Leonard decided to go through the body tempering technique even after hearing all what Dan said.

"So do you think that after this I will be able to awake my ability?" Leonard asked as he was removing his cloths.

"There is a big chance that that will happen, you see usually natural awakening will happen after the power inside your body become way more then what your body can take, so like a flood it will start going through your body till it destroy something like a barrier and then you will be able to use it." Dan explained.

"After each blood bath your power got stronger, but because of the ice heart it was compressed keeping it shackled, actually I think that if not for the ice heart you would have already started feeling something different about your body, now I hope that after this body tempering technique, you will be able to awaken because from what we saw already, a season of body tempering using dragons blood is great for abilities, so what I want to do is to destroy the barrier which is keeping you from using your power in one swap, and that's by removing the ice heart after the blood bath this time, which will release all the compressed power inside you."

By the time Dan had finished his explanation Leonard had already removed his cloths and entered the tub, Dan dropped a drop of dragon blood in it, and after all the water becme red he started the body tempering technique just like how he did with Randy and the others, except that this time he didn't leave after finishing as he just grabbed a chair and set next to him, soon after he fall asleep.

The next morning he was awakened by the sound of water splashing, opening his eyes he saw Leonard setting in the tub confused while taking big breaths of air, seeing that he was still confused, Dan hurriedly moved next to him and took off the charm like thing on his neck, that was the ice heart it was put in a piece of cloth and used by Leonard like a charm or a necklace.

As soon as he removed the ice heart from Leonard he took a few steps back, waiting for what might happen.

Leonard showed a confused expression when he saw Dan jump at him and take the ice heart, he actually didn't even remember what was happening or anything as his head was a mass.

It wasn't till he saw steam coming from the water that he was in, that he finally started remembering something, as he tried to look at Dan wanting to say something he heard Dan say to him:

"Just wait, its happening."

He looked at the water and saw that it started boiling giving him a shock and making him want to jump out of it as fast as possible.

But after taking another look he noticed that he actually didn't feel anything, he felt no heat, no discomfort, nothing at all, as if he wasn't inside a tub of boiling water, make him look at Dan in confusion.

Seeing him look at him Dan said in a calm tone which calmed him a little:

"It's alright you don't have to worry, it's just your ability awakening, listen: set down, calm yourself and try feeling your body, you power didn't awake yet they are just showing first signs of awakening, what you need to do is concentrate on feeling it and pushing it out of your body, this way you all have an advantage when it comes to controlling it later.

"You should know that Katherine wasted most of her time in the first day just to feel her power, if you do it now, it will be easier and you will win some time." Dan used a calm clear tone as he told him about all of that, making Leonard calm down and listen to what he told him to do and accept his words.

After he calmed and set down trying to feel his power, Dan released a breath of air, he left Leonard in his room, and left to his, he took a bath before going to have breakfast.

For the first time he was the last one there, when he entered, Katherine looked at him and after she saw that Leonard wasn't with him she asked:

"How did it go? did Leonard awake his ability?"

"It has gone well, he had shown the first signs for awakening an ability, but it will take a bit more time." Dan said.

He thought about it and he concluded that probably the power in his body wasn't enough for his awakening, it probably happened because of the shock his body had after the ice heart was taken from him making the power inside it expand suddenly, meaning that his awakening won't be a fast one like Katherine's but will take a while.

"So he's ability will awaken fast right? I mean we really don't have a lot of time after all." Nero asked.

"Yeah, don't worry it will only take a day or so, and there's no danger at all so there's really no need to worry." Dan said.

"So... after his awakening can I have the bow?" Randy asked after Dan finished his words.

"Well there's only you in our little group that needs it, so of course it's your turn... But I have been thinking that aftre you can we give it to old Frank or Barry, what do you think about that?" Dan nodded his head at Randy's question before asking in uncertainty.

He wanted people to know that by following them, they weren't just doing work for nothing, he wanted them to know that they could get stronger and live better; of course he was going to use that as a mean to stop their anger from rising after kidnapping them later on.

