Chapter 91: Declaration of the End
Yuri Dragunov
I’ve been watching the whole time.
Here, in this dark cold night, in front of the red planet that is about to fall into this world. Sitting on top of this very cathedral as I witness another war in my own very eyes, I’ve been washing my face and my hands with a river of blood. I’ve seen the beginning of the first, second, third, and this fourth dragonoid war, and I shall see the end of the last bloodbath. After this…after the Necross Ascension, there shall be no war. Everything and everyone will be at peace.
The clashes of this winter skies never failed to impress me with it’s beauty. Everyone calls the battles of the sky as pain and agony, but for me, it is all just a dot in the painting I’ve been working out. A painting of blood, to be precise.
I have been watching the whole world with the hologram screen in front of me. In this live newsfeed, is the news all around not just the empire, but the whole world. The dragonoids are furious about the massacre I did, for the empire’s name’s expense. They are rallying in the streets, burning human villages, and fighting the empire’s guards with force. The Fourth Dragonoid War is at it’s peak.
But there is one anomaly that disrupts our ultimate plan.
Hundreds of meters below me is the man who is standing between me and Alterra’s true destiny; Amphere Harrison, together with the Crimson Dragonfly Airelina Frembell. I never foresaw that they are able to make Nox’s zombies fight against us, but it shouldn’t matter. 387 kill counts more and the Underworld shall fall into this wicked place.
Nox readied his sword. Doing this, the demonic circle stopped glowing. It will be a big deal for us since he won’t be able to supply mana to those undead he summoned. But he should be wary of the Dragonoid Saint more. I can’t see that priestess, but I’m sure Amphere will be using his trump card as soon as we let down our guard.

The battle has now been started! Estoff Wraith made his first move by whooshing forward, and delivered a heavy side hack! Nox stepped back, but it wasn’t enough to evade it. Instead, Nox used his buster sword to block it! Then Rudolf Azregon’s turn, he made an uppercut scratch attack with his Chaos Claws to Nox’s arm, which was immediately dissolved! The buster sword spun on the air three times, before it got tucked to the ground. These zombies are as troublesome as when they are alive!
The two zombie knights who turned against us jumped away to give way to Amphere’s charged attack! It was his gigantic skeleton robot, channeling photon particles in its mouth and gave off a deafening blast! The blue blaster destroyed everything on its wake, also dissolving Nox’s skin and all the way to his muscular system! Only his head remained intact, but his body…looks like a burnt turkey.
But Nox is still alive. He is the greatest necromancer that is immortal after all. He got up like that attack means nothing to him and continued to give a malicious smile.
“I should’ve known that I won’t stand a chance against the three of you. That is why I will fight you seriously!”
Nox revealed his hand which was completely covered with burnt mess. It began to regenerate the veins and blood started flowing from everywhere on his body. Then, with his newly regenerated arm, he picked up his sword and coated it with his own flesh. Now, his buster sword is crimson blood with some random eyes tucked on it.
There was some telepathic message that entered the three enemy knight’s minds from their dragons who were just watching the fight the whole time. So the knights dispersed away as Nox made a heavy slash, breaking atoms in the thin air as it made a micro nuclear explosion!

There were smoke everywhere, but when my vision clears, Nox is already covered with armor nothing like no other. It was made with flesh, beating skinned muscles and every movement he makes gives off blood sprinkles. The only part of his body that is not covered with the disgusting meat armor is his head. Now Nox’s eyes are bloodshot red, the same as dragonoid’s, but with more visible dark veins. He now looks more like a real dark lord but according to him, he is just a messenger from the underworld.
A messiah from hell, Necross. But I do believe that demons like him will hold his part of the bargain. He will make my wish come true. Those 666,666,666 murder deaths will mean nothing to me, so long as I could meet my wife and children. And peace to this useless world.
The three knights are not injured. Amphere has his shield plate all the way, but now it’s on fifty percent. The two zombie knights certainly took a lot of damage like those bruises and ruptures, but the fact that they are already zombies makes it easier for them to absorb the pain, if they are still feeling it at all.
“Oh, you can still withstand that?” Nox arrogantly asked.
My attention was diverted when there was a newsflash on my screen. A live coverage from the journalists from all over the world. The camera had it focused on the golden sword with wings below the crown; the symbol of the Princess Serenity Elkyria. It must’ve been taken on the royal palace. But at this hour? It’s exactly twelve midnight. It is a critical message to everyone, for sure. It might be a state of calamity address, or…something else.
The princess took her presence to the stage with the Corasell brat and the traitorous Arcadian kid. All the media personnel held their silence as the princess loudly spoke.
“My fellow citizens of Alterra. Tonight, we are experiencing a huge crisis regarding our races. Dragonoid protests everywhere, and the war still wages on some places. That is why, I am here, in front of you, not as a princess, but an instrument of peace. I am here to make the empire the place for peace and equality, to us, to our friends, to our families and to our children. Tonight, blood shall be removed from each other’s hands, humans and dragonoids alike. Hear me, citizens of Alterra! This pointless war shall end at this very moment! I shall grant everyone freedom, for the greater good of everyone! I hereby declare the Dragonoid Rights Law, to be effective, to this very second!”
I can hear the dragonoids all over the world screaming for joy as they watch the garbage piece of paper being signed by that damned princess.
My whole body shook as I stepped backwards. Then I made a continuous laugh that echoed through the dark skies.
Idiots.
The Dragonoid Rights Law matters nothing to me at this point.
The Murder Death Count is already at 666,666,665.

Jalan Suram : The 100 Fire Holders
"Why us?" Still staring at the unusually stationary fire of the candle he was holding, Agung voiced the questions in our mind. "Out of 2 million people living in this city, why are we the chosen ones?" As if on cue, the eerie laughter of children could be heard above us. Holding our own candle tightly, we resolved to ignore them and continued our discussion. It was a matter of life or death after all. More than half of the initial participants had fallen and the building became more crowded as the result. There were now more ghosts than the living and each step was filled with danger from the unknown. Either we solved all the questions now or we would become another addition to the ghost camp. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was one thing Novita found out after she accepted an invitation to a suspicious event from a seemingly legal company. Crowded didn't exactly mean safe. As more and more variables were added to the dangerous ritual, the higher the risk of death. At the same time, the higher the risk was, the better the rewards for it. But in the end, was it worth it? Note : This series was posted on scribblehub.com under the same name.
