《The Man With RPG》03 - Here to Save the Day

“It’s Brutus the Ape, we’ve got to run,” said one of Chad’s friends.
Both of them picked Chad up as they fled. John on the other hand watched as he saw an oversized ape laughing at the masked man known as Rock Knuckle.
“Stay down Knuckle,” said Brutus.
Rock Knuckle got up with his feet staggering. The lights in his eyes were still burning with fervor. He wasn’t going to give up.
“I’m gonna defeat you,” said Rock Knuckle.
Rock Knuckle raised both of his fists up in the air, standing in a boxing stance. The small debris from the broken wall levitated in the air as it then combined together forming into boxing gloves around Rock Knuckle’s fists. The hero was ready for battle.
Ape and hero charged at each other baring their fists and knuckles together.
A bystander stood and watched, amazed by the current situation. But something else came right in front of his eyes.

The heck, are you joking Sistema? I just now knew their existence and you’re telling me to jump in that. Hell no, I’m not going to accept.
A direct refusal while his eyes saw the confrontation between these two beings. The floor and walls cracked as the whole gym turned into a battleground.
Then the fighting hero, Rock Knuckle saw the gawking spectator. His justice instinct kicked in.
“You! Get out of here!” Rock Knuckle shouted.

Objective: Escape from school before it collapses
Reward: EXP
Would the user accept?
Of course.
John wasn’t an idiot, he only stayed just to make sure that everything was real. It was hard for him to accept everything as it was, considering that everything happened in a single day. From his return to the past to him having Sistema and now know the existence of heroes and villains.
He bolted out of the gym. Yet the moment he got out, the wall of the gym behind him blew up as two silhouettes emerged.
John didn’t look back as he kept on running. Unknown to John, Brutus held Rock Knuckle on the ground as his ape fist pummeled the masked hero.
“Hahahaha.”
John could hear the laughter of the ape as he kept sprinting down the hall. Students who just noticed the commotion were still in a daze, while some who were rational was already running away.
John ignored everything else and kept on running. He took a few sharp turns as he left the noise behind. But at times, he could hear the crumbling noises of the school walls while bumping shoulders several times with the students wandering in the hallway.
Before he knew it, he was out through the school entrance and stopped by the side of the main street. John looked back as he saw more and more students rushing out.
John stood up and Sistema greeted him.
Quest Complete
User level up to level 2
John was glad about leveling up but he was still concerned about the battle inside the school.
Heroes? I guess things aren’t the same like I remember.
Soon, the teachers guided the students to the football field far away from the school building. The only thing they could do was to avoid being caught up in the fight.

John stood among the students as his eyes didn’t leave the sight of the building. Then out of nowhere, one of the students shouted while pointing something in the air.
“It’s Jewel Eagle!”
John looked up and saw a person flying in the sky with four shining wings on her back.
“What in the…” John's words trailed off as he couldn’t cast his eyes away from the flying person.
He then saw the wings of the Jewel Eagle wrapping herself forming into a shape of a cone. She dove straight into the school and bust a hole in it leaving the spectators to theorized on what was going on.
While John was still confused, he heard the rest of the people around him getting excited about the appearance of Jewel Eagle.
Mental note, I better look this up quickly.
Half an hour later, the students and teachers turned their heads at the school building. They witnessed for themselves as the school started to crumble. Everything broke apart and one of the students reminded them about something.
“Where is Jewel Eagle?”
The moment she questioned it, three silhouettes emerged as they flew into the sky. Everyone applauded giving a massive cheer at the heroine of the day. Jewel Eagle floated in the sky with two unconscious beings in her hands.
Soon, it was time day to go back home. Police cars and ambulances riddled the street in front of the destroyed school. There was some collateral damage but thankfully there was no death. John’s dad picked him up as the apparent worry on the father was justified.
“Son,” said the dad.
He went up to John and gave him a hug.
Dad…
John didn’t do a thing nor speak. His hands were awkward not knowing what to do.
“are you hurt?” dad asked.
“I’m fine,” he said.
“Let’s get you back home,” said dad.
John got back home, safe, and sound. His mother was already crying in tears after hearing about the incident. After his parents calmed down, John went into his bedroom and took a seat in front of his computer.
He cracked his knuckles as he said.
“Time to figure it out whether this is my real past or not.”

Cultivation Anomaly
Follow the journey of an individual given a classic cheat trope in a cultivation world. What does a man do when he finds himself unsure of who he really is yet is given a cheat? What really happens to a cultivation world when it is overrun by MC level characters? Is the cultivation world just run by cruel young masters, short-sighted elders and uncaring experts? Note: Tags may be removed or added to this story as it progresses. For example, I added the harem tag because I wasn't sure if it would appear so be forewarn. Also, productive feedback is always appreciated even it may be ignored. Note 2: Original idea inspired by "Arrogant Young Master Template A Variation 4". I wanted to do something similar but have a more gritty realistic feel. The system SHOULD differentiate as the story goes on but if it doesn't it means I need a rewrite. Either way, read AYMTV4, it's great. Note 3: If you give criticism to be helpful, please try to be descriptive, specific, and focused on making my story better, not changing the story to how you would write it. Go to the link below if you want more specifics. https://youtu.be/-6HOdHEeosc?t=3240

I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)
