hahaha, don’t think too hard about it. It is simple, we will simply produce important people. How do we do that? Simple, we will use the guild system as well as war and fights of the other races. For those of you who don’t know what the guild system is, I am too lazy to explain so go read the guide for beginners after I finish talking.”(Me)
“I am sorry but I am not able to hold back my question any longer.”(Sepp)
Sepp burst out of nowhere and everyone was looking at him, clearly surprised and then back at me to wait for how I would reply.

“Let me guess, you want to know who would defend the black continent while you are gone, right?”(Me)
“That and it would be good if we had something to proof that we are of the black continent, like some kind of symbol. Because…”(Sepp)
I interrupted him.
“Because other people could take advantage of it and use our fame?”(Me)
“Yes.”(Sepp)
I knew he was talented but to be able to think so far ahead into the future, while being so young is something special.
“Your questions are important and I will answer them, but you know that I don’t like getting interrupted during my speeches, moreover after I clearly told you to wait until I finish.”(Me)
“I am willing to receive any kind of punishment.”(Sepp)
The others looked anxious. They knew I was harsh and his punishment would be extreme even though he only interrupted me. I could only smile at the whole situation.
“Your questions were indeed appropriate, but you ignored my warning and interrupted me, so your punishment is that you will be our front runner.”(Me)
They made expressions like someone died in front of their eyes. They needed a few seconds until they understood that I wasn’t angry at him and that that was actually nothing bad.
“Sepp, you will be the first 1 to leave this island and establish your name. So now that you received your punishment let me continue.”(Me)
“Y…Sure.”(Sepp)
“To answer the questions, I didn’t tell you all to leave, only a handful of people will leave. Moreover only 1 person will leave every month, which is also my only rule. You can decide who leaves. And I think that your “symbol” idea was also good. I will think about it and tell you when I come back. Sepp, you have 1 month, which is also the time I will come back to visit you again, to prepare yourself.”(Me)
“Yes!”(Sepp)
He was a lot more resolute on that reply.
“The final step of my plan will come in a few years, but I advise you, we have to prepare for it. Even I am unsure of what will happen.”(Me)
The final step of my plan was the enemy I would need to beat in the future. I had no idea who it was, so I also had no idea what would happen. I accidently said that in a low voice. When I noticed, it was already too late and I scared the kids. They looked at me like they would at their oldest brother, so if I seemed afraid of something, they would be too.
“Don’t worry, I am only uncertain of what happens in the future. The result will stay the same!”(Me)
They tried as hard as possible to hide their fear, but that didn’t work out that well. It was really awkward and everyone remained silent.
“Any questions?”(Me)
No one said anything. The motivation they showed a few moments earlier was completely gone.
“No.”(Sepp)
At least Sepp tried to ease the situation too, which didn’t work.
Yep, I totally fucked up the end, even though it started so well.

Trace Taylor was at a shooting range when the world was kidnapped by the alien species called the ‘Esvol’ to begin humanity's integration with the System. Each individual person is given a femtochip implant and a class to fend for themselves before being sent back to Earth. Once Trace returns, she finds that the planet too is left scarred by this encounter, now filled with Dungeons packed with monsters and Gates that lead to the multiverse. With nothing but a handgun and her trusty new AI by her side, how will Trace come to survive this newly-changed planet? This story is a YA take on the “LitRPG Apocalypse” genre. It takes place in an alternate reality where, in addition to numerous other things, Earth's population reaches ten billion in 2030. I do hope you consider giving it a shot— no pun intended. New God
Who said being a God was easy. If you started omniscient; omnipotent and omnipresent then it might be. However, without those powers it would be a different story entirely. This is that story. Adam is thrown into a new world with no choice and no instructions. At least he is a God, whatever that means... Lovely Royal Road readers: Imagine a tutorial with no instructions and no idea what the game was meant to be and what you are trying to achieve. All you know is that you are a God (whatever that means). So this is quite slow to start; mainly world building for me; a bit of base building by the MC and some good old minion development. I'm developing/practicing my writing and love the format of RR to get it out of my head. So hopefully it gets better with time as I get better. All feedback welcome - but please critique and tell me why you don't like it (if you don't) I'd rather a 1-star review than a 2-star(plus) rating!
