Piles of dead creatures lay above the mountaintop where Chen Yun and Zhong Yi were at.

The white-robed young boy Zhong Yi was now full of injuries and his clothes had turned ragged that in any angle you will see many holes and scratches appeared. His brows were creasing intensely as if he was in a middle of choosing two choices, while his face was changing from decisiveness and fear. His four manifested weapons were gone but he was holding a long red blazing spear on his hands, though he didn’t inject any elemental energy on his weapon, it blaze fire on its body as it dances fiercely from side to side. The hand which was holding the blazing spear was not burnt or hurt from the flames itself, it even amplifies his capabilities than before.

But Chen Yun was even worse because he was bare; a one foot long and one inch deep three scratched mark appears at his chest that his bones were barely seen and was bleeding profusely, but it was the only injuries he got. Still, if Zhong Yi’s injuries added together it was still equivalent on his three marked scratches. His two large ethereal gauntlets was still intact and was glowing fiercely; the glow in his eyes was strong as it looks directly towards his enemy and a strong fighting intent was emitted from these pair of eyes, though he was willing to fight more his body cannot as he was swaying from side to side and was hardly kept his balance standing upright.

“Chen Yun, are you alright?” Zhong Yi asked as his eyes looked at the culprit who caused their miserable state.

“I am fine; do you have an instant healing formation?” Chen Yun answered with his flickering eyes.

“…I can but… I will be devoid of any energy after I used it.” Zhong Yi.

“Then do it.” Chen Yun seriously said.

“Do you think we can kill it?” He asked.

“Just do it.” Chen Yun replied while clenching his hands.

Gritting his teeth, Zhong Yi couldn’t help but curse why this beast appears in this group of the demonic beast!

It was a Swift Golden Wolf King!

It was this demonic beast that turns them into their miserable state.

The Swift Golden Wolf King was about five meters beast, with its claws as its primary weapon which was embedded on the ground and hints of crimson colored blood appeared on its claw’s tips. Its limbs were packed with muscles, just with its sheer strength, it badly injured Chen Yun and Zhong Yi. Its fur was golden in color and it glows when the rays of the sun touch the golden fur. A crown was attached on its head… er… no, it was his pair of ears that looks like the pointing sides of a king’s crown which indicates that he was clearly the king of this demonic beast.

It was also the culprit why this common Swift black Wolf was mutated into Mutated Black Werewolf!

Zhong!

A green light suddenly appears below Chen Yun’s feet; Zhong Yi was waving his hands as he performed the healing formation that Chen Yun requested.

When the formation was finished, the formation turned into a green leaf and envelops Chen Yun quickly healing his deep wound scratch on his chest.

Zhong Yi coughed out blood with his overexerting his limit, a backlash struck him making fall to the ground, collapsed.

And the time he collapsed was also the exact time where the Swift Golden Wolf King moves!

Chen Yun who was enveloped with the green leaf, nourishing his body and healing his injuries also moved.

Inclining his right hand into attacking stance and channeled his elemental energy to it.

Overlapping sounds of his large ethereal gauntlets and claws of the Swift Golden Wolf King echoed.

Chen Yun was blown back beside the collapsed Zhong Yi while a trail of footmarks lay before him.

The Swift Golden Wolf King was still at the swiping position while looking at Chen Yun as if he was putting disdain of how weak Chen Yun was.

An ignition suddenly erupted from within his heart, unknown if he understands what the Swift Golden Wolf King’s intent that made him furious or it just suddenly ignited.

Chen Yun stomped the ground.

Crack appears!

He dashed.

Zizizi!

Unknowingly, a white and unique color of energy trailed behind him as it echoed ‘zizizi’ sounds.

The Swift Golden Wolf King also dashed towards him, swaying its golden furs behind.

Chen Yun channels his right hands while he clenched it into a fist. The wolf king also prepares its right claws.

When Chen Yun saw the fast approaching wolf he couldn’t help but curse, while he crossed his two arms and the large ethereal gauntlets followed suit.

Chen Yun received the attack of the wolf king and he didn’t take any damage, an inconceivable feat and he even didn’t push back, but…

His body was forced to turn to his right because of the attack, which was preplanned by this genius wolf.

And because of that, an opening appears!

Chen Yun was blown away falling directly from the peak, but before he fell, he exerted his right hand to catch and dragged the unconscious Zhong Yi while his blood trickled and trailed in the air.

Satisfaction appeared on the Swift Golden Wolf King, while its golden fur gently dances as the winds pass through.

