《Life of the dark god》Chapter 31 The world is starting to crumble

The meeting continued normally. After I said what has been on my mind, I took a rather passive position in it. I’d occasionally say something, but most of it wasn’t all too important.
“We should start to think of certain countermeasures. If what Hikaru said is true, then we have to be able to ensure the safety of our world.” (Arthur)
It was exactly what I’ve been waiting for the whole time. The time came when we started to discuss our plans. I have already thought about the upcoming battle a lot.
“I already have an idea of what we should do.” (Me)
Everyone went quiet and listened to me as soon as I opened my mouth. I was surprised by everyone’s attention.
“Well, I think it’s best if I start the confrontation with the enemy. He won’t be going all out from the start, so I think I’ll manage to fend him off for quite a while.” (Me)
Using our trump card, me, from the get-go didn’t seem to fit with everyone.
“Wouldn’t it be better to send a small army in first? We should let you enter the fight when the enemy is exhausted, so you can finish him of.” (Arthur)
As expected of Arthur, he was an excellent strategist.
“You are right. Your thoughts are certainly correct, but you are forgetting an important thing.” (Me)
“Ho. Please explain to me. What am I missing?” (Arthur)
“We have a crucial advantage in this fight.” (Me)
I don’t know what the other gods told them exactly, but in this fight, we had a very important variable, which already changed the outcome completely.
“Are you talking about…” (Hiro)
“Kylie.” (Takeshi)
They only noticed now? How stupid can you be?
Luckily my thoughts weren’t shown by my facial expressions.
“What are you guys talking about?” (Arthur)
“You’re right. Kylie came from the future. Without her we wouldn’t even know what’s going on right now.” (Hayate)
“Did you just say someone from the future?” (Ryukai)
It seemed that those idiots missed the chance to talk about this important matter.

“Sigh. It seems I have to do the whole explaining.” (Me)
It was bothersome. The survival of the world was at stakes, how could they forget something like that.
“As you already heard a girl named Kylie came from the future to warn us about the end of the world and if we want to prevent that we should all work together.” (Me)
“Ho. She changed the course of time I see.” (Ryukai)
As expected they, especially Ryukai caught up quickly.
“Yes.” (Me)
“That means we have information about the enemy, has no idea about that. If that’s true then indeed, Hikaru’s idea is the best to go with.” (Ryukai)
I started to like him even more. I didn’t need unnecessary explanation with him, because he understood my way of thinking perfectly.
“I still don’t understand why we should do that?” (Arthur)
“Our enemy would never think that we’d just send our strongest fighter in first. He thinks we use small fry to be safe, because he thinks we don’t even know about his arrival.” (Ryukai)
I couldn’t have said it any better. He was exactly right. On one hand we can analyse his fighting style while stalling time and on the other hand, on the other we can scare him a little bit.
“Ok. Let’s think we go with your plan, what about us? What should we do in the meantime?” (Hiro)
Of course, I also only waited for this question to come up. Took them long enough though.
“As I said, I’ll stall some time, meanwhile, we have to get an overview of his abilities as well as finding a way of stopping the collision of the two worlds.” (Me)
“Mmh. That makes sense. We should first focus on saving the future of this world and think about how defeat him afterwards, or we’ll go in two different groups.” (Arthur)
Arthur looked at us and received a nod from everyone.
“Good let’s go with Hikaru’s plan and improvise with everything else when there’s an opportunity to do so.” (Arthur)
With that, everything fell into my hands once again. Not that I minded it, because it was what I was aiming at from the start.

-Rumble.-
“What?!”
The ground started shaking. It hit us completely unprepared. Some of us couldn’t even remain standing because of the strong impact. Even at that moment, I didn’t miss on anything. I instantly figured out where the collision of the two worlds took place.
“It has begun.” (Me)
“Seems like it.” (Takeshi)
It was surprising that Takeshi got serious now. But it wasn’t the time to wonder about miracles, I had to focus on doing my job; stalling time.
“Gather your armies and be on standby.” (Me)
“Who do you think we are kid? We are the five kings of this world. We know what to do. Our armies are all already waiting outside since long ago.” (Demon king)
He probably tried to get me back for earlier and protect some of his honour, but it was a good thing, because that way we could save a lot of time.
I rushed out of the castle to get an overview of the whole situation. What I saw was astonishing. Hundred thousand of soldiers were standing in front of me. I didn’t even see the end of them.
Most of them were still busy standing up and reorganizing their formations, but just the number of people was already outstanding.
“We decided that the kings will look after the state of the world and we gods will get rid of the enemy.” (Ryukai)
The others followed behind me and they used the opportunity of me being in awe of the army to catch up with me.
“Ok. Follow me. Let’s beat him together and save the world.” (Me)
And afterwards I’ll get my revenge on everyone of you.
Following me were Takeshi, Ryukai, Hiro, Hayate, Lucy, Sepp and Sakura.
I had no idea where Sakura came from, but when I turned around for a second I saw her there as well.
We went through a forest, crossed the sea with the help of my magic and arrived at the Black Continent. I don’t know why, but the collision was in the middle of my own island. I don’t know if it was intended, but it bothered me.
I had to admit, it expanded by a lot. Unfortunately, some parts of the Black Continent were already destroyed by the impact.
“Can we talk for a second?” (Lucy)
Lucy somehow managed to get to the front.
“Sure. We still have some time left I guess.” (Me)
I didn’t feel any signs of enemies, which meant he still hadn’t arrived yet. I stopped and we all took a break.
“Puh. First, why didn’t we use your teleportation array to get here? It’s damn exhausting to keep up with you.” (Lucy)
Obviously, I forgot that I made something like that. It was probably shown somewhere on my face, because she sighed and continued.
“Are you sure we should already fight? We haven’t even found the sword father has been talking about. (Lucy)
Lucy seemed worried about the whole situation.
“Haha. Don’t worry about it.” (Me)
“I know you trained a lot, but how can you be so sure that we’ll win.” (Lucy)
I remained quiet. I have prepared as much as possible for this fight. If I can’t win, what else is there what we should do? Searching for the way to send someone back in time again? For what? Repeating everything?
“Seriously you are unbelievable. But I’ll still have to count on you.” (Lucy)
I could only smile. I felt confident that I could win, but on the other side I worried that we might have overlooked something. It wasn’t good for me to get distracted at that time.
“We are almost in range. I’ll go first, you guys wait here and observe. If you think I need help, support me as fast as possible, if it seems I’m alright just stay here.” (Me)
From now on it was up to everyone to rely on our training as well as our instincts.

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment. I'm Sure It'll be Fine! ...right?
We live to die, and die to live again. This Cycle continues, neither to Begin nor End. Ever Beginning, never to End, we come to the story of our Unusual Friend. The Gods are as varied and unique as the mortals that worship them. Some are kind, others are fluffy, and (given the nature of the multiverse) a few are Eldrich Abominations of Unspeakable Horror. But that's fine, those few tend to mind their own business... At least until an Eldrich Abomination (an interdimensional cosmic slime-mold specifically) gets itself devoured by a Lich during a ritual to obtain Godhood... Especially because anyone, even a Lich, who's willing to eat an ENTIRE COSMIC SLIME-MOLD for any reason, even godhood, is undoubtedly a madman...who's now set his unsightly gaze upon replacing (likely by devouring) the Godess of Magic herself! She could probably use some help...if only to avoid touching the slimy Lichgod directly. Also, the Eldrich Gods are protesting these events in their usual manner...by trying to destroy all of Creation.
