Sunlight swarming
Mortal tier recipe. No cultivation requirements
Some like the bright, warm sunshine, others despise it. This glass is excellent for both groups of people, and more would use it if not for glass being exorbitant in most less developed places.
Unsurprisingly, it was once again created for a mortal king with a penchant for sunny days. At the same time having to deal with his wife who disliked the harsh light, but in her defence she burnt really easily. The royal alchemists really could not make heads or tails of this request, how could they make a type of glass that amplifies and blocks lights?
Well, they did. And all it took was developing a potion called Sunlight swarming, then carefully coating some windows in it.
Ingredients and recipe Solar blossom, 1 flower – non magical plant Lunar droplet, 30 grams – non magical mineral Mid-tier enchanted water, 80 ml – Spirit forming grade fluid Any Qi separating crystal, 50 grams – natural gathering stage crystal Kinetic rebound quartz dust, 5 grams – non magical mineral (Optional) Soft water, 15 ml – natural gathering stage fluid
As I said, not anywhere close to a cheap thing for a mortal. You can’t even use natural gathering stage solar/lunar plants since the Qi adjoined to it will completely overpower the glass and shatter it after a full day night cycle.
Back on topic. Solar blossom is a mortal flower that holds a small amount of solar radiance, storing an even small quantity of yang Qi as a result. Its nectar is excellent for sore throats, but we only care about the flower itself in this case.
Lunar droplet is a surface mineral that condenses off cliff faces that feel the moon's glow. Before fully condensing they take on a gelatinous form, forming a sort of tear drop shape before setting as the mineral they are. They look nice if that means anything.

Mid-tier enchanting water is impossible to make as a natural gathering stage cultivator, yet this recipe requires it anyway. Feel free to make it in the same method as the low-tier variant, just use 20x more Qi. It may take a few days to gather the 80 ml asked by the optimized version of the recipe.
For optimal results you should use a crystal that normally separates yang and yin Qi, but if that isn’t available then any two elements will do. The only requirement is that the crystal is in the natural gathering stage, so space and time crystals simply will not do. The lowest of those elements is a destiny chasing stage ingredient.
The rebound quartz is often troublesome to mine due to doing as its name says. Due to this, the safest way to mine it is digging around it carefully. Of course, a cultivator can completely overpower its kinetic reflection and crush it. Alternatively, very heavy objects can do the same, which is why grain mills are a common favourite for mortals.
Soft water is a convenient liquid that many natural gathering stage cultivators use to bathe themselves. It can be considered a half-living being, but really it’s more like a jellyfish in that it simply reacts to stimuli. Just make sure you clean the water of any impurities before using it.
Grind up the solar blossom whole, and then add the Lunar droplet. Coat the droplet in the crushed flower, and drop it directly into whatever is containing your enchanted water. Now we wait…
For 3 whole days. Sorry that this recipe is so long.
After the waiting period, of which you should be checking on the crystal daily, you will notice the greatest change after the third day. The previous crystal will have completely dissolved into yin water and some left over solar blossom will have fallen to the bottom. You may notice frost starting to form on this residue plant matter, this means that it’s completely lost its radiant property and can be thrown out.

With your abnormally gentle mixture of opposing Qi, we can begin turning it into a potion. This is where you can use the soft water if you have any on hand. Simply drop it into the container for your yinyang mixture and periodically pull it out with a glass rod. It will travel up the rod on its own, just give it the path.
You will notice the soft water has grown in mass. Prepare a dry container for it to dump this extra mass and repeat this process until the soft water no longer sucks up anything from the yinyang mixture. This will return all the unused enchanted water to you. There is no adverse effect to leaving it in unless you count wasted money as one.
This last step is often called the hardest, but things like the use of kinetic rebound quartz makes it far easier. Begin by dropping the yinyang mixture, rebound quartz dust, and separating crystal all into a container of your choice. You will now need to wait half an hour for the mixture to fully separate with the rebound quartz dust between the two.
With the quartz dust acting as a thin film separating the two liquids properly, you can focus on using a precise object to remove one of the two liquids. I cannot stress this enough. You must separate the two liquids completely. Even just a single leftover drop will ruin that entire potion of fluid.
There are no do-overs. Reseparating simply does not work after this time, so don’t screw up.
I personally used a syringe for this step, alongside a convenient tool that displayed any yin and yang Qi concentrations. Neither is strictly necessary, but they both help immensely.
If you separated it properly then you’ve formed the sunlight swarming, a potion which actually takes the form of two separate liquids.
Usage
Unlike normal potions, this one has no effect if drunk. Hmm… I suppose you could count its abnormal temperature as an effect. The solar potion will drastically heat you up for half an hour while the lunar potion will drop your temperature into a deadly range for the same period.
I don’t see why you’d drink it as a mortal. If you want to be a human that dies from organ failure rather than the bone piercing winds in the cold, then go ahead. Similar application to the lunar potion if you want to die of hypothermia.
It’s actual use is for window coatings. The exact method of use is rather precise, and in some places considered an art. I won’t go into the details, but the liquids are applied by spreading it over the glass and left to dry. The lunar potion must be used first, with the solar potion’s coating sitting atop. With certain layering techniques you can force all the light to only shine through one side of the glass.
Do note though, that if you have all sunlight go to the left side, all the moonlight will end up on the right.

Ravyn's Nights - Book 3
Claire's life led her to love. Love led her to death. Death began her eternal struggle to retain both her love and her humanity through 5 centuries of endless nights. Book 3 covers the 19th century. "Ravyn's Nights" is a six book series, with each book covering a different century. Book 6 was actually started first, and it takes place in the near future, bringing the story to a final conclusion. I then started writing the rest of the series when I decided that I wanted to share the details of the life that made her into who she is in Book 6. At the time of posting the first chapter of the series, books 1-2-3 are completed and books four, five and six are in various states of completion. There is currently a novella following a side character that does include a few crossover chapters featuring the main character. The novella will be included in the completed versions of books 4 and 5.

NOTE: This story is progression fantasy with some very basic litRPG elements (such as a wristband that shows a character's stats). It is not a full on litRPG - it's a progression fantasy story with litRPG elements. The story will contain some romance, but it will not be explicit nor will it take over the story. It starts off slow, but will pick up speed quickly around chapter 26. Enjoy! My Best Friend is an Eldritch Horror was origonally started as a way to thank my patreons. I will be keeping the patreon updated 15 chapters in advance. Enjoy! Cover art by Skyedrun!

Good Guy Necromancer
Necromancers are murderous, repulsive, utterly ungodly creatures. And then there's Jerry. Jerry is a novice necromancer who treats his undead warmly, seeks to befriend people instead of harvest their bodies, and doesn't mind cracking a skull or two when needed. He genuinely is a good guy—too bad nobody believes him. Jerry tries to settle down, wanting nothing but a peaceful life for him and his undead—and, when that doesn't quite work out, he sets out to adventure. He will make friends, each unique in their own way, and together, they will travel through a variety of striking environments; from a tiny village, to the land of the dead, to a jolly archipelago, to a kingdom on a beanstalk. To save a world that shuns him, Jerry must stand against a large organization of arrogant, mighty wizards. He strives to become stronger while maintaining his kindness, only to realize that, maybe, gentle hearts make the greatest necromancers. This is the story of a delightful man in a harsh world—full of warmth, action, and wise-cracking bone puns. Chapters are usually 2-3k words, and updates are 3/week: Mon, Wed, Fri. If you're looking for another fun, action-packed adventure, check out Cultivator vs. System by yours truly, available on Kindle, KU, and Audible. But read Good Guy Necromancer first.