A victorious howl came out from the wolf king.

The demonic beasts which were the Swift Black Wolf and Mutated Black Werewolf answered his billows praising their king’s great victory.

Some distance away from where those demonic beasts, beside a stream there are two people lying flatly on the ground.

It was Chen Yun and Zhong Yi.

“Huff, huff, huff” a sound of someone who was chasing his breath faintly echoed in the stream’s noisy rushing sounds of water.

Chen Yun was breathing heavily and another deep wound was on his left arm that it almost cut off from his body while his blood runs towards the streams flowing freely on the running waters.

Zhong Yi was still unconscious and was lying still on the ground.

With no other choice, Chen Yun gritted his teeth then he turns his body and forcefully stood up but when he pushed his two hands on the ground, his left arm’s injury was bleeding profusely that his blood was gushing.

As if he lost his energy he laid flat back to the ground and groaned that leads him to unconsciousness.

Thirty minutes later, Chen Yun wakes up. He was still dyed red with his blood as on his left arm where the injury was at, trickled a large amount of blood which in turn he was now white like a sheet of paper.

The loss of blood was so large that it was unfathomable that he was still breathing alive.

“Urrgh” a faint voice rang beside Chen Yun.

Zhong Yi was creasing his brows, and a minute later his eyelids slowly rose.

“Where am I?” He asked.

He turns his head to the left and saw Chen Yun looking at him with a pale countenance.

He was shocked!

‘Crap, Chen Yun is badly hurt!’ he screamed in his mind.

He quickly stood up.

Swish!

He grabbed something on his chest’s clothes which was now tattered.

A blue colored pill was placed on his left hand.

Gulp…

He took the pill and a blue colored aura glows from his body, it was the Elemental Energy Recovery Pill.

After he took the medicine he didn’t dally and wave his two hands and made a complex incantation.

Ziiiing!

Like before, a green colored formation appears on the ground where Chen Yun was laid flat.

It then turned into a large green leaf and envelopes Chen Yun.

Sssshhhh!

The deep wound on his left arm quickly closed itself and mended that could be seen with the naked eyes.

After he finished the formation he sat cross-legged and unlike before he didn’t cough blood.

The reason behind why he fell into consciousness was because he thought that after he finished casting the formation he will then took a recovery pill but who would have thought that a sudden breakthrough comes on his dantian resulting a backlash against his loss of elemental energy to support himself.

The breaking through was a good news and can replenish his elemental energy, but he was not Chen Yun who can bypass most of the requirements. When a person reached an imminent breakthrough he needs a spare of elemental energy in order for him to control the gathered elemental energy that surges towards his dantian.

Luckily, he survived the sudden breakthrough. The unintended breakthrough was different from the planned breakthrough because the first was not intended so the practitioner clearly was left unprepared. While the latter was well prepared one, and if there is any mishap will occur he can quickly take action.

Right now, Zhong Yi’s aura has turned into a significant change, from the Peak of Mortal Realm towards the First Rank of Earthen Realm!

A while later, Zhong Yi opened his eyes, which gleams intensely!

“Yes! I reached Earthen Realm!” he jubilantly shouted to the sky.

“Yes, you indeed reached the Earthen Realm.” Someone said happily.

Zhong Yi turns his attention to the owner of that voice.

He saw Chen Yun smiling on him and was also sitting cross-legged and his face was now having a hint of redness in it than before.

“Are you okay now?” Zhong Yi asked while a hint of redness appears on his cheeks.

“Yes, but it was not completely healed, though I didn’t lose much elemental energy on that fight. But I lost nearly all my physical energy that even if I move right now, I will fell limp to the ground” Self mockingly said by Chen Yun.

“So we’ll stay here for several hours, I think that wolf king will not chase us right away.” Chen Yun added.

“Okay, I still need to consolidate this newfound power.” Zhong Yi happily answered as he walked towards the center of the streams and practiced his techniques adapting it to his new realm.

Chen Yun only replied with a smile on his face and circulated the Minor Gathering Technique. Strangely, the two-meter radius magnetic field was now two times larger!

Its gathering ability was increased by a large margin that the elemental energy of heaven and earth quickly entered the magnetic field, and the strands were five times thicker than before.

And the reason of it all was the mysterious unique white and a bit transparent energy swirling on Chen Yun’s head, but the most direct location of this unique energy was originated on his left eye!

The most surprising part was that Zhong Yi didn’t see or felt this unique energy and as if it was one with the world.
