《War of the Zwei Kinds [Logbook Deactivated]》16 - Life's a taken, Captain's a breaketh

Echelon One was tasked to scout out a potential Axis Weapons Trading Facility. Not only the troopers were there, but, they were also assisted by General Shriway and her Phantom Squad.
Quite unusual to see General on the battlefield as she is usually commanding us back at base but hey, the Echelon trust her with absolute soul and skills.
"William, you go up ahead and defend the forest with the Phantoms. I will take care up ahead." Sherrinford said as she gestured Captain Shanina the sign of approval.
"On it, Griffon. " William in a hunched position slowly ran towards a nearby darker forest side where the Phantoms where camping.
"Well well, welcome back..." Miss Aguado said as she gestured him to stay by her.
"So, what am I suppose to do? I was given the word to defend here with you guys." William asked Miss Aguado as she was reading her map while looking ahead with a pair of binoculars.
"Defend is defend, Will. We stay here and if they get ambushed, well, we attack.
"Anything useful, Aqua ?" Rose asked Miss Aguado.
"Nothing much Rose, no calls and no enemies in sight. I wonder if they are already alerted." Miss Aguado got worried as she uses her Guardian which drew some dots on her map, it was similar to water droplets.
(Interesting, a water type Guardian. Even her family name has a relation to a water goddess.)
"Nevermind, there are enemies around." Miss Aguado confirmed. "But, they are all around the mountainside and in the facility."
"Alright then. Copy that." Rose said as she loosened her body and looks into her sniper's scope again.
Faltina was repairing her drone, making sure it was intact for proper lift-off. "How about we let Demonia and Rampage to ambush the mountainsides? Pretty sure those two can handle it easily."
"Are you sure? We weren't given orders to be allowed to go anywhere else." Miss Aguado said as she turned on her walkie-talkie.
"General Shriway, this is Polo, Rampage and Demonia wants permission to ambush the Mountainside Campe Area, are they permitted?" Miss Aguado explained before she continued looking at her map.
"Polo, this is Alpha. I heard your question. Permission is granted. Let Rampage and Demonia ambush. Our job is almost done. Over." General Shriway replied in a very static yet clear way.

"Copy that." *Turns off Walkie-talkie* "You two can go on ahead. Me, Rose and Falt and can take care of sniping." Miss Aguado responded.
"Roger," William said as he smiled and got up, walking to a nearby tree where she rested. William pats Damonica's shoulder softly as she was taking her usual day naps.
Demonica opened her eyes and in a dreamy way, smiled sweetly.
"Hmmp~? What is it.." she asked.
"We are allowed to ambush a nearby camp, willing to do it?" William asked as he handed his hand.
Demonica nods and reached for his arm, being pulled up. Preparing herself, she makes herself comfortable and holsters her weapons properly.
When done, the two-headed off North-East. They had to climb a small hill and had to cling themselves to a sensitive mountain creak as it looked easy to fall. Heading near an icy grassland, the two layed behind a boulder and decided to make a plan.
"Demonia, I will scout at the base and you follow my back alright? Sounds fair?" William asked.
"I don't mind. We have to know how many Axis people are residing. If we miscount, the remains could escape or attack us blindly." She replied.
"Well, that sounds approving. Let's go." William said as he looked through his binoculars and counted the many resting soldiers.
"Hmm, there's the one guarding, heavily armed, possibly an LMG. Wearing heavy armour. Others are rather light and unarmed. Looks easy, hard to do." William responded.
"Alright...I got an idea. I heard your Guardian could transform into other guns, how about gunning down the Heavy Guard swiftly and I could take care of the rest? "
"Yeah, alright. But disadvantage, I am bad at sniping. So go easy. Two, I also want some MPs so save me some, alright." William smirked as he pulled out Shin-ae's crystal.
"Ah-huh... Sure" She made a smile in response as she held onto her HK33, but a slightly different variation that William had.
William summoned Shin-ae's weapon as he thought up of the Sniper Rifle in his head, actually transforming it.
As William Bipods the rifle, he breathed slowly and looks into the special scope. (I swear Shin-ae, I hope your aim is good. I need your buffs.)
Zooming onto the Heavy's weak spot, it's head. He took a steady aim by breathing in.