"We can do that, I'm sure just the few of us aren't strong enough to go through what's coming." Robin was the first to talk.

"Yes having more trustworthy people with us is going to be a great thing, and we can even make an example of them, making the others know that by following us they too can got power." Robin added.

"Ok, it's decided, and then who should we give it to old Frank or Barry?" Dan asked, he already had a candidate in mind but he wanted to ask their opinions.

"I personally think that Barry will need an ability more, as he's already a great help to us even without it, and he had gone through two dangerous missions since we met him, we should rewarded him and let the others know that with danger comes rewards." Randy answered, he understood the important of gifts and all as a soldier.

Nero also nodded his head showing his aide, he too knee the importance of that, as even the royal guards gave rewards to those that worked hard and suffered for them.

"That's what I thought too, then it's decided the bow will be given to Barry after Randy." Dan nodded.

Not long after, they had their breakfast before separating and going to take care of their things.

Dan returned to Leonard room, and he found him still setting in the bath tub except that the water had already evaporated, leaving him setting there.

His skin was as red as blood and heat was radiating from his body, but his face didn't show any signs of pain or anything like that, making Dan relax a little.

"How are you doing? were you able to feel anything?"

"I somehow get the feeling as if I can feel something but it soon disappears as soon as I try concentrating at it." Leonard answered while sighing.

His words made it seem as if he didn't notice anything wrong about himself, but if he saw how he looked, Dan was sure that he would get a shock as he didn't seem fine at all, but Dan also understood that even though he looked like that he was alright, because that was just a side effect of an ability awakening which will disappear as soon as it does.

After that Dan talked a little with Leonard, making him stay in his room till his ability awakend entirely.

When Leonard asked him how will he know that his ability had awakened, Dan answered him saying that when he touches something and it catch on fire that would mean that he had already awakened.

After he left Leonard's room, he found Robert and asked him to go with him to the cave where the ships were, as he wanted to take a look at them one more time and see if there's anything to do to make them go a little bit faster.

He didn't tell Robert his true reason, he just said that he wanted to take another look at the ships as the great migration was close.

Robert was surprised and afraid a little as he didn't know if it had anything to do with little Ru, but he still couldn't reject him so he just accepted it and they left after Dan told the others to not wait for him for lunch.

"Robert I wanted to ask you, is there a way to get the ships to go a little bit faster?" as they were walking on the tunnel Dan asked Robert out of the blue.

"Well there are many answers to that question, so

can you be more specific?" Robert said.

"What do you mean specific"

"Like if you want to know about answers that would need making changes and modifications to the ships, or just some little tricks that can be used, that's what I mean."

"I asked because I wanted to know if we can make a ship go faster in this year's Great Migration, we don't really have time to make any modifications, so tell me about things that can be done fast." Dan answered after he understood what Robert meant.

"If it is for this year's Great Migration then we really don't have time to do much, we would be left with just a few simple options like removing any unnecessary things to make the ship lighter, you understand just simple things that might not even help." Robert said while shaking his head.

Dan nodded his head, he understood that they didn't have enough time for modifications, but that didn't stop him from thinking about it, and about Robert's suggestion on throwing unnecessary weights, that actually was the real reason of his visit to the cave as he wanted to see if he could find somethings to discard.

They then moved for a while more before making it to the cave, this time they moved straight to one of the ships.

When they stepped on the surface of the ship, it seemed that one of the crewmen heard their footsteps as a young voice come from inside it along with the sound of footsteps moving toward them:

"Grandpa Robert is that you, I thought that you said you weren't coming today?"

When he heard the voice Dan smiled, it was the voice of the young woman little Ru, he didn't expect her to be the first person they would meet.

Robert looked at Dan after hearing little Ru's voice, seeing the smile on his face he panicked a little, but he knew that he couldn't do anything so he just calmed himself.

Little Ru jumped to the deck happily but her face paled when she saw Dan standing there smiling at her, she took two steps back and she almost shouted but then she heard Robert saying gently:

"Don't worry little Ru, sir Dan is only here to take another look at the ship."
