《Life of the dark god》Chapter 36 The hidden weapon

“You… What are you?” (Man)
It was a bold question to ask, which I was not obligated to answer. His calm self, developed into uneasiness. Given the circumstances, I understood that he couldn’t go easy any longer, but to change that much was rather surprising.
“If I could only undo this damn seal, I could use my full power. It’s only one last person to die anyways. Damn it, who is it?” (Man)
I don’t know how, but even though it seemed like the seal was still active, he managed to somehow get out of his world. It only showed me that he had a lot of tricks up his sleeve and I had to be extra careful.
“Not only that, but now a child who can withstand the power of the key appeared before me and is hindering my path.” (Man)
He shouted all kinds of insults and hit around him, as if a ghost was haunting him. I used the opportunity to activate another explosion trap. Unfortunately, it didn’t work at all and it only made him angrier.
“Believe me, as soon as this seal is undone, I’m going to kill you in the cruellest way possible.” (Man)
I don’t know if he was trying to scare me, but it didn’t affect me at all. I just stood at a safe distance and whenever I thought his guard was down, I used another trap to tire him out.
This went on for some time, until I ran out of traps.
“Was that your last one? What are you going to do now?” (Man)
Wasn’t the answer obvious? I was at full strength, while he looked exhausted. I only had to continue bombarding him with some other magic attacks until he can no longer fight and afterwards I kill him.

That was my plan on how to end this fight, but I was stopped by a person I haven’t seen in quite some time.
“Save your mana. You will need it later.”
The facial expression of my opponent made all types of twitches as soon as he heard the voice.
“I really hoped it was someone else, but no, it had to be you Primus.” (Man)
“Who else if not me dear Daniel?” (Primus)
At least Dad’s character didn’t change much from what I remembered him to be. He seemed much to friendly and easy going, but now I knew that it was only a facade to hide his real personality.
Moreover, I finally knew the name of my enemy. I didn’t notice, but he somehow managed to hide it until now. It was only a name, but he didn’t want to tell me. Perhaps it had some meaning, or it was only a grudge, I don’t know.
“So, are you here to stop me as well?” (Daniel)
“Haha. If I could I would, yes. But my answer is no. I’m here to give my son something, during these last moments of mine.” (Primus)
Daniel smiled as soon as he heard the words last moments.
“Fine do whatever you want. But do me a favour and die fast, so I can finally get free from this damn seal.” (Daniel)
Primus only smiled back at him. It made Daniel angry again, but the thought of Dad soon dying calmed him down. We went a few steps apart so only I could hear my father’s words.
“It seems you have been doing pretty well my son.” (Primus)
He started the dialogue as if he was a normal father seeing his child again after a long time. I was confused and it was also shown on my face, because Dad started to laugh.

“Haha. Can’t I be proud of my son? Well I would love to chat longer, but I don’t have much time. The seal is taking away my lifeforce.” (Primus)
“Wouldn’t some magic attacks be enough to finish him off?” (Me)
“Normally yes, but as soon as the seal breaks, he will recover his full strength and magic will probably not even scratch him anymore.” (Primus)
He came here to make sure that I had a certain chance of winning.
“You wanted to give me something; are you talking about the sword?” (Me)
As soon as I said so, a sword appeared in front of me. Dad probably used something like my space inventory magic. I inspected the sword and after I finished, I was shocked.
“This… is a normal sword, right?” (Me)
“So, you can tell that from just looking at it. That means you are proficient in blacksmithing. This makes me even more proud as your father. Well, as you said, it’s a perfectly normal weapon, but it’s only a decoy so don’t worry.” (Primus)
I knew it wasn’t as simple as that. Or better I was relieved that he didn’t come just because of a simple sword.
“The real hidden card has already been within you since birth.” (Primus)
“What?” (Me)
“This black form you are currently using, if I’m not wrong you draw your energy from a dark sphere, am I correct?” (Primus)
During my time in prison, I researched everything I wanted; everything except the dark sphere. Not because I wasn’t motivated, but it wasn’t possible. It didn’t matter what I did, I got not results.
Now my father is the first person who talks as if he knows something about it, so I didn’t know how to respond correctly.
“To make it simple and short; due to a fight between us eleven gods, we divided the key into a white and into a black sphere. One of them can influence, while the other one can use the system.” (Primus)
My mind went blank. I finally realised it. They key; or half of the key which created everything was inside me.
“Is there a difference?” (Me)
“Well the white key can only influence the laws and rules of the system, it cannot directly use everything though. But, as you saw, with one or two tricks it’s possible.” (Primus)
I experienced it first-hand.
“On the other hand, the black key can use everything the system has, without any restraints, but it cannot influence it, nor can it be controlled by the system.” (Primus)
“So, the reason why I didn’t die when Lucy was born was…” (Me)
“Correct. Your part of the key made you immune to the curse of us gods and with it you survived.” (Primus)
“I…” (Me)
“I know you have many questions, but this is as far as I can go. I wish you good luck my son.” (Primus)
The situation emerged into something I already experienced once. Primus’s body suddenly started glowing. It transformed into a light and shortly after, into a sphere of mana and dispersed afterwards. I watched the scene from the beginning until the end without moving an inch.
“Haha. Finally, I’m free.” (Daniel)
There was a single person who rejoiced on my father’s death. Both, my enemy and I were at full strength and after a short pause, the second round was about to start.
