《Life of the dark god》Chapter 32 The last boss appears

I went alone to face of the enemy. I could feel the concentrated energy burst forth from the centre of the island. It wasn’t to degree where the normal eye could see it but it was close to it.
I wasn’t scared at all, but I felt uncomfortable. I could clearly feel a vibe of something which was not from this world. Some of the grass was still on the ground and some rocks were still lying around.
I followed all the leads and at the end of it, I saw a single man standing and looking up to the sky.
I don’t know why, but I hid behind one of the remaining trees and observed the man. He had pitch black hair and wore a brown worn out robe. The man looked more like a beggar, which you could find on any given street than an enemy.
His eyes were grey and he seemed as if he hadn’t slept for quite a while. Perhaps he was blind, or he just had special eyes, I didn’t know. I just stood there and observed the man that behaved like a child which was let out of a house for the first time in its life.
Happy about the grass on the ground as well as feeling the need to touch everything he could. A crazy person indeed. After a while, when I thought he finished whatever he was doing, he stopped in the middle of the field where he first stood.
“No hide, I know there.” (Man)
His sentence structure was strange. At least I knew what he wanted to tell me. I wasn’t surprised or anything. I already anticipated that he’d knew I was there. If he wasn’t even capable of doing this much, I couldn’t even consider him a threat.
“So… you… are first…?” (Man)
He stumbled and I didn’t understand anything at all. He inhaled as deep as he could.
“Really nice be back, even if isn’t what hoped for.” (Man)

Every time he started a new sentence, I could understand a little bit more. It seemed as if he was here before. His words were still a bit clumsy though.
“Who are you?” (Me)
“Who I?” (Man)
I felt like talking to a little child.
“Perhaps telling you, perhaps not. No difference.” (Man)
Yep. I was definitely talking to a child.
“Why do you destroy this world?” (Me)
“Not my intention.” (Man)
“What do you want then?” (Me)
“Just wanted to be here. You ask to many questions.” (Man)
It’s as if he relearned an old language in only a few sentences. He went away from the few words he was barely able to speak as well as the crippled tone and now he could almost fluently talk.
“Hahaha. But really, is this coincidence that the first person I meet again after such a long time is a god? Moreover, you look like a capable one.” (Man)
I wasn’t as calm as at the beginning anymore, but I did my best to not show anything to him at all.
“I really like your determination boy. So tell me, whose child are you?” (Man)
I still kept my mouth shut. I had to take as less risks as possible.
“Is it Nadine? No, you’d be a lot livelier if she were your mother. You resemble Manus a lot, but you are way too capable to be his son.” (Man)
He was listing names, I never heard about, but I had a vague idea what he might have been talking about. I made sure that I remembered all of those names.
“Hmm. Jakob and Ray are out of question, that carefree couple was already in love when I was still with them.” (Man)
This one sentence confirmed my thoughts. He knew them. He knew our parents the ten gods who created the world and the five races. Also, if I wasn’t wrong…
“Are you a god as well?” (Me)

He went quiet all of a sudden. After a short pause, he made a creepy smile and started to laugh.
“Hahaha. So, they didn’t even tell you about me? Let me take a guess, the ten gods created the world and the races with the key, right? Hahaha. Don’t make me laugh.” (Man)
I couldn’t answer and just stood there silently.
“Ah. Let me tell you something, that story is nothing but a lie. I was the one that created the world. No one else you hear me!” (Man)
He seemed really addicted to that thought.
“All they did was to think of the people that should live on it. It took me hundreds of years and then they take everything away from me.” (Man)
“So you want revenge?” (Me)
“No no no no. I didn’t wait so long to heal just for such a stupid reason. I will reset my world and start anew. This time though there won’t be any unnecessary hindrances such as friends.” (Man)
He went quiet all of a sudden again. It seemed that he had to think about something.
“Let’s stop talking about me for now. You are interesting boy. I really want to know who your parents were, so let’s continue.” (Man)
My job was to stall for time. As long as he’d continue with his little game, I had nothing to complain about.
“Ok. Ok. Hmmm. So Nadine, Manus, Jakob and Ray are out of the question, is it… This is hard if I don’t know anything about you. You’re not an airhead though, so it isn’t Drako as well.” (Man)
Just from what he was already telling me about the ten gods, I’d say that Jakob and Ray are Hayate’s parents. I was pretty sure about that.
An airhead and a lively woman would fit well together, I’d put them as Takeshi’s parents. It was just an assumption for the time being.
“Ok. Half of them is out and I don’t think that Kurina is your mother as well. She was way to open to everyone, talking about this and that shit and yeah, you still haven’t like told me anything about you at all, so no.” (Man)
I didn’t understand him at all. He just more or less admitted that he doesn’t know anything about me and he probably also knew that I was just stalling for time. Was he that confident in his victory?
“Six gone, only four left to go, but damn those four are really tricky.” (Man)
I put Manus and Kurina as Hiro’s parents, because he always tried to be friendly with everyone. I only know a bit about Ryukai, but I was sure that none of the six mentioned before would fit for any of us two.
“Puh. This is way too hard, but I’m sure about one thing now and that’s enough.” (Man)
His attitude changed completely. He didn’t seem friendly any longer, he looked like he really wanted to kill, only getting held back by a chain.
“What do you mean?” (Me)
“Do you really think I don’t know what you are doing? No, you probably know and you are thinking about why I’d let you stall for time right? Yes. You are exactly like your damn father.” (Man)
His eyes showed enmity.
“That fucking Primus caged me in this damn world, but soon I’ll be able to leave. When the last of the ten dies, I’ll be able to descend to this world and reset it.” (Man)
He jumped at me and tried to grab my neck, but just before he could, it seemed like something was holding him back. Like an invisible wall or something.
“Just wait and see how I destroy your world, when the last seal is broken!” (Man)
He shouted out loud with all his might and my ears hurt because of it.
“This means war.” (Me)
