After around half an hour of walking, Darius noticed some movement in his peripheral vision. He quickly turned towards the movement, sighing in relief as he notices it’s a rabbit which moves towards him. He looked down at it a bit confused as it continually hopped towards him, before he noticed some text above it.

Darius frowned as he read the text. “What am I supposed to fight this? It’s just a bunny, why would I do that?” When the Hare got within 2 metres of Darius it suddenly jumped at him, biting his shoulder and scratching at his chest. He cried out in pain as he reached up and grabbed it, pulling it and a small chunk of his shoulder off of him. Darius quickly threw the Hare before it could do any more damage, managing to hit a tree with it.

It hit the ground breathing heavily, clearly very injured. Darius walked over to grab a large rock, which he brought over to it before he dropped the rock on it.

Darius frowned as he read his status. “Right, let’s see what exactly this does.” He said as he focused on the Bleeding effect.

Bleeding: Causes HP loss every 5 seconds.

“Shit! I need to deal with this now.” He quickly took off his shirt, wincing as he did. He rips a strip off it, making a makeshift bandage which he quickly ties around his shoulder, making it as tight as he can. Darius’ eyes widen when another screen appears.

First Aid is a good way to ensure you don’t die after a fight, as long as you are awake to perform it.

Darius looks at the screen a bit surprised. “Huh, so I can get skills through quests, or just doing what the skill is?” He shakes his head slightly, before he stands and he starts to walk again, keeping an eye out for any more Hares. He encounters one more as he walks, dealing with it by running at it and kicking it before it can jump at him, and then killing it with a rock like last time.

After around 30 more minutes of walking, Darius finally manages to find a stream, where he kneels next to it. He collects some water in his hands, drinking it quickly and greedily.

Opening his eyes he looks at his Map again, setting his second waypoint at the stream. He starts to head back to the rock outcropping, following the path he came using the map to orient himself. Darius decides to pick up the second Hare he killed, knowing that he needs food and he shouldn’t waste their bodies. He carries the Hare’s body back to the rock outcropping, where he dropped it on the ground.

“Let’s see, so status opens my status, map opens a map, and i have a quest, so logically Quest.”
