The members of the Hong Yue Family were traveling from the Dark Ruins to Glory City .They had found a mysterious item that had the appearance of a black jade pot with a translucent and sparkling gem like shine on it. The Hong Yue Family was one of the more powerful aristocratic family of Glory City having influence over multiple other families while also owning an auction house .The item they found in the dark ruins would be sold at the Hong Yue's Auction House .

Leaves of the forest around them began to fall and sway in the wind .This occurrence greatly alarmed the members of the Hong Yue's family as the leaves were spinning all around them , trapping them in a cyclone of leaves .Multiple Members of the Hong Yue's Family shifted into their demon spirits .But the cyclone of leaves that was trapping them suddenly stopped as all the leaves covered the ground .The Hong Yue's family members turned to one another , if someone had any kind of explanation for what happened .Suddenly one of the members of the Hong Yue's family turned to where they kept the mysterious pot . And it was still there , subsequently , only confusion remained in the members of the Hong Yue Family.

Lin Lingtian observed the markings on the Nightmare Demon Pot and concluded that this item was connected to something maybe a pocket dimension and the markings on the outside were a part of an inactive inscription array that was the keyhole to the door connecting this item with the pocket dimension. As a true Cultivator , Lin Lingtian could feel the pure and dense soul force and it's monstrous amount hidden in the pocket dimension connected to the Nightmare Demon Pot .Lin Lingtian clicked his tongue , he couldn't break the inscription array mostly because he could see that it was not fully revealed and even if it was fully revealed , just breaking the inscription array would have made this item completely useless as the connection between the pot and pocket dimension would be lost . Now the question remained , how could he be able to naturally awaken this item and gain access to the pocket dimension .

Lin Lingtian threw ten demon spirit stones into the Nightmare Demon Pot, and operated the Nightmare Demon Pot with his soul force with Xiao Ning'er intently watching him .In just a moment, the Nightmare Demon Pot began lighting up, releasing a dazzling light. A flow of light began moving around inside. Lin Lingtian could see that after the ten lights rotated nonstop, they gradually merged together, forming into a thick mist.After around roughly ten minutes, the light from the Nightmare Demon Pot gradually dispersed. A demon spirit was like a spirit. It was moving around at the bottom of the pot.Lin Lingtian caught the demon spirit, then sealed it in a normal demon spirit stone.

However, after refining for sixty times, the best one that he got out of it was an Excellent level growth rate Fighter-type demon spirit. The rest were all Good level growth rate demon spirits . Who will be refined next .Lin Lingtian had planned to use the Nightmare Demon Pot to create extremely powerful demon spirits with a minimum of extraordinary growth rate and the mutations that are produced .But the way he was using the Nightmare Demon Pot seemed too inefficient and random as he didn't know what demon spirit would benefit from the talent amplification and mutations caused by the Nightmare Demon Pot .Lin Lingtian opened the lid of the pot and saw that Nightmare Demon Pot had a circular depression in the middle of the pot .Suddenly a idea formed in Lin Lingtian's head as he placed a demon spirit stone with a good growth rate in the center and placed 9 demon spirit stones outside as he flowed soul force into the Nightmare Demon Spirit Pot .

Well the results were surprising , due to his new method , not only did the demon spirit placed at the center get a boost in growth rate from good to extraordinary , it had also gained mutations that were impossible to see in its species which were found in completely different species .Looking at the pile of good , excellent and the 3 extraordinary demon spirit stones .Licking his lips , Lin Lingtian began to use appraisal on every demon spirit stone to find suitable out about their species and check out the thousands of scrolls with Xiao Ning'er , they had to find out about their abilities as he placed the most beneficial demon spirits in the center of the Nightmare Demon Pot and the kind of demon spirit that would bring beneficial mutations .

His Method and hard work had bore fruit with him creating 20 God Level Growth Rate Demon Spirits out of all the 10,000 demon spirit he had stolen from the City lord's Mansion Treasuries.He was even surprised by some of them as a few demon spirit actually achieved legend rank due to the amount of soul force being absorbed from Multiple Black Gold ranks inside the Nightmare Demon Pot .

