One day before the link from Hana

Somewhere in Sokyo, Shapan

A man was staying in the CEO room of a damaged office, sitting behind a desk.

“*hmpf* It's taking a while. Did they not receive my voice link?” The man said.

Suddenly an individual entered the room.

“Interesting voice message you sent me mister Gi..” The other man got interrupted.

“I said that we would use code names till "we get there". We must always be cautious in case somebody is tapping in our conversations.” The man nagged.

“Alright Blue.”

“I only came here because I am interested in what you mentioned.” The other man mentioned.

“Ascension right, White?” Blue said.

“Is it really true that there is a possibility to upgrade my magic again after awakening?”

“I said that I am not sure and that I will research it. In return for helping me.”

“You said that you were not able to awaken, does it mean you still use mana?” White asked.

“Yes.” Blue replied.

“I am sorry that it had to happen to you.” White empathised.

“I mean the fact that an about to be criminal has such empathy.” Blue laughed.

“The world is truly strange, my contractor.”

White walks over to a wall next to the entrance and leans against it.

“Can I ask a question?” He said.

“Sure go ahead.” Blue replied as he put his hands together.

“I wonder what drove you to do this? I mean invading a stronghold isn't what a crumble thief would do.” White questioned.

“Well, it's a long story. Care to listen?”

“Sure I don't have anything to do, since those bastards kicked me out of the elite squad saying that I don't have enough potential to become an Imperial mage.” White complained.

Blue looked at White with slight interest, but brushed that off and began talking.

“You see, when I was in elementary school nothing was wrong yet. I got the basic mana training and was able to keep up with the others.”

Blue clenched both of his fists and said:

“I remember the day I was supposed to awaken, everyone was there. They all awakened one by one until it was my turn. I stepped on the magic circle and it didn’t light up, I could remember all those surprised faces and their smiles afterwards. After the awakening ceremony my friends came up to me and called me a failure, weakling and ditched me just like that.” Blue took a breather and continued.

“I trained extra hard in middle school in order to catch up with the rest, which worked for the first year, but when the 2nd year came, the difference between the awakened and me became too big. My dream was always to become a mage and suddenly everything came crashing down. I barely passed the magic cluster of middle school and applied for a technological studie in high school instead, which I finished with high grades. After that I immediately went to study Technology in a normal college and became a General Engineer.” Blue explained.

“Quite the career you have there, but what made you discover reawakening?” White commented.

“After I became a General Engineer I finished 2 projects which helped me to become stronger and I started to read about the Tower Of Discovery. We know we can awaken, but can we also awaken again to become more powerful and maybe people like me could get a 2nd chance. I went to the Technical University of Nyoto research faculty and asked if they could help with research on the Tower Of Discovery and they declined, saying that this study if it's proven that it can happen has a possibility of falling into the wrong hands and then we would have a serious problem.” Blue answered.

“So you took matters into your own hands.” White added.

“Yes, I will do my research in Sokyo and if they decline we will take it by force.” Blue replied.

Suddenly another person walked into the room.

It was a girl.

“So you must be yellow?” Blue asked.

“Yes.” She replied.

“You just missed his story.” White said.

“I don’t care about that, I am only here because I failed the college entrance tournament. It would make no sense to try again since I am simply not strong enough, so I goofed around for a year and became bored. I figured I would show up to the voice link to help you out and maybe get a reawakening too.” Yellow replied.

“I see so we are all on the same page.” Blue said.

White nodded.

“Pretty much” Yellow replied.

“Good now let's go over the plan, it is pretty simple. I sent a spy over to the stronghold and made him observe the surveilling groups. They have 5 in total of 2 people, 3 groups observe the right, left and back of the stronghold and the other 2 at the front. We will take out the 2 groups at the front and stand before the gateway, trying to make them work with us using the taken out groups as intimidation.” Blue explained.

“And if they say no?” White questioned.

“Then we defeat all of them and take the tower by force, because there is no way to get into the stronghold by stealth.” Blue answered.

“Well seems like a reasonable plan for me. I don’t mind beating the living crap out of weaklings.” Yellow said with a smile.

“We will meet tomorrow at 2:30 PM as it takes 15 minutes to get there by foot with our speed and just in time to meet the surveilling groups. Is that alright with you 2? Blue asked.

“Yes.” White replied.

Yellow nodded.

“Now you are allowed to go now.” Blue said.

White walked over to the door, turned around and said:

“See you tomorrow my contractor.”

“Yeah.” Blue replied.

Yellow waved goodbye and followed after White, both of them left the building.

Blue stood up from his desk and looked outside the window at the destroyed buildings and damaged streets.

Tomorrow will be the day I can finally get a step closer to my dream.
