《Finding Stardust》Chapter 42 - Living Like A Lee

Alex didn't tease Emma further. He knew something must have happened between the two to make the girl blush like that. He could kind of guess what the two had done, but as a good friend of theirs, he only smiled knowingly and kept the thought to himself.
After everyone had boarded the plane and got comfy in their respective seats, the plane prepared to take off. Emma sat in the same row as Alex and the other seats around them were vacant.
She pulled out a small travel pillow and a blanket, so she could rest as soon as the seatbelt sign was turned off. Their trip to Singapore would last for 12 hours, so she would feel better if she tried to sleep right away.
"Psst... Haoran said you shouldn't sleep here," Alex whispered to Emma when he saw her getting her blanket ready. "Once all the lights are turned off, he'll send a flight attendant to take you to his place."
"Really?"
"He said you have to get used to living like a Lee"—Emma frowned again so Alex hurriedly added—"Geez, I'm still joking, you know, Emma. Boss mentioned he had something he wanted to talk to you about."
"Hmm... okay."
Emma was a little confused. Why did Haoran ask Alex to tell Emma about it when Haoran could have told her himself, right? In the end, she shrugged away the thought and waited until the lights were turned off.
Sure enough, fifteen minutes later, when the plane was flying steadily at 39,000 feet (11.89 km) above sea level, and all the cabin lights were off, a flight attendant came to their seats and greeted Emma respectfully. "Good evening, Miss. Could you please come with me? Please kindly bring your bag with you."

Emma nodded. She unloaded her backpack from the overhead bin. And after saying goodbye to Alex, she followed the flight attendant to the very back of the plane, up the stairs to the second floor.
They passed through the business class cabins, followed by the first-class and soon arrived at a large lounge for the business and first-class passengers. There was a full bar with comfy sofas for them to relax, enjoy food, drink, and mingle with their fellow upper-class passengers.
After the lounge, there were several showers cabins, and finally, in the most forward part of the plane, there were four suites for the wealthiest passengers who wanted to enjoy the experience of flying commercially in a suite decorated like a hotel room when they don't want to use their private jets.
Each suite was equipped with a double bed for a maximum of two people, a nice sofa, a private bathroom, and various amenities. It looked like a smaller version of a five-star hotel room. The flight attendant brought Emma to the very end of the aisle and knocked on the door to the suite on the left.
"Good evening, Young Master Lee. Miss Emma is here."
The door opened and Haoran's greeted them with a cheerful face. He nodded to the flight attendant, who immediately excused herself, and waved at Emma. "Hey, come on in.
Emma entered the suite and immediately admired its contents.
'Ahh... what a nice suite,' she thought.
"This plane has four suites, but only two were used on this flight. I asked this one for you, so you can sleep well during the flight," Haoran said. "Alex and the others actually wanted to come here as well, but I thought if you were all missing from your seats, the others would be suspicious. So, I decided to give it only to you."

"Oh..." Emma nodded. She cast her gaze around the beautiful room, and her eyes landed on the very comfortable-looking bed. Suddenly, she was feeling sleepy.
Haoran led her in to show her around. He opened a cupboard and showed its contents.
"Here are the pajamas and robes. You can change your clothes with the pajamas provided so you can sleep better. You can also bring them home if you want." He took one smaller set and gave them to Emma. "I think this one's your size."
Emma accepted them awkwardly. Uhm... thanks."
"There's a minibar by the counter, and you can find juice, soda, water, etc. there. If you're feeling naughty and want to drink some wine, I won't tell anyone... hahaha." Haoran opened the suite's private bathroom and showed off the upscale branded toiletries and fancy towels with a small but compact shower. "If you'd like, you can take a shower before you sleep to make you feel fresh in bed and shower in the morning before we land. Mind you, the hot water only runs for 15 minutes each time."
After telling Emma what was in her suite, Haoran walked out. "Later, when it's time for breakfast, I'll knock on your door so we can have breakfast together. My room's next door."
Emma was still stunned by her beautiful suite. She couldn't believe she'd be flying in the most expensive cabin. This was really unexpected.
"Uhm... this is great. Thank you, Haoran," she said as she escorted Haoran to the door.
"Ahaha, it's nothing. I just want to get you used to living like a Lee," Haoran said, grinning.

If you’re good at something, never do it for free. That’s what Ludgar’s uncle taught him. Sellswording isn’t the most glamorous life, but it pays well if you’re good at it. At his side: a wandering barbarian who teeters on the edge of savagery, a girl who would have a heart of gold if she didn’t pawn it off to the nearest fence, a wannabe knight who is absolutely overcompensating for something, and the last person in the universe who should be anywhere close to magic.