Lin Lingtian smiled and separated the 5 God Growth rate Demon Spirits with Dragon Bloodline and 5 God Growth Rate Demon Beasts with Phoenix Bloodline .He had used many journals to find out if any of the demon spirits had dragon Bloodline and a phoenix bloodline as he had planned to merge the two bloodlines into one . Creating a demon spirit that would become his most powerful soldier.Lin Lingtian fcused his thoughts on the Nightmare Demon Pot as he placed the God Level growth rate Dragon Bloodline and Phoenix Bloodline demon spirits into it.He then activated the pot. Within the device, the ten demon spirits began devouring each other.Lin Lingtian concentrated his entire mind on the tendemon spirits at the bottom of the Nightmare Demon Pot. Under his control, the mutated demon spirit began to devour the other demon spirits.

First one, second one...

The mutated demon spirit changed and grew more powerful every time it devoured one .

A Dragon and A Phoenix .

Lin Lingtian's heart jumped wildly. It would soon enter the last phase!

The last two demon spirits fused and devoured each other. The Nightmare Demon Pot gave off a blazing energy and began shaking with force.It looked like it was about to explode!The two demon spirits that remained in the pot were both extremely powerful. Neither one could devour the other; however, they were beginning to fuse. If the energy destabilised, it'd cause an explosion and the demon spirits would be reduced to nothing!As that thought crossed Lin's mind, his heart was no longer able to remain calm. He instantly pour all of this soul force into the bottom of the Nightmare Demon Pot, forcefully suppressing the two demon spirits that were about to explode. The entire Nightmare Demon Pot glowed Scarlet red as a surge of energy revolved inside.After the Nightmare Demon Pot absorbed the released energy, a mysterious pattern gradually formed on its surface. The design looked like a hybrid between a dragon and a Phoenix with it's wings spread wide; however, the design was also extremely faint and hard to discern. Lin Lingtian had no idea what these changes meant but he could feel it the door to the pocket dimension within the Nightmare Demon Pot was slightly opening .

( ~ Gulp ~ )

Lin Lingtian could only grit his teeth , he wanted to absorb that pure soul force inside the Nightmare Demon Pot but then he knew that if that happened due to the unimaginable purity of soul force he might advance to the Gold rank and trigger a Heavenly Tribulation and without the prior set up of the cocoons it was a death wish as the Heavenly Tribulation would be more stronger and deadlier this time .Shaking his head , Lin Lingtian ignored the Heavenly Energy from the pocket dimension of the Nightmare Demon Pot and channeled his soul force to suppress the violent soul force coming from the demon spirits that were fusing . The two demon spirits that had been on the edge of exploding finally underwent slight transformations as they slowly merged a little more.

Suppressed by Lin's all Attributed and Attributeless soul force , the two demons spirits calmed their clash a little.After roughly an hour, it felt like his supply of Soul Force was nearly depleted.However, he could sense that the two demon spirits were almost done fusing, so he didn't want to cut off the stream.

It was about to succeed! Lin Lingtian didn't want to give up here!Suppressed by Lin Lingtian's soul force the two demon spirits finally completed their fusion and became one. In that instant, a blazing light burst from the bottom of the Nightmare Demon Pot.

After a brief moment later, that light slowly dulled down.A single demon spirit quietly floated at the bottom of the Nightmare Demon Pot.

Soul Strands are not that easily created as the attachment to an item must be so much that even in death , he / she doesn't want to leave that item behind . A soul strand also contains the memories of the one who it originated from .

Xiao Ning'er and Lin Lingtian looked at each other and nodded as they sensed the endless about of unimaginable pure soul force from a certain direction .Lin Lingtian looked at the soul strand of Sheng Mu and channeled soul force through his second heart as the ankh's cross over his heart glowed .An ethereal cross formed at the back of Lin Lingtian's hand as the soul strand of Sheng Mu disappeared .Inside Lin Lingtian's mind a stone tablet began to form as the memories of Sheng Mu were being carved on the stone tablet .

Lin Lingtian's astral form only wanted one thing and that was Sheng Mu's Cultivation Technique that allowed him to turn into lightning .

He had planned to give this to Xiao Ning'er even though the Technique was useless to her as due to his soul shard inside her dantian she also enjoyed from his statuses because the circulation of soul force to turn your body into lightning was a useful ability to have , even though he is not going to use it because it will clash with the way the War God's Techniques soul force circulation but Xiao Ning'er does not have that problem so it would be great help to her abilities .
