when I got to them without wasting time I went for the decapitation of each them with my Sharingan flaring at my enemies and like that, I killed one with the rest barely escaping as his body fell to the ground, the blood field which had been surrounding us started to fluctuate, bubbling and holes at the top but just as it was starting to fall apart... it stopped, before reforming itself and being the same as it was earlier
confusion was written all over their faces before turning into complete bemuse and did the tiger seal which left them nothing but shocked. While looking me with wide eyes their bodies dropped dead on the floor
After releasing the jutsu I went up to all of them to look for a scroll and luckily I found an earth and a heaven scroll
' They must have known about the others scroll, huh? ' guess there's more than what meets the eye sometimes
( killed mid-chunin X6 = 498 exp )
( leveled up 5 times )
( current level: 46 )
( to next: 85.9 exp )
seeing this had gotten me in a better mood. The only reason I was able to reform the blood field after nearly running out of chakra was because I had absorbed their chakra not only that but the blood field can only be used in one on one or one on six in my case because it not only weakens my enemies it also weakens allies I have with me
Getting up and leaving I ran to the tower in the middle of the forest and on the way there I was not interrupted by anyone besides the bugs and animals I had been forced to kill.

When I got to the tower Chieko and Suzemi were already waiting By the entrance for me
" That took longer than expected what happened? " Chieko asked getting up followed by Suzemi
" nothing important, " I said walking to the front door and walking inside only to see a bunch of words in front of us on a wall written in something I did not recognize
" it's something about opening scrolls heaven and earth " Suzemi's voice came from behind
" I think we have to open the scrolls at the same time " He continued
" Ok, I can't think of anything better " Chieko added
" Well then, let us hurry, " I said taking out the earth scroll I had and at the same time Chieko took out the heaven scroll we started with putting them down we opened the scrolls at the same time what came out was a puff of smoke then a person we had never met showed
" You passed go through the door, goodbye, " he said then left with another puff of smoke
" Well he was a dick, " Chieko said as we entered the through the door. On the other side was a lot of pathways and a metal rail handle and below that was an arena and a screen at the top right of the arena as we kept looking a person came up to us
" hello since you are the first ones here and Broke the record with three hours twenty-one minutes you get the best room in the towers with a kitchen and bathroom in your rooms " He spoke before asking if we had any questions
" What if you can't cook? " Suzemi asked looking embarrassed
" There is a cafeteria northeast of where we are currently standing, " The guy said pointing in a direction
" Thank you, " he said before asking again
" Where exactly are our rooms? "
" I'll show you now if you would please come with me, " he said before starting to walk and we started to follow
when we got to the rooms mine was first, without saying anything I simply walked in. as I got inside I did the blood clone jutsu before falling asleep

A Hardness of Minds
(35 Chapters >70,000 words, edited version available on Amazon) A Near-Future Hard Sci-Fi about Data, War, and First Contact in our Solar System. Life exists under Europa’s ice, but there’s doubt in the data. Against of backdrop of escalating tensions, double-sided revelations of first contact ripple through all involved as the probe attempts the first landing on the ice of Europa. The novel intertwines perspectives of Earth and under Europa as all struggle for truth. For fifteen years, the Europa Clipper has hinted at life under the ice-shell of Europa. An eccentric mogul, bent on expanding his legacy—funds and launches the first privately funded probe to Jupiter. The robotic submarine can reach the ocean floor and returning by an expertly trained AI. Tensions flare between the United States and China, while cyberattack threatens the project. Meanwhile, Dalton, a self-sabotaging synthetic data engineer, longs to make a name for himself in the scientific community, even at the cost of being infamous. Unknown to Earth, alien society has penetrated up the kilometers of ice, and has long researched ‘Nullworld,’ the mysterious ‘ether’ beyond the ice from which no sonar returns. Tensions in their global society have escalated as their city-state fights with a neighbor whose hydrothermal vent has run cold. Now the military caste is in control, halted all research, and pressed capable scientists and engineers into militia service. The alien scientist must escape and bring back research he hopes will diffuse tensions: the revelation of another water world. This is the second hard sci-fi novel by author Eric Kay (No Lack of Sunshine). It explores issues of data integrity in the age of adversarial information warfare, moving minds away from the brink of war, and experience versus knowledge by proxy.

The Dreamside Road
Five years after the world fell into chaos, a treasure of artifacts is up for grabs. The relics of the Dreamside Road offer a power that could help rebuild or annihilate what remains. Orson Gregory is an adventurer for hire, but hunts this treasure for answers, not glory. Enoa Cloud’s late aunt helped hide the Dreamside Road, but following in her aunt’s supernatural tradition offers her as much peril as power. Together, Orson and Enoa battle a magic-obsessed militia, clash with a host of rivals, and face constant adventure on their journey to find the Dreamside Road. *Updates Monday and Friday The Dreamside Road is now on TopWebFiction! Vote so people know this exists. _____________________________________ NOTE: The Progression tag applies specifically to Enoa. Also, fair warning, that element doesn't enter the story until she begins her studies. Content: Main characters range in age from teenagers to people in their thirties and older, but it will not contain gratuitous violence or explicit sexual content. It also won’t shy away from implication, anything to make this story and its world feel more real. Characters will freely allude to potentially triggering topics, including living with a disability, facing terminal illness, coping with trauma, surviving societal destabilization, and the consequences of bigotry. At its most intense, the Dreamside Road is a hard PG-13. Worldbuilding: This is not a story with a lot of early exposition scenes, conveniently explaining ‘magic systems’ and political dynamics. Readers will learn, progressively, as the characters do. This story/world has a ‘magic system’, or rather, a set of systems, but the effort to quantify and understand the truth of the setting plays a role in the backstory, as well as in some character motivations. In that same vein, not every character has a firm grasp on the nature of their world, and not every piece of dialog from every character should be taken as entirely truthful Worldbuilding. Also, this isn't the softest Sci-fi. There are at least some basic explanations given for various elements, but Royal Road does not give me a spectrum to choose from. Given the choice between hard and soft, let's just say The Dreamside Road won't be cited in any college Physics papers. Setting and Theme: The Dreamside Road walks the line between fantasy and science fiction and deals with finding one’s place in a changing world. Many of the characters in this story are United States natives and the story begins in the United States, my homeland. However, knowledge or interest in this country is not necessary to understand the story, especially as it progresses. Also, as this is a novel that deals with societal collapse and while that damage may be widespread, in story, I don’t want to overstep and critique the culture of others’ unless I have particular knowledge in a given area. Ultimately, the Dreamside Road is American in the same way Harry Potter is English, fantasies that do not have a full secondary world, but with enough original elements to fully diverge the setting from our the real world.