Demonia immediately started her stopwatch as he pulled the trigger, managing to shoot the Heavy Guard's dead. Since the rifle was magically customised, it had both a silencer and a compensator to help ease the shot.
The other axis troops still not alerted, they were bludgeoned and shot to death by Demonia who took a small silent approach to painful carnage. When she attacked, she doesn't make a sound, as if bloodthirsty.
William desummoned the rifle back to the crystal and ran to keep up with Demonia. He shot down every axis troop that tried to attack Demonia from behind as he summoned Sae-Yong's blade to finish off one of the enemies who tried to stab Demonia.
Since the blade had psionic energy, it cut the kukri that the axis soldier had into half, only leaving its hilt on hand.
The axis troop confused, it stayed still for a couple of seconds before Demonia whacked it's head hard with her sledgehammer, turning into mush, ughh gruesome.
William splattered in some blood, made a stare towards Demonia who was breathing hard and tired from the fight.
"Oi, you made me dirty. What do you want me to do, you dolt." William roughened out on his partner.
"Ehhh?~ Sorry, I didn't mean to dirty your uniform. It's just natural substance alright." Demonia apologised before she starts wiping her sledge with a cloth that she did not rip out from a dead soldier's shirt.
William scavenged the campsite and stole the resources and some documents that he found.
"Hey, Demonia, Do you want the heavy's LMG. It looks like it could fit you." William asked.
"No, thank you. I don't want to carry anything heavier and I do not like stealing Enemy's weapons. Disrespectful." She replied.
"But, it's a German LMG. Your own country and we are in the UK? So they stole your country's weapons?" William asked.
"Doesn't matter...I don't want to carry a heavy gun." Demonia replied back as she continued polishing. She sat on the enemy's backrest that was randomly next to their tent.
(Interesting, I found me some good guns. Hmm, which should I take? A Heckler-Koch or this M4? Ooh, How about this MP7? Man, taking an enemy's weapons makes me restless, there are too many guns to choose from. But most of this is Civilian Grade, So no big deals.) William wonders in his head as he half-brained read through a document containing some Corrupted Crystals and how to empower or decorrupt them.
"Wait, so a multi-user usually contain more aura and they can decorrupt crystals with that?" William asked Demonia as he turned to face her.
"Yes, it is possible but... General said it has consequences. So, it is best not to try." Demonia answered.
"Why not?" William asked.
"Well, the user can itself get corrupted and also it is just faster to send it to the guardian dimension to be cleansed as they have special ways to do it with the help from the Elders or Clerics," Demonia replied as she holstered her sledgehammer onto her back and stretched her back.
William zips up his bag before putting it on.
"Shall we?" He asked.
"Yeah, we can go and report now," Demonia answered.
After some time of communicating to the Captain and General. William and Demonia met up with the other Phantom members.
They slowly started to pack up as a few helicopters were nearing.
The Captain lined up her troops as The General guided the pilot where to next.
After some time of bandaging wounds and reporting, they were sent back to base as another Echelon was sent out for another pre-planned mission.
William, Shanina, Chau-Min and Sherrinford took the day off as their jobs were done for this day.
As this was a Sunday, They excused themselves to visit a nearby bowling alley to grab a few drinks, throw balls and play some pool halfway after exchanging their Mercenary Pennies into one hundred pounds or more and entering them into their special Credit Card.
Demonia, Rose, Faltina and Silvenna also met up with them coincidentally. Since they were together, the two groups decided to have a small competition of who scored the more pins in bowling, trying to get themselves on the store's leaderboard.

Protagonist: The Whims of Gods
Book one now also on Amazon! After quitting her job as a therapist and grabbing some work at a dog shelter, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small surprise when she was chosen by a god. Thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are suddenly a reality, Tess will quickly find that just surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and that spiders keep trying to claw her face off. One thing's for certain, though: The possibilities are endless. Will she end up wrestling a dragon? Becoming an arch-mage? Opening a quaint, bookstore, coffee shop, and wine bar for elves? The choice is hers... As long as she can live long enough to make it. Protagonist is a fairly classic LitRPG novel with character levels, classes, stats, settlements, and other LitRPG elements. Unlike a lot of LitRPG stories, while the protagonist has some perks, she doesn't start off overpowered. You can expect to see her struggle as she advances. This novel also takes the opportunity to explore some less frequently seen builds, shying away from any min-maxing. Chapters are about ~2000-3000 words and are released at 8:00am ET every other day.

A Collection of Tales
This is or rather will become a collection of short stories set in the worlds of The Misplaced Dungeon and Unexpected Consequences as I am finding it difficult to avoid including some amusing ideas that would sidetrack those stories. And now also include stories from the world of And Dungeon Makes Three. Unless otherwise stated these stories happen in the background and are here because they seem to want to get out. Updating will be irregular.

Keepers of the Neeft
The Indigo Empire has conquered half the world’s nations, their people, and their gods. According to its citizens, old and new, the rest of the world will follow. In the capital of the Throne-home, the Imperial Academy produces the next generation of great leaders to drive that expansion. Cadryn Bence knows he will be one such leader, he’s overcome his common birth, mixed heritage, and every other obstacle to be the top of his class. He dreams of glory on the southern front against the Gravanik States. He will not be finding it. Instead, if the glory he expects. Far to the north, lies the unassumingly named North-Eastern Extreme Frontier Tower, a backwater post if ever there were one. Through the machinations of the Emperor’s state religion, and a cult within it, Cadryn will find himself on his way to this first assignment. On the frontier, Cadryn will discover that neither his campions, nor the Neeft itself, are what he expects. Follow Cadryn on his journey to discover many truths: about himself, about the Empire, and about the very world he call home. ****** Keepers of the Neeft is a (bit dark) fantasy story revolving around Cadryn and his journey of discovery. There’s a fairly wide cast of supporting characters (his fellow Keepers) all with their own reasons and motivations behind how they came to be at the Neeft. Current release plan is to have part 2 completed, then fully edit up till the end of part 2. I am in the process of editing the earlier content as I complete the updates/re-writes. Apologies for any rough content in the meantime. My primary objective with Keepers of the Neeft is to work on developing content flow and establishing a community of people who enjoy my writing style. I write SF/F and horror as my primary genres, Keepers is actually my 3rd novel length work, but my current project. Updates of new Content will currently be in the form of one larger post on Tuesdays.

Tales of Light
These are a collection of short stories following different narratives. It's more like a playground and experimenting with ideas or subjects I don't want to write a complete story about. It's also a place to test my skills as a writer. Think of it as a notebook of un/finished ideas. Feel free to pick and choose which chapters to read. They aren't related unless specifically said otherwise. Just relax, enjoy, and cringe at goofy stories. There may be a timeline of events, or not... who knows?
