Falling Brick potion
Mortal tier recipe. No cultivation requirements
As opposed to a falling human, the brick is less likely to break something on a fall, but not entirely.
Originally created by a mortal with a great desire to groom his moustache without fear of pain, but in a bout of inattention added the completely wrong ingredient. Another potion made by complete accident, but these effects were only discovered by the man’s son drinking the unknown potion before he could dispose of it. Quite lucky the boy survived really, but it didn’t take long to realise the boy slightly resisted the force of falling a small distance. In the end mass producing the cheap potion to reduce the number of broken bones in adventurous children like his son.
Ingredients and recipe Neurotic nightshade, 1 flower – non magical poisonous flower Copperpetal, 2 flower – non magical flower Rooted Weightberry, 4 berries – natural gathering stage fruit Any magical seed oil, 30 ml – natural gathering stage fluid
Do note that this recipe is refined over the original which just dumped the juice of several weightberries into a solution of the nightshade and Copperpetal. This version greatly improves the potion’s stability and effects, otherwise we wouldn’t use it.
Although all the parts of the nightshade contain poison, it can be troublesome to include the stamen due to hay fever in some children. Meanwhile the pistil proves more of a nuisance than a useful plant part, not to mention its relative toughness makes it far harder to leech our weak neurotoxin from it.
Copperpetals are an orange, coppery flowering plant. Their petals contain a dilute oil that can reinforce the skin, muscles, and tendons of a mortal. For this reason we only ever care about the petals of this flower unless you’re a gardener that wants to keep the other parts.

Rooted weightberries are primarily a nuisance plant since their roots are innumerable and grow downwards of 10 metres. Additionally, their berries cause the effect of increasing your weight temporarily, and the effect is stackable by consuming more berries. Some extremely old ones have such extreme root cultures that even peak natural gathering stage cultivators are rendered useless.
Seed oil is seed oil. You should use natural gathering seeds, but there’s no inherent danger of using spirit forming stage seeds. Do note that going above this will increase the poison’s effect by too much, so don’t even try it!
Pluck all the petals into a preheated saucepan with a teaspoon (5 ml) of the magical seed oil. Leave the petals to simmer for 5 minutes, and no longer than that. Make sure to stir it regularly to ensure the poison is adequately extracted and enhanced.
While the petals are simmering, start mushing up the weightberries. Continuously add a drop of seed oil every 3 seconds while crushing the berries. If your tool runs out of seed oil then stop the crushing to get more, you have to continue until no lumps of berry flesh are left.
With 5 minutes up, you can add the copperpetals and enhanced weightberry juice to your simmering nightshade. Remember to add any remaining seed oil here and allow the mixture to reduce, as necessary. You want a creamy consistency, not syrupy. You’ll know the potion is nearing completion by not only consistency, but also its purplish-black colour.
After that’s done, filter the product through a thin cloth to remove any small solids and the petals. The remaining fluid is bottled and you’ve finished a Falling brick potion.
Usage
A waste of materials, to waste on the weak! – Exasperated denier Kane when talking about his first completed version of this potion.

The actual effectiveness of the potion is rather vague, since measuring the exact damage a person will take when falling from a height is tough to measure. In general it can be concluded into two major effects, drink this potion to activate them:
A person will take practically no damage when falling a distance less than 5 metres and landing on their feet. This rule breaks if landing on another part of your body, especially something like your head where you may still die instantly from the collision. This effect is due to a temporary reinforcement from the enhanced copperpetal oils, which will also help against all blunt impacts.
Secondly, it reduces the acceleration due to gravity by 20%. This means that your terminal velocity will be lower at any point than someone without the potion.
The nightshade will also cause the overall pain you feel to be reduced, but this effect is not just limited to falling.

City of Champions Online

She's tried other VRMMORPGs, but they've all been fantasy-based, with a couple sci-fi games thrown in. But she wants something more, something Super. But then she heard about City of Champions Online. For the first time, a developer partnered with a tabletop RPG maker to use their system to create a VRMMORPG, and it was one of the systems designed to be used with superhero games! And despite the name, there was no getting stuck in the same city as all the other players. The game world was a detailed replica of the real world, down to having some of the same shops and restaurants in town. She could be whoever she wanted, whatever she wanted.
