Hello ladies and gentleman...and you neutral beings.
Welcome to my Teaser and Discussion topic. I had this idea when it came to me that I'm a slow writer, and even slower editor; Why not tease the readers with pieces of the chapter I'm currently writing?!
Well...it's pretty lame and quite sadistic of me, since it could be totally a lie (I like editing my chapters a lot, so most of the stuff I write suffer changes) and I'd probably be a mean person and post the most awesome part of chapter, but the basic layout would be already there.
Also, this is a good topic for you to discuss what you've thought about the story so far, and what you're predicting for the future. Its not only for stealing your ideas, but it also works as a boost for me when writing.
This is a spoiler zone, so its highly recommended that you're up to date with current FF chapter before reading further.
Teaser Chapter 8.
Quote:Kvothe logged back in game and found himself sitting on the bed where he had left. He rose from the bed and made the usual set of movements he found helped him readapt to his ingame body. Immediately after, he opened the door and went into the living room.
Sunlight bathed him as he entered the room, and he saw that night had ended. Jurgen and Arthur were sitting there, talking with Cain. He could hear the buzz of people below. Lorraine had already opened the shop and was already working hard.
“Good morning, masters.” He greeted bowing his head.
“Good morning, Kvothe.” Cain answered, “Do you have a moment?”
The noise coming from the people downstair grew louder. Lorraine needed help.
“Will it be fast?” He asked his masters, “I think Lorraine need some help downstairs.”

“It will take a while.” Cain said, “But its important enough to keep you from Lorraine a bit longer.”
Kvothe raised an eyebrow at the masters, wondering what was so important that couldn’t wait a few more minutes. He sat on a sofa opposite to the three older men and noticed that they all had wrapped packages. What the heck was going on?
“Hirao Kvothe.” Arthur started, “It’s only been a few weeks since you’ve started learning from us. However, we’ve already run out of things to teach you.”
“You’ve shown all qualities a great swordsman should possess.” Jurgen continued the speech immediately, “Patience, perseverance and wisdom. And above all, a talent with the sword that is only seen once every one hundred years.”
‘Did they rehearse this speech?!’ Kvothe held back his laughter.
“Therefore,” Cain continued, “You’re from now on a swordsman of Yukimura School.”

Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.
